About New Yard Restaurant
Hidden restaurant in the grounds of the historic Trelowarren Estate on the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall.
We want to take the way a restaurant runs itself back to times where the produce available in the local area determined the menu that was offered. Our food champions local producers which we believe to be the best in the country and will continue to support our local producers.
Excellent food and good friendly service
Lovely experience, excellent front of house, interesting menu with surprises.
Fantastic meal and service as always!
Lunch set menu - amazing food, wine, service.
excellent food, lovely relaxed service in a stunning location - well worth seeking out! Our clients were delighted - Pete, The Elite Duchy Touring Co.
Stunning location, brilliant service by well trained individuals, impressive kitchen setup, very clearly run and not put off by use watching. Food was incredibly well balanced showcasing a great understand of flavours and textures throughout all of the courses. Price is very reasonable for the quality of food. Will definitely come again if we can fit it into our holiday.
Great food, great place. We had a lovely evening and will definitely come again.
The ambience was very relaxing with the addaded bonus of the galleries and being able to walk the grounds
A wonderful culinary experience. Fantastic tastes, great front of house and friendly atmosphere.
Lovely place with great food. We had a tasting menu and could not fault it. Fresh ingredients and imaginative cooking. Service was excellent too. Would highly recommend it and hope to come back next time we are in Cornwall.
The flavours were wonderful and the meal was beautifully presented. The wine list was good value and service was very friendly and efficient
The food and service was outstanding
Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, wir haben sehr gut gegessen, besonders zu empfehlen das Carpaccio vom Seeteufel, danke für den freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service
Great food and service , yet again
We were all delighted with our meals and the service was excellent!
Fantastic evening. The gin martini was very special, we loved how the flowers were picked from the garden just before serving. Food was exquisite and service very warm and professional. It did take about 35 mins for our drink order to be taken but I understand that this was due to a member of staff down and didn't impact on our evening. It gave us time to sink into the environment. Loved it. If we lived closer we would be regulars.
Great food and service, strongly recommend you give NYR a visit if you enjoy good food at sensible prices. Unhurried atmosphere and attentive service alongside great food what more could you need
Excellent. We make a point of visiting the New Yard Restaurant each time we visit the Lizard.
The menu can sometimes be a little limited, but we LOVE your food and it challenges us to try other things. Would prefer to have two courses and skip pudding, maybe offer an alternative? We would prefer another savoury amuse bouche
A wonderful lunch. Exceeded our expectations. The staff were attentive, efficient and contributed significantly to the whole experience. When will you be producing the excellent vermouth to buy?
It was wonderful, really delicious food with lovely staff.
What an inspirational experience of delicious, clever, locally sourced, seasonal food that was exciting, intriguing and served by the most delightful management and staff in a welcoming setting that made clever and stylish use of a big space in impressive surroundings. Wow I wish we lived near enough to dine here more often!!
Another quiet and relaxed evening
Excellent food and service - will go back again as soon as possible
Really enjoyed the food and the service. The only thing missing was a few extra veggies in the main course but this is a real nitpick. Friendly service and high quality food. What not to like?
