About Mud Dock Cycleworks and Café
Mud Dock Café
Whether you come to Mud Dock Café for morning coffee, a leisurely lunch, afternoon tapas or a romantic dinner, we promise a relaxed atmosphere, unrivalled views of Bristol’s harbourside, and – of course – fabulous food and drink.
This was our first time at Mud Dock and we went for Brunch. The staff were very polite and helpful and welcomed us as soon as we entered the café. The food was lovely with generous portions, my only niggle is that it could have been a bit hotter. We will definitely be making a return visit.
Had a lovely meal here. The venue and food were excellent, the staff were super friendly and gave great service. There's a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and views are great. The only thing I would say is that the restaurant is a little cold, but other than that, it was great, I will definitely go back.
Really helpful waitress, especially good humoured with the children in our party.
Great service, great food and amazing value with First Table
Excellent value for money. Delicious Halloumi burger. Warm and inviting evening atmosphere.
Lovely family Christmas meal! Food was great and reasonable!
Had our team's Christmas social there and the place was well received by all - only I had been to Mud Dock before. Everyone found something to eat and drink and we enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. We'll happily come again!
Could have been a bit warmer at table. Thanks
Booked for 10am for a birthday breakfast for me and my aunt. The staff turned up at 10 so we had to wait in the bike shop while they opened up. Because my aunt is disabled by the time we got up the stairs 3 couple had got in before us. It was 10.45 before we got the food which was wolfed down as my husband had to go to work. So we were out by 11. My son Nutella pancakes had a ridiculous amount of Nutella on which he scraped a lot off. Avocado on toast was nice but small portions. It felt like they weren’t prepared for us
Really lovely staff and we loved the fairy lights
We had a great time, the only issue was not having our booking registered, but they were accommodating and managed to fit us in luckily.
As usual the food was really great and and the general atmosphere very nice and relaxing. Marked down a bit on this occasion because, as we were sitting at the opposite end of the room to the bar next to the window. Later in the evening it really got quite cold (this was November). The blankets were a thoughtful touch and really helped but a bit more heat would have been appreciated.
Really attentive service on a busy Saturday night. I had the risotto from the specials board and it was delicious. My friends also loved their meals. 4 very happy customers.
Decent food, nice atmosphere
Food was a taste sensation. I had the Mackrell and couscous and my wife the tomatoe soup, both of us were blown away by the flavours. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and we loved the so much we came back for breakfast the next day, which was equally as tasty, although if there is one niggle the pancakes were cold... But the flavour was still there to compensate. Will definately be back when in Bristol next.
Visit started well. I had a pram and there isn't a lift but a very friendly man (who I believe was connected to the cafe) and a waitor carried the pram up the stairs for me. Our booking was on a Friday morning so it wasn't exactly packed. Our drinks order was taken quickly but they didn't arrive for some time. It then took ages for our food order to be taken. My food (shakshuka) was tasty and a good size but my friend's egg on toast was slightly measly with just one small slice of sourdough. After a long wait, it was a bit disappointing. It was difficult getting the waiter's attention to request the bill and then I ended up going to the counter to pay as it was taking so long for someone to bring a card machine over. All in all, food was mixed but service was seriously lacking. It wasn't busy and so this was a shame.
Lovely meal for a leisurely lunch- friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere
We were very impressed by the attentive service we were given by the staff. The food looked and tasted fantastic x
Lovely staff, good food at a good price.
Loved the café and food. Would like some slightly more comfortable chairs though!
Had a really lovely and relaxing evening, good food, in a restaurant with great character.
Another great meal, served by fab staff in a great venue. Thank you for looking after us and our dog so well. Ps the sea bass was amazing.
Although the food tasted amazing I felt it was quite expensive. Drinks order - one drink was missing and one drink came out wrong - so 2 out of 6 drinks were wrong and I believe there was no apology for this Food - one food order was incorrect and the waitress stated that what was given was what had been ordered. Don’t really feel that’s the sort of attitude staff should have.
My sister accidentally spilled very hot tea on her young daughter (my niece) and several of the staff were very quick to help, offering us some soothing ointment and generally being very kind.
Good food and very kind staff. Very recommended
