About Newbridge on Usk
Occupying an idyllic location on the banks of the River Usk, this charming 200-year-old country inn is a secret hideaway, just a few miles upriver from the Resort itself.
Reflecting the setting, the delicious seasonal menu of wholesome country fare is lovingly cooked using fresh, local, and homegrown produce.
Guests also have the opportunity to fish for salmon, brown trout and sea trout on the nearby River Usk. Synonymous with some of the best salmon and brown trout fishing outside of Scotland, our experienced Ghillie is able to guide you in the skills required to fish this dramatic tidal river.
The season runs every year from March to October, call 01633 410262 for details.
Relaxed setting with courteous staff and wonderful food. A real treat.
Another Excellent meal and service
Fantastic food and great service
Our waiter (a young, slim, dark eyed man) was superb: friendly, helpful and was particularly sympathetic to a woman in the next table suffering with menopause symptoms. I work in this area and it is often treated as taboo or a joke, so I was delighted and very impressed. Food 10/10. Will return soon
Following my recent visit to your restaurant I would like to express how impressed I was with the food and the service. Nothing was too much for your front of house staff, who catered to our every need. Amedeo (hope I have his name right) in particular was extremely attentive, explaining to us how your produce is locally sourced and suggested his recommendations to us which was greatly appreciated. We can’t wait to visit again in the future.
Really enjoyed everything about our stay at Newbridge on Usk. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. We will no doubt return in the near future
Lovely food and location. Cariad and Dan were amazing. Thank you!
A lovely setting with excellent food and service
I love the Newbridge, the setting and the decor. The food is fab and the serving staff were really great, friendly and yet not intrusive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The only sad thing was that it was extremely quiet as it was lunch time!
Quite average meal will very expensive and unexpected service charge.
Lovely food, lovely atmosphere inside and out and lovely staff!
Attentive and polite staff. Fabulous views and comfortable seating. Limited menu but excellent and tasty.
Always have a lovely time and amazing food!
Can't praise this place up enough, food and service first class as always. Will definitely return
good food and service - highly recommended
We spent a pleasurable afternoon in gorgeous surroundings; the food was excellent and the service did not disappoint. My only grumble was that I ordered a drink only to find that after a long wait, it could not be made up. We had to ask this for ourselves rather than be told.
Very nice evening, however was slightly dampened by confusion with the bill. I had booked in as part of a deal with Celtic manor on the understanding that the only extra cost for me would be drinks (or any extras (likes side dishes)), so i was very surprised to see a £38 bill at the end of the evening when i had only had one drink and i was even more surprised when a second bill was charged to my room even though i had already paid!
The young man who was on reception when we arrived and served our meal later was an outstanding member of staff and a credit to Celtic manor.
Thank you for making our 3rd Wedding Anniversary so special. As always, the food was incredible, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service we received was second to none. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were so attentive.
A very pleasant afternoon. The food and service were excellent
On a whole, a little disappointed. The shallot and mustard sauce tasted burnt and the rest of the meal was not as good as we would expect it to be, as it was a special occasion for my boyfriends birthday, we were disappointed.
Food wasnt hot was juat about warm. Cant believe that water is charged at nearly £4 even at celtic u dont pay cor a jug of water
We always enjoy our evenings at the NOU. I was running a little late by only 5-10mins. I rang to explain but obvioisly go through the main resort phone lines. This was very dissapointing. I waited over 15 minutes for an answer. This obviously left my wife tense and stressed on after her insistence on me ringing. The food arrived and it was the incorrect fish, the food went back and was very quickly rectified. However we enjoyed the wait and enjoyed the atmosphere, as it was very relaxing. We viewed this as a genuine mistake and did enjoy our evening in the end.
Really good meal in a great setting alongside the river
