It was a fabulous day. The facilities were outstanding as was the food and the treatments. The staff were very professional and friendly. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends.
We had a wonderful day in the spa, the facilities were fantastic and the kind and helpful staff made the day extra special! We will definitely be returning soon!
The food was amazing and the service was exceptional.
Lovely day. Amazing treatments and pool. The food was great
The hot smoked salmon was delicious. Would have liked to have had it with a side.
Very strange setting, at first I thought where we were seated was just additional seating for the reception area, and Nourish would be situated elsewhere, so whilst we were sat eating we had all the spa bookings coming and going at the reception desk. The lunch was ok, (very small). We would have purchased sides / extras to go with our small lunch, as it was not enough, but presumed extra items were not available as we were not offered any additional options. We weren't aware / advised by the staff that there was a menu for other / additional items until I went to pay our bar bill and saw the menu, at which point it was a bit late, so we ordered a brownie each. Compared to Spa's we have visited for the day at Centre Parcs and Rudding Park, this was nowhere near. On the plus, it is a lovely setting outside, the nice weather saved the day for us.
I was disappointed with the menu and food this visit. Last year was so good. Nice size portions and very tasty. This visit I found the portions on the small side and although the smoked salmon was very tasty the beetroot and radish were very poor Not sure how you got the beetroot that tasteless and the sauce was bland. It was also a suprise that we were only offered a main and dessert as my preference is a starter and dessert however that was resolved and we were allowed to substitute the cheapest light bite. I will be visiting again in August for my birthday treat with my cousin from Scotland who came last year for her birthday, I am hoping that it will live up to our memories from then.
We booked the brunch menu for our Rise & Shine spa morning and whilst we were able to make alternate food choices on the day we did think the menu was restrictive if you don't like eggs. The lady who served us (sorry didn't get her name) was lovely and as it was my Mum's birthday we were there celebrating went over and above to make her feel special. Thank you.
Very enjoyable morning chilling in the infinity pool and the sun was shining too 😏
Just loved all of it. Easy friendly service for drinks through the day no problems setting up a tab. Great smoothies. Lunch was just right and fresh. Even with a glass of prosecvo in hand I felt virtuous if that's possible. Would definitely go again
Enjoyed the food very much sat in the sun. Shame we felt like we were sitting in the car park.
The light lunch I had was fantastic fresh and flavoursome. Thanks for making my day so restful and relaxing. Thanks Johanne
The food was not nice, there should be a lot more variety then what was provided
We think the larger menu you are providing now is a very good idea there was a good selection of food to choose from
Staff were friendly
Great gluten free afternoon tea
I’ve been to spas all over the country and Coniston is up there with the best, absolutely first class for facilities, treatments and food. I’m a repeat customers and I’ve organised trips for my girlfriends. Lisa
Fabulous venue & friendly staff
We came for a spa and lunch. The whole time we were there was very relaxing and the food was amazing. We come back again.
We visited as part of the Easter indulgence spa day. After my beauty treatment which finished at 3.15pm I was offered a cup of tea and I went to drink it in the treatment waiting area. I was waiting for my friend who had a treatment at the same time. I was not shown to, or aware there was a relaxation room for after treatments. After my drink I walked around the pool area and could not see my friend but it was time for afternoon tea so I went and sat in the nourish cafe at 3.30pm. There was a table reserved with my name on but no one gave me any direction or asked if I wanted a drink or anything in the mean time. I waited another 15 minutes for my friend who had her treatment at the same time as me. She didn’t arrive. I asked at the spa reception but the receptionist said she wasn’t aware of any treatments running over. I decided to order some food in the mean time as it was almost 4pm - I ordered a main, 2 sides and a hot drink. The member of staff seemed hesitant to take my order “erm...I think that’s should be ok” My friend eventually arrived after 4.10pm and she said she had sat in the relaxation area waiting for me and had got cold and changed back into her clothes. I was still in my robe. She was told perhaps my treatment ran over by one of the therapists. This mis communication really put a downer in the whole spa day as we were both annoyed and we had been confused and sat about waiting for each other for over a hour. The food and drink I had ordered in the mean time didn’t arrive until after my friend found me. The afternoon tea tray also arrived at the same time, very little space on the table. We weren’t aware there was a vegetarian option so we couldn’t eat the bottom of the tray - salmon and sausage rolls. The scones came with just jam (no cream or butter) so we asked for butter. The tea didn’t arrive so we asked for that too and then had to aske for milk too. The food we did have was very nice and reasonably priced and the cafe was comfortable. It was simply the service that was very bad. When I paid my bill at the end I was only charged for my main course for which I was thankful. This experience was such a shame as the end of the day was really spoiled. Up until that point we had had a lovely time. I don’t feel as if it is somewhere I’d choose to come back to. I also wanted to suggest that the outdoor bar staff might offer to bring drinks rather than just being stood at the bar. I wasn’t drinking alcohol but it still would have been nice to have had some drinks brought over to us. Also pegs for towels outside as the spa was fully booked and busy and people were leaving their towels on the sun beds so there wasn’t anywhere to sit. I hope this feedback is useful for you. I feel the spa day packages could be really great if the service is improved upon.
Fab day at the spa and two course lunch for my birthday ! Love this hotel the staff and facilities are out of this world we will be back very soon xxx
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the spa with afternoon tea.
The afternoon tea we had was unsuitable for my dietary requirements so I when I discretely asked the waitress if I could have a replacement a head waiter came over to our table and was very patronising and told us we would have to eat in the main restaurant if we wanted something different which was impractical as we were there for a spa day and had dressing gowns and slippers on - and it was snowing. I felt very uncomfortable, embarrassed and would not dine again for that reason.
Food was lovely! Had the afternoon tea, would of preferred maybe a savoury scone due to the richness of the sweets but just personal preference. Can’t fault it
Absolutely delicious lunch as part of our spa day. Would highly recommend!
