About Needle & Thread
Small Speakeasy Bar within Tavern Law with Full Food Menu and Bespoke Cocktails
It was awesome. Will definitely go again at a little later dining time so we can enjoy the tavern law before we sneak thru the vault
Bartender was incredible and the drinks were fantastic!!
Very fun time, great drinks
Our holiday gathering with colleagues was simply fabulous. Superb cocktails, wonderful food and thoughtful service. Everyone is still talking about it!! We will be back.
We were a party of 7. We were given an area at the entrance(just as you come up the stairs), where we felt like we were sitting in the lobby of a restaurant waiting to be given a table. I personally didn’t like that. Service was slow and we felt like we were neglected because we were outside the whole bar area which was one level up. Also we were served just 2 drinks in a 2 hr reservation. I expected a lot more for $18 a drink.
Was welcomed in on time. Waited 15 mins to order and was 25 minutes in to 60 min res by the time drinks arrived. Drinks were fine but not nearly as good as they have been in past. 15 mins after drinks arrived was told “10 minute warning” which we asked for, but we still had 20 minutes left so didn’t appreciate the 10 min warning coming 10 mins early. Hurriedly finished drinks and left. Not a bad experience per se but also not a great experience.
We never ended up getting our drinks explained to us, which isn't the worst thing, but was still curious what was in them. Other than that, it was a beautiful space and fantastic cocktails and appetizers. Will be back for sure!
I was visiting from out of town and asked the bartender From the Westin what are some hot spots to check out. He told me about Needle and Thread and said it was awesome. My friends got married on the street and wanted to go someplace cool after and I am so happy we chose your establishment. It was beautiful and really fun.
Fantastic and sexy as always!!
Fun place, they made great drinks according to our personal preferences. Food was also good.
Such a fun environment, although a little pricey
This is the 5th time I have been here and I have always loved the unique personal nature of this place. We took my daughter and her friend here for a post 21 celebration. I found myself starting sentences constantly with "Yeah usually its not this way". Our female bartender barely asked any questions and produced some really terrible drinks (think simple syrup and absinthe) then it took us 45 minutes to get her attention because she was too busy talking to the other bartenders behind the bar. When she came back I pointed at my daughter's drink and said, "Her friend would just like one of those. Exactly.". She brought back some weird fruity drink that was not at all like what we ordered. Now we had been here almost 2 hours and 2 rounds of bad drinks. So disappointing. We won't be back. It has really gone downhill.
Drinks are a little pricey, so I don't do here often. But great for special occasions and out of towners. The bartenders are the best in Seattle and the drinks are phenomenal.
Music was too loud. Not there to listen to music Wanted to enjoy my company without talking loud.
Awesome experience at Needle & Thread. We made a reservation in advance and were let straight up with no wait and had waters, menus, and an offer to take our coats almost immediately after sitting. The atmosphere is amazing, as are the drinks and the service. It's definitely pricey for a cocktail, but well worth it for the occasional treat in my opinion. I have never had a cocktail at N&T that I have not loved; their bartenders are fantastic and might even change your mind on spirits you have previously avoided if you give them a chance. I will definitely be coming back.
Very unique place. I think it’s my favorite bar I’ve tried in Seattle because of its intimate space and opportunity to have some fun with drinks. I was very happy with my drinks and my boyfriend was happy with one and didn’t like the other. That’s the only risk; paying a high cost for something random! That is what makes it fun and it’s good to have an open mind as to not feel disappointed. I will absolutely be back!
Fantastic! Can't wait for my next adventure at Needle & Thread!
Delicious cocktails and charcuterie!
This place is a must if you're in Seattle !! I was seriously giddy walking in and picking up the old phone to have access into the secret space ! Honestly it's such an experience and my whole group was obsessed! Drinks are pricey but it's definitely more of an 'enjoy the atmosphere' kind of time, rather than pounding drinks back and getting smashed. My friends and I each had 2 amazing drinks and happily left with all of the memories ! The guys working there were super friendly and funny and know how to make a mean cocktail! Highly recommend!
This is the second year in a row I've been for my birthday and both times the service has been incredibly rude. Most of my party arrived and there were two just a couple minutes behind us and when they called to come up and gave the name for the reservation, they were denied entrance and said that reservation didn't exist even though they knew two more people were coming. This also happened last year as well and is just totally unacceptable. Honestly, I will not be returning because of this. The appeal of Needle and Thread is the exceptional drinks, atmosphere, and the exclusivity. But they take the exclusively part to an extreme and act as though no one is good enough to drink there when in reality at lot of other places do the same thing they do and they would be wise to be a little better on the customer service end. As a patron who has been many times, I'm over it at this point.
Food prep and presentation were second to none. Service was great would suggest visitng table on the lower section a bit more often when busy.
Overall very cool experience but very expensive
