We had a lovely relaxed evening, excellent food. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Very well priced for the quality of food we ordered
Good and pleasant evening. Bar Nineteen has never let us down. Always meets and even exceeds expectations.
Bar 19 has a great menu covering all manner of tastes - in fact I had a trial trying to decide what to have as they all sounded delicious... I wasn't disappointed on my final choice of the Chef's Special! We were mainly served by Robert and I found him to be courteous and accommodating on all levels. He had a charming, warm and witty manner about him and took the time to ensure we were ok, periodically... I would highly and whole heartedly recommend Bar 19!
We were celebrating my daughter 9th birthday and we had a lovely evening.
It was a rowdy evening with loud customers on another table and children running around and causing a lot of trouble so not such a nice evening out or a good experience
Great food and Good value for money
Food was fine and service good. It was very busy and noisy on the evening we visited.
Very noisy with kids running around. They only have a small selection of wines and the one I ordered was not in stock. Staff can be a little tunnel vision, can be hard to attract their attention. Good food.
My 2nd time at 19. Food was delicious but sadly our soft drinks arrived and were "flat". Checked date on cans and they were out of date.....by nearly 6 months! Sorry but that is awful!
Me and my husband have booked a table at Valentine's Day together with a room for a night. The Restaurant was terrible, looking like a English pub. No atmosphere for Valentine's whatsoever. Overall the presentation of the place was awful, that's what made us not hungry. Anyway, both of us ordered steaks, no complains, chips were perfect. But for this hotel and this price the portion should be much bigger, steaks was a mini one 😂 Customer service, well it was more like a coffee shop service. I regret spending so much for a one night and not enjoying it.
Food was good value for money service great and a good atmosphere.
Very tasty food, good wine. Atmosphere friendly
We both ordered a burger that stated on the menu ‘with fries’. The waitress then asked what side we’d like... we said we didn’t realise it came with a side also and she said yes. Lovely, onion rings please! When the meals arrived, no fries. Asked for our fries and the waitress said we switched our fries for onion rings! Uh, no! When we asked her to take them back and get us the fries as stated on the menu, she returned and said the chef has said he won’t cook them unless we pay! Although this was clearly down to mis-communication, we thought that response was disgusting! We asked for the manager, who was very helpful and sorted it all out and eventually we received the meal that we had actually asked for. Unfortunately we had finished our wine by then! As the main restaurant was shut for our stay, breakfast was served in Nineteen... and what a disappointment that was. Probably the worst hotel breakfast we have ever experienced! For us, the vat of coffee on offer, was weak and tasteless. The scrambled eggs were dry and congealed, aneamic bacon, pot of hot mushrooms sitting in a large pool of oil! The bread for toast you had to get bread out of a bag, no tongs etc so not overly hygienic! The bread rolls were dry and stale! A real shame...
I booked a week in advance only to be disappointed on arrival all tables were full and our table wasn’t reserved, thank goodness a table was leaving so we only had to wait 10 minutes. It seems to be a problem as last week the table next to me had the same problem which resulted in the manager giving them a discount. As a member, very disappointed. Service was not great at all which it normally is, food was cold and had to ask for it to be heated up, sandwich was on incorrect bread...not the normal standard from the club. I do understand it was very busy but that is no excuse.
Food was very tasty and wide choice of dishes.
Lovely meal! Great atmosphere!
A very successful Christmas lunch for 10 in Bar X1X Very attentive and helpful staff and efficient without feeling rushed
Unfortunately on our visit the food was mediocre at best. The steak was incredibly fatty, the peppercorn sauce was watery although it did have some flavour and the vegetables were overcooked and over salted. The wine that we had chosen was unavailable and even though it was an evening booking, sports were still being shown on huge television set right near where we were sitting, which killed the ambience. We would certainly not go back there.
Stuff is excellent !
Service was really bad. We waited 20 minutes to be served. We kept being avoided. Then it took 45 minutes for the food to come out. Other people had been served and recieved food before we even got ours. Rude staff members. When we asked how long the food would ve we was told it was because she (member of our party) had ordered her steak well done. This was for a 30th birthday and it did put a downer on the evening.
Excellent staff and terrific food.
