Located in The Arches on Brighton seafront overlooking the West Pier, Murmur is a casual, all day dining restaurant by Great British Menu 2017 winner Michael Bremner.
Sister restaurant to the award-winning 64 Degrees, Murmur was opened by Michael to offer a different dining concept, serving healthy and honest food for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a stunning beachside location.
The restaurant is named Murmur from the word murmuration which is the shape that the starlings make when they flock and fly between the two piers here on the coast, with the logo representing the six arches in which the restaurant is located.
Murmur has 37 covers inside and a further 40 covers on the terrace overlooking the beach, is children friendly throughout the day and dogs are welcome on the terrace.
We all enjoyed our food and the staff were great with our children
Lovely service with very tasty fresh Food. A really lovely birthday celebration with friends and will definitely be back.
Everything was amazing!
Delicious food and great service
Wonderful venue for my sister's 50th birthday party. Helpful staff, great food and superb venue.
Had a fantastic time last night, really well looked after - will definitely be back!
Delicious fish, great drinks and friendly, attentive service.
Great summer lunch spot with high quality cooking and friendly, well timed service.
Love 64 Degrees. Love this just as much but for a different experience.
First time at Murmur and cannot WAIT to return. Loved it. The whole group did. Thank you!0
Our booking was for a pop up Greek themed evening. The experience was beautifully planned and executed. The menu was complimented with 6 well chosen wines by Joe Wadams whom was our host for the night. He was friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, charismatic and funny. Most of all he was very passionate about Greek wines and Greece, which added to the fantastic experience and evening.
Busy noisy good food.
It might be helpful to offer a discount for diners who would be happy with, say, three rather than six wines to accompany the set courses on the special evenings. The food and service at the recent 'Greek night' were superb - some really inventive and delicious food which the staff were happy to explain an discuss, making for an outstanding foodie evening.
Our most recent visit was on greek Night - an incredible evening; great value for money; excellent food and wines; perfect setting :) Loved it!
Great food, drink and atmosphere as always
Lovely lunch with my friends. The food and service are excellent!
Greek night was very enjoyable. The only criticism I would have is that the ventilation in the restaurant is not great and the smells of the kitchen gets into your clothes. Other than that, everything was fab. Well done 👍
Food was tasty but a bit pricey! Loved being on the seafront with the amazing views though.
It felt a bit chaotic on Sunday with no opportunity to sit outside and very noisy inside, also very slow service. It seemed very expensive for what everyone had. I do enjoy the restaurant and have found quiet lunches perfect but when you are busy it’s not so positive I’m afraid. Sorry. But I must be honest.
We were a group of friends who had travelled from Edinburgh to have lunch in Brighton. The location of Murmur was perfect - right by the tower and on the beach. We were given an outside table, and the food, wine and service were all fantastic. Thank you!
Really enjoyed the food.
Incredible food, lovely setting!
the whole fish (brill, plaice, etc) are always cooked to perfection and come with perfectly judged vegetables. It's always a pleasure to eat at Mumur.
