About Mottram Hall - Claret Jug
Its warm, informal atmosphere is perfect for relaxing, whether a golfer or not. On offer all day long, are a range of light bites, hearty classics and must-try local dishes. Come the evening, it transforms into a first-class bistro with a menu and wine list to match.
Terrible service. Very slow service! Over an hours wait for a pizza!!! Ignorant staff who couldn’t care less. Dirty tables. The waiter spilt a drink down my husband and barely said sorry. Absolutely shocking.
Had a lovely meal here was adivised when we got there that they had a large booking in and there would be a longer wait on food which was okay with us but we wasn’t waiting any longer than you would normally expect for food. Staff were fantastic would defiantly recommend having a meal here if you want something a bit less formal but still good quality food.
Lovely setting, great food and excellent service. Would definitely return.
Very cold in the dining area but cosy in the lounge
Great food and service
The food was excellent served by smart young friendly staff. Restaraunt was very clean and comfortable.
Lovely setting and service great, very welcoming. Food lovely, only thing was the pizza didn’t seem like homemade dough which would leave me to think it was quite expensive but saying that our son loved it so that’s all that matters! Would come again.
When arrived, told we didn’t have a reservation for 11am at the Claret Jug when we did. Both agreed that bread was either slightly stale or too hard on our sandwiches. Had to go up twice to ask for drinks.
Food was very tasty, well presented. Staff were very chatty and friendly. We sat where the fire was so t was cosy and warm, very comfortable and nice having people around.
We didn’t actually stay to eat. They weren’t ready for us, no table was set, the seats and table were dirty, there was an awful atmosphere of men sat around drinking and chatting very loudly, not what we expected at all. Very disappointed. Decided to leave and find somewhere else to eat.
