Our stunning location along the Pohutukawa Coast provides a bounty of the freshest ingredients for a delectable meal, naturally.
Honouring home-grown produce, our menus highlight native ingredients like horopito, kawa kawa, and karengo. And our dishes are prepared from raw ingredients treated respectfully, using a nose-to-tail and root-to-tip food philosophy.
The focus is always on flavour, but the presentation is just as savoury. Because we know it’s the extra touches that make a moment or a meal extra special.
That’s why at Nineteen Restaurant and Nineteen Bar, the menus are all about fresh, modern New Zealand cuisine. Everything’s refreshingly local, because it’s just in our nature.
no mint so no mojito cocktail? nice concise menu, entrees maybe a few more options, as in sons were looking for salt and pepper squid, is quite often a got option for the young ones. a pedestrian walk way from car park to entrance? instead of having to walk around the sides like i was a car? otherwise an excellent evening thank you will come again. I am old school and would have liked the option to call on the phone, I found impossible to find, ironically i see one on this email.
Great refurbishment, enjoyed the meal
Great service from start to finish. Very nice building with great views over the golf course and city. Will book again.
Very cold in the restaurant, we all needed to wear our coats. Meal sizes were small apart from the fish option. No one goes through the menu with the staff as they weren't familiar with some of the ingredients. The restaurant Manager needs to step up and train his staff. Waitresses were not attentive, took a while for plates to be cleared and dessert menu to be offered. Waited 45 minutes for our meal, not acceptable when there were only 4 other people in the restaurant. I expect more from a hotel chain but I have had issues with other Rydges Hotels so maybe it's the culture that needs to be looked at.
