Main menu very good, a little disappointed with the sweet options, needs to be more variety.
Nice evening but we were seated next to a large group of noisy golfers which made conversation difficult
Had lunch around 1pm which was good and then we had booked dinner for the evening at 7.30pm. Ordered at 7.45pm to be told 30 minutes later that there was a delay which OK was fine at that time. We were then told 10 mins later it would be over an hour and food finally arrived at 9pm. Albeit the staff kept us informed and offered a 30% discount on our main meal only. The place was fairly empty so not sure why it should take 1.1/4 hours for chicken & chips! Relaxed atmosphere but very disappointing indeed.
A very enjoyable evening
Have eaten at 19 a couple of times before, no change in menu since February so usual items on menu, burgers, chicken etc nothing too exciting but food has always been satisfactory. This time when we arrived we were informed that the kitchen was busy so order quickly. We ordered our starters straight away and ordered our main courses when the starters arrived. The waiting staff were very patient and kept apologising for the delay in our main courses offering us nuts and olives to keep us going. Our table reservation was for 20.15 so having our main course arrive at approx. 22.15 this was not acceptable. We were offered a complimentary bottle of wine and the assistant manager did come to speak to us. We were offered a discount from the bill but as we were booked on a spa package we had already paid for our food. The following day on check out we were met by Ursula Offord who was very apologetic and very professional. She arranged for us to have some money back and ensured that she would oversee our next booking. As we really enjoy our spa breaks at Foxhills we have rebooked for October this year and our booking has been handled by Ursula. We shall wait and see what happens this time
Lovely relaxed dinner overlooking the golf course! Good choice of dishes
the meal was okay but was expecting higher standards
Great Location, very good food, friendly staff
Fantastic, really didn’t expect such a fantastic relaxed environment mixed with prompt professional service and amazing food...
Fantastic food and very nice staff
Good varied menu for all tastes. Especially good choices for veggie eaters or those wanting a filling burger. Definitely planning to come again.
We had a team dinner after reservation, and we all were very satisfied. The staffs were friendly and kind, the drinks were good.
Food was nice miles better the the 'dining rooms' Service could be more on the ball seemed alot of staff but no one really that quick at customer service ..... at one point we weren't sure if it was a order at the bar restaurant
Excellent bar and great food! Would highly recommend
Very disappointed with this restaurant. It was billed as the children friendly dinner option for Foxhills when we booked (having been turned away from the main restaurant when we tried to book that a week before)but was anything but. There was no children's menu and the food took an age to come and, when it did, it was underwhelming. They were understaffed and the poor waiting staff were unable to cope with demand. Then, the (male) toilet was disgusting.
I was a bit disappointed - having been to nineteen in the past and as a previous member at the club I felt the service levels had really declined. On arrival I was told the table I had booked wasn't available and waited 25 minutes to be seated for food. There were other tables that appeared free but I was told none was available. The service was slow and clumsy- the staff seemed stressed and unattentive- and my poached eggs were very overcooked and so not very enjoyable. It took a long time to be able to pay the bill too. It was such a shame as in the past I have enjoyed visiting but I'm not sure about returning again.
I made a table reservation for 5 people and received a confirmation email. When I arrived with my family and friends at the XIX restaurant the table was not ready. It was very awkward and I felt embarrassed. I was offered to eat on low level sofa seats which were not appropriate. The staff then managed to move an outside table and chairs inside. I have recently become a member of Foxhills and my first experience at a confirmed dinning booking reservation did not inspire me. I was very disappointed.
Great Mexican evening last night high quality food and the staff did great to be mexican
Decent pub grub.
We had a lovely relaxed evening, excellent food. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Very well priced for the quality of food we ordered
Good and pleasant evening. Bar Nineteen has never let us down. Always meets and even exceeds expectations.
Bar 19 has a great menu covering all manner of tastes - in fact I had a trial trying to decide what to have as they all sounded delicious... I wasn't disappointed on my final choice of the Chef's Special! We were mainly served by Robert and I found him to be courteous and accommodating on all levels. He had a charming, warm and witty manner about him and took the time to ensure we were ok, periodically... I would highly and whole heartedly recommend Bar 19!
We were celebrating my daughter 9th birthday and we had a lovely evening.
