About Nardinis of Largs
Scotland's most famous cafe, restaurant & ice cream parlour re-opened in December of 2008 following a multi million pound refurbishment that has seen the landmark art deco building restored to its past glory with a new contemporary feel. Originally open in 1935, Nardini's is synonymous with a trip "doon the water" making it a must if you are visiting Largs.
The Classic Nardini Cafe with it's beautiful surroundings and panoramic views of the Clyde which all make it an experience not to be missed.
From the freshly fried to order fish and chips, made to Director Sep Marini's award winning standard, beautiful Italian pastries or continental sandwiches, to our fabulous Ice cream sundaes you'll soon realise that absolute quality is our goal at all times. Together with the first class service and the delights of the weekend piano players you'll soon see why people are calling the 200 seat Nardini's Cafe the place to see and the place to be seen!
Always enjoy Nardinis and we had another nice meal on Saturday lunchtime. A few things weren’t right however. The tea didn’t taste very good and we had to ask for it as it was forgotten. One order for breaded haddock came battered but was replaced without any problem. The bill had a 10% discount but VAT was charged at 20% which is wrong. I wasn’t sure of the calculation at the time so paid it but it’s overcharged by about £5. Shame really as we did enjoy our meal.
Service as always was amazing. It was my wife's first meal out since shielding and they made her feel very comfortable. Only sitting one reservation at a time so no one is near when you are being shown to your table, hand sanitiser at entrance for use when going in, perspex partition between the booths and asked to wear face masks when entering and leaving the building made it fell as safe as it could be. Management and servers have everything under control it feels like nothing has phased them.
Excellent service, great value for money, fantastic food. Well worth the visit!
Very good indeed. Excellent portions of food and delicious. Ice cream sundaes were excellent as well.
During these daunting times we felt so comfortable in the restaurant all safety standards more than adhered to staff were lovely & food was great all enjoyed
Excellent service as always
Delicious food and friendly staff, can't fault it.
We meet up with friends approximately every couple of months and were supposed to go to wetherspoons but their staff were very short and not accommodating. We booked last minute for Nardini's, this turned out to be our best decision and will now use this as our meal base for further meets. Thank you for such a relaxing time in the current environment, we felt very at ease even with the children and the food was amazing. The only one point we would make was that one of our kids meals was to be without beans, beans were on the plate and when we pointed this out, the boy went and scraped them off the plate instead of renewing which meant the food still had sauce on ... when pointed out that he can't have that it was then advised 7 mins for exchange. We would rather wait than have our son with a tantrum
Impressive response to current covid concerns. Good approach re hand sanitiser and toilet cleaning regime... Fosters confidence. Lovely food as usual and booking system a huge plus.
Very impressive and the food was excellent. Service was great and felt safe with tables far apart from one another. All staff were very helpful. Would definitely come back again.
Excellent food and service, from Stephen and Co. Restaurant well organised re covid regulations. Will definitely be back.
The reduced capacity made a surprisingly pleasant change from the usual crowded space. The service was as ever excellent. My only criticism was my Panini was rock hard, I would not let that pass again.
Food was great and the service was the same. Enjoyed our time there.
There was no easy access for prams or wheelchairs due to the one way system which made it dangerous to get in and I noticed some customers in wheelchairs quickly turned away when the realised this too. We were shown to a really dark table right next to the kitchen which was not atmospheric, especially for my family who had come up from England. My icecream order was wrongly made up and to rectify it they just shoved the missing element on top which showed lack of care. I wasn't able to have a sandwich after our ice cream as they said they needed the table back. We had been there just 1hr and there were tables of people allowed to come and sit next to us which did not allow for 2m distance. We will not return. Very disappointing experience.
Booked a last minute lunch here and felt like everything was managed very well. Lots of hand sanitiser, clear routes to toilets and tables spaced out. Lovely food and very pleasant staff. Thoroughly enjoyed and nice to get out for a family lunch. Thanks.
Lovely Art Deco experience, friendly staff and great Service. If worried about Covid , super clean, good table distancing and everyone asked to use hand sanitiser before Entering.
Lovely upmarket cafe. Excellent sandwich selection and super fish and chips.
First time I’ve had lunch at Nardini’s and it certainly won’t be my last . Lovely experience
I found it very easy to book online. The food was very good as it usually is.
Great way to emerge from lockdown. The staff, food and surroundings were perfect. Thank you.
Never disappointed when we visit Nardinis. The ice cream sundaes were delicious.
One of Scotland's top attractions still, despite the virus. Nardini's have adapted very well to social distancing etc and put customer and staff welfare first.
Nardinis has managed to retain the quality of service and food that it has been renowned for for over 200 years.
We received excellent service and a great fish and chips - thanks
