About Norton House Hotel - Afternoon Tea
With a selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, warm scones, miniature cakes, pastries and a wide choice of teas, afternoon tea at Norton House can be perfectly combined with a stroll around our 55 acres of spectacular grounds. This has to be one of the most popular venues for afternoon tea in Edinburgh.
We also offer a baby shower themed afternoon tea, the perfect way to treat a mum-to-be and gather together friends and family before the new arrival.
Lovely afternoon. It was quiet when We were there. Lovely though
We had a Great time , our waiter was fantastic. We asked for a few adjustments to our menu and all was catered to with out any problems. Our food was fantastic, everything was brilliant. I recommend it highly and our waiter was so well mannered and helpful.
Lovely afternoon tea with a good selection of cakes and sandwiches and attentive friendly service - only one small gripe was that we had an odd number of sandwiches for two of us
Too much cinnamon. Asked for no white bread but still 4 sandwiches were white bread so I couldn't eat them. Macaroons were hard. Burnt hand trying to take lid off teapot to add hot water. Venue lovely but a bit soul less. Service ok but not very attentive. Seems better if waitress knew you then she was very friendly. Over priced for what we had. Food nice .fresh and good for a treat once in a while.
Lovely afternoon tea on your 2 for 1 deal.

Very enjoyable day.
Unfortunately the service was not what I would have expected, we where seated for 3pm with our prosecco brought shortly after however it was after 3.30pm before our food was brought after checking how long it would be as we had an appointment at 4. The food was lovely even though we had to rush it some what.
We had a lovely afternoon tea with a bottle of prosecco in a groupon deal. Great value for money. However my only gripe was the bar prices. £38 for a bottle of pinot grigio seems far too excessive. Wonder what the mark up is on that ?? Otherwise had a lovely day
Lovely way to celebrate our wedding anniversary as we got married here 3 years ago.
My star ratings may seem a little harsh but we did have a good afternoon. Lovely champagne too. Quite expensive compared to others I have had, even near London, but the service was less attentive than it needs to be to impress.
Love Norton House, always have a great time whether it’s just for lunch or overnight stay. Highly recommend!
Extremely good value. Staff were attentive without being over fussy. Quality of the ingredients was very good and you can tell the ingredients are 'home made'. I would return again.
Excellent service in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere.
Service was excellent. Food was very tasty. Lots of options and all good flavours
Lovely afternoon in ambient surroundings. Food superb however the scones may be a little small. Gluten free option excellent and kids afternoon tea was spot on. I had a promotional voucher which made this a bargain
It would have been nicer to have the afternoon tea at a coffee table and not so formal as a dining table.
Service was excellent and food and tea was amazing, thank you ☺️
very good value for money
Thus was a lovely 60th Birthday gift
Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea, the only suggestion I'd make is that there be a choice of more savoury and less cakes. That's only my preference, as all the food was top rate.
Staff were very attentive but not intrusive. Disappointing consistency between online booking request and actioning. Non of the requested had been read. I paid over £70 for three standard afternoon teas. Very expensive but nothing outstanding in comparison to other venues. The room itself was quite a distance for mobility impaired individuals and also from public conveniences. Sad to say not impressed and would not recommend it for the cost.
Thought service was excellent we had an exceptional friendly waitress who was both attentive but professionally un- intrusive of our space so we could enjoy our afternoon tea - the High tea was made personal with beautiful etched chocolate message on one of plates - excellent value for money x
Our afternoon tea was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was lovely and the service was excellent.
