Norma is a contemporary and provocative restaurant, inspired by the food and culture of Sicily with particular emphasis on the Moorish influences on the Island’s cuisine. The celebrated Chef, Ben Tish will be at the helm.
Norma will embody the celebrated old-school Italian hospitality and charm, taking inspiration from the grand café culture found in Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and celebrate the richly influenced cuisine of the Island.
Set across three floors of a characterful townhouse on Charlotte Street in London’s Fitzrovia, the first two floors will be dedicated to the restaurant and a cocktail bar, with the top floor a private dining space. There will also be a crudo bar at the entrance of Norma, serving up the freshest seasonal raw seafood, dressed in delicious olive oils and other flavourings.
The main menu will feature modern Sicilian-inspired dishes using seasonal Italian and British produce, from a selection of anti-pasti and pastas, to larger grilled meat and fish dishes. Upstairs in the private dining room, guests can order large family-style sharing dishes including whole fish and platters of seasonal vegetables.
due to cover 19 we were not able to attend but we will be booking as soon as this situation is over. Keep safe! Jonathan & Karen Edwards
Your system is still sending out ridiculous emails despite you being shut. You really are annoying.
I found the dishes over-priced
Private dining room is such a treat. Lovely share platters and an excellent wine cellar to match. Knowledgable friendly staff. We loved our visit, probably the last group to do so in this crazy Covid time
Excellent food and staff, we will definitely be back
We had a family celebration in the private dining room. Food and service really were exceptional, and we had a lovely evening.
Delicious, inventive Sicilian-Moorish cuisine and great cocktails. The anchovies, cod's roe, papardelle and stone bass dishes were all excellent. Can't wait to go again.
Lovely decor, loved the tile flooring! Good service, took our coats, explained the menu, topped up our wine and water without asking. Varied menu, portion size spot on, no one rushed us...only slight complaint is that the wine menu is pretty expensive and you have to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to the toilet.
Wonderful. Keep it up.
Lovely meal and service. Will be returning when next in London.
Great food, loved it
Our food was delicious and every one of our table of five liked the restaurant very much. The only thing that was not quite perfect was the comparatively long gap between our starters and the arrival of the main courses. And if dessert orders had been taken more promptly, two of us who had hoped to have desserts would not have had to leave for the theatre without tenjoying them.
Attentive service, great atmosphere and amazing food
Beautiful place, delicious food and friendly service
Excellent food, beautifully presented. A bit pricey unfortunately which might reduce the number of visits one could make.
Delicious food and waiter recommended an excellent bottle of red that complimented the pasta dishes perfectly. Service was just the right blend of informal and friendly whilst still attentive and efficient. And best arancini ever!
Excellent service! The staff really make this place shine. Very friendly and attentuve. Great recommendations. The food was super high quality with beautiful flavours. One of my new favourite restaurants in London.
Amazing food, experience and service
Arrived after a show so our booking was for 10.30pm, on a Tuesday, which I am sure accounts for a lack of atmosphere. The menu is a little light on choice but the food was fantastic. The lamb starter was recommended which was served like a steak tartare, then moved on to a burratta and mushroom arancini. The best I have ever had. Finished with the chocolate cake ,coffee and homemade limoncello. Can't wait to go back.
A wonderful experience. Marvelous booth table; excellent attention by the staff. One suggestion - ensure the plates for the pasta dishes are warmed before being brought to the table. But this is a minor quip. We enjoyed this feast of Sicilian cuisine. The raw fish courses were amazing, as were the pasta dishes.
What a fabulous lunch, all our dishes were cooked to perfection and utterly delicious, the ambiance downstairs was stylish and welcoming and our waiter could not have been more helpful.
Wonderful pasta. Excellent staff. I’d definitely visit again.
Great food, great service, great ambience! Loved it.
