About Morito Hackney
Moro and Morito chef proprietors, Sam & Sam Clark, opened their third restaurant, located at 195 Hackney Road, in 2016.
Morito Hackney Road draws influences from Southern Spain, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean including the island of Crete, where Head Chef Marianna Leivaditaki grew up and worked in her family’s fish restaurant. Samantha and Marianna have worked hard sourcing exceptional produce, some of which is not yet available in London.
Morito has a concise offering of wines from the Mediterranean - primarily mainland Spain and Portugal - with a couple of lesser known wines from the Canary Islands. There is a selection of sparkling, white, red, pink, and orange wines, with many available by the glass. For those looking to venture past these, there is also a list of Sherry and Vermouth.

Surprised to find it was Vegan-only on a Monday. But what a surprise! :-)
Wonderful place to go when you heading to the flower market on Columbia Road. Or it's a destination in and of itself. Can't recommend this place enough.
Every single dish is delicious. My third time in 2 weeks now...
Great food and service
Delicious food, great cocktails, lovely staff!
Delicious food, very quick service and GREAT staff. Everyone was giving and excellent service and the food was just amazing. Will definitely go again!
Great food, can't wait to eat inside!
Wonderful experience as always. Gorgeous staff, incredible food.
Food was excellent, new favourite
So glad you're back! Wonderful food, wonderful service, it was an absolute joy.
Bittersweet experience. Was really excited to eat here, however, pretty much from the moment we sat down we felt as if our table was being starred at by staff. We came with my cousin who is black and it seemed like, despite the restaurant being located in a predominantly black area, they’d never seen a black man actually sit down to eat here. When my cousin asked for a coca-cola the waitress seemed confused as to why anyone would order anything other than natural wine. During the meal we caught the manager and chef starring at us a couple of times. The waitress cleared up everyone’s plates while my cousin was still eating and, lastly, there was big black hair in our pudding. Food was very good and it’s a nice location. Unsure if I would come back purely because of stuck up staff who seem to only cater for white people in black neighbourhoods
Had such a great time! The service was so good- staff friendly and helpful. Food delicious! Cannot fault it!😃
Great place to share plates of delicious food with friends and family
Morito never disappoints.
Delicious food! Outdoor dining is not ideal given the location on the main road, but they’re working with what they can and the food makes up for the lack of atmosphere outside.
So happy for Morito to be my first post lockdown dinner. Food and service as brilliant as ever.
Wonderful lunch, will definitely be back!
Definitely the best tapas I've had in London, with loads of veg options and great value. Lovely laid-back service. Only suggestion is providing blankets outside - understand heaters night not be an option. Thanks!
So lovely to be back!
All of the food was delicious, so much so that we ended up ordering second portions of some plates, and the cocktails were a great re-interpretation of classics. Service was friendly, polite and quick with very strong recommendations. We will be recommending to our friends and definitely coming back when we can dine inside!
Thank you for an incredibly delicious sunny late lunch with wonderful service xxx
Excellent as always and how we missed it!
The deep fried aubergine is amazing.
