About Niu, The Podium
Niu (which means “nine” in the Viking language) is the sixth installation of the Vikings group after its arrival in the Philippines way back in 2011. Established at the lavish atmosphere of SM Aura in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Niu stands out with its huge and decorative space along with its massively wide variety of international and local cuisines. Niu understands that Filipinos are excited for new flavors hence the commitment of bringing the finest dishes from all over the world. Guests can take the pleasure of appreciating delicious food while being in an ambience full of grandeur and comfort.
Niu takes pride in itself with having only the best. Despite being the most recent branch off from the Vikings Group, Niu is distinctly different just like how each Vikings branch is different amongst each other. With its carefully hand-picked selection of chefs, employees & staff who dedicate their excellent service, there is no wonder that Niu will definitely take its guests on an evolved dining experience.
Will be back on dinner next time
I had a great time celebrating my birthday and all the staff are so accommodating.
The Foie Gras is much tastier in NIU SM Aura, we only got to taste two of the three listed as special menu, bec the other one is not available. Maybe you should only list items that are available on the day. It took time for servers to refill food trays, considering there are not too manny people when we dine.
Food was rather bland namely the lengua and the fish dish (can’t recall the name). There was no wasabi. When we asked the staff behind the counter he said they had no stock. After talking to someone who I guess was a manager (definitely not a waiter because he wasn’t wearing a waiter uniform. Bald guy wasn’t able to get his name) he said there was but still took him 10-15 minutes just to get wasabi. Salad bar was quite dull. Salad dressing wasn’t labled. Even the staff didn’t know what it was. They had to smell it just to know what it was and it was quite disgusting having to see someone smell the dressing. The salad dressing texture was somewhat watered down. Too runny. Asked the staff at the carving section for medium well but instead they gave us well done. Also gravy was bland. Lamb also was very bland. Food seems to be fewer as compared to Aura branch. All in all I had a better experience in your Aura branch compared to your branch here in Podium. Although the last time I was in your Aura branch was a long time ago. 2 years ago.
Great staff. Needs improvement on quality of food. Ty!
This is my second time at the newly opened NIU in Podium, it was even my birthday and I was with my whole family. First off, I haven't learned my lesson, the couch near the windows are your number one bet (I sat there the first time too)-- it was HOT. It might be the lack of shade from the windows or whatever, but the atmosphere isn't really conducive as tiny sweats will really break off. It's cooler in the middle seat sections. Second, I went in on a Saturday this time, my first time was a weekday lunch- and it was fully jampacked, so the refills aren't great and fast, I thought probably because they are full. But the Saturday on my birthday wasn't that filled up-- but the refills came in greatly poor as well. You even have to ask them a couple or more times for it. Service from the waitstaff are okay (even if I overheard them complain to each other, thats fine everyone does that but I hope they make sure no customers are nearby) BUT service from the people behind the beverage bar, Chinese section and the grilling section are by far the worst! First, the beverage guy who makes the shakes seems tired and he makes sure we know it lol. It's okay if there's "fruit of the day" etc, but I asked nicely if I can have watermelon shake since I had that before and looking around, there seems to be plenty of watermelons around so I guess it can be possible right? After all, I am already "requesting" since my company of 2 seniors, 1 pregnant, 1 7yo and 1 2yo all wants watermelon shake... and so he insisted--in a not so nice way to let me get a watermelon juice instead coz thats what they have-- all of the convo happened without him looking me in the eye and even throwing tantrums insisting on pineapple and banana shake! This was witnessed by Arjay (?) who gladly stepped in and offered to make the shakes for us. See? It's possible right? I dont even want to start on the grilling and chinese area where all your requests have an indifinite NO immediately. Service really needs to be improved. I haven't had this experience in NIU SM Aura for the past years I was eating there, heck this is even my first time to write a feedback in a Resto! I was that dissapointed. I am booked again next week, it was an advance booking and advance commitment I made for my friends so there's no backing out there-- but if this bad service still persists, it could probably be my last.
Very good service! Kudos to our table server and attendant, Jov. The only thing I think asan opportunity is the Pao that has hair, which was urgently addressed by their service manager. Over-all, we had a great time and looking forward for our next visit to enjoy something new and our favorites.
we'll come back to this place again.
definitely a level up on my buffet experience.classy interiors makes it feel like i am dining in a hotel at a more affordable price.
Value for Money is Excellent!
We had an amazing time celebrating the birthday of my husband Joey, everything was great - the food, the drinks, the ambience and most especially the SERVICE provided by your Crew, they are all great and always ready to serve with always a smile on their face, Thank you for going the extra mile!
Rude waiter named Roid came up out of nowhere and asked, Dito ba nakaupo yung sexy? Yung naka blue? Basta yung sexy He was referring to my friend who was a little bit on the heavy side. Very irritatingly rude and discriminatory. He thought he was funny but he’s just being plain BASTOS. I told him blank face, Di ka nakakatawa, wag kang magsalita ng ganyan... For a restaurant that is only 400peso cheaper than HEAT, I expected better trained staff. Even the manager was below par.
They forgot to give us our table's birthday cakes while they did the cake parade. We had our video cameras on but no cake arrived on our table.
Quality of food and services are on par with NIU SM Aura. Really thankful there's finally a branch that caters to clients on the northern side of Metro Manila.
Good Ambiance and Delicious dishes. <3
The service was excellent! I think the only thing that I don't like is the small selection of food, compare to Vikings in Moa.
They ran out of Foie Gras Ravioli at 8pm ;(
Great quality buffet spread, awesome drinks selection and nice and friendly staff
We really enjoyed our experience. We came on a birthday, so we feel the quality was excellent. We were seated at a two-person table by the window, which I felt was a little too close to the table beside us. I definitely appreciated the quality of the meats and we noticed the effort that was put into keeping things clean....very nice.
Ambiance, food and service are great.. Will comeback and recommend NIU to my friends..
Good food and good venue. We booked 60+ seats for an event. Pre-event service went well. However, during the event itself, service was a bit unreliable, some things we requested did not arrive or was sent to other tables. We often had to repeat our requests since the servers forgot (maybe due to the amount of people in the reserved area). Also, the projector we borrowed kept turning off, the socket was a bit loose - we also told the staff about it. We understand NIU Podium is still on soft opening so there's still room for improvement. Would still recommend.
