About Morningside Tavern
A tavern in Morningside Auckland inspired by the founder of the area, Allan Kerr Taylor and his wife Sophia Kerr Taylor
Great place for a casual gathering.
Had a lovely evening celebrating my birthday and the booking of 30 people seamed not a problem.
We had our engagement party and it was stress free from beginning to the end. Really good atmosphere and the team went out of their way for us. Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back!
My fav place to go - love the food + atmosphere! Great service too
Lovely day & our group really enjoyed the hospitality especially given we were hosting a mate over from London in need of a break from his role in Brexit :)
Hi team pretty disappointed, service - we felt like we were a nuisance, the Greek salad and chicken schnitzel is not value for money, literally half a cucumber a few cherry tomatoes some olives and 2 pieces of deep fried chicken for $25.50- decided to get chips but didn’t realise they were $13.50 a bowl which is expensive. I don’t mind smokers but eating outside and punters smoking around kids and pregnant people needs to be looked at. Probably won’t be back. Could be awesome but too many fails for us!
We enjoyed the 50th birthday celebration even though hardly anyone else was in the room due to it being Easter Sunday. Our guests were impressed with the décor and quality of the building and the range of craft beers. Because the place was nearly empty the ambience was strange but we had a good time anyway and enjoyed all the food.
Great venue for a relaxed afternoon catch up with friends.
The lights were dimmed when we were trying to order so could hardly see the menu. Then when our food came out they got dimmed even more to the point that it was lighter outside and we could hardly see each other let alone the food.
