About Monty’s Brasserie
Monty's Brasserie is the perfect retreat day or night. It is modern, vibrant and lively, offering stunning contemporary cuisine, with an emphasis on seafood.
Monty's has been one of the most popular restaurants in Cheltenham for over 12 years, being awarded two rosettes for the past 6 years, for consistently good, high quality food.
Seating 40, the brasserie is open seven days a week, for morning coffee, lunch and dinner, including Sunday lunch.
We were warmly welcomed when we entered the restaurant. The food was delicious and well presented and the staff very friendly.
Lovely meal at Monty's. The steak was one of the best we've had for a long time and the service very good. We had a deal on the new spring menu which made it excellent value.
This was the special 50% deal which made our visit exceptional value. The staff were efficient, helpful and courteous
Lovely food and friendly service as always.
5 star all round experience
Very nice food, polite efficient and helpful staff. Only negative would be that it was Wuite cold in the restaurant But would definitely go again
Fantastic food and lovely atmosphere
Atmosphere score only because it was so quiet. Lovely lunch!
An excellent meal well presented, very attentive and welcoming staff and the set menu extremely good value with a good choice.
Excellant service disappointed that cocktail bar 2x &10 is very restricted. My steak was not cooked correctly well done on 2 edges and medium in middle order was for medium rare !!
Lovely meal out - excellent value for money, especially the prix fixe menu. A little quiet but it was a Wednesday evening. Apart from that, a very enjoyable evening.
Excellent food and service
Food was stunning, the staff were polite efficient and attentive without interupting you while you dine. Definately go back again
The worst meal we've ever had here. Unimaginative food, poorly presented and badly cooked. Grilled fish was dry, broccoli only vegetable and undercooked and dauphinoise potatoes a solid slab. No atmosphere on Xmas Eve -only 2 tables so perhaps others are dissatisfied with food. Has it changed hands as very different from last visit in May? excellent French waitress only good thing. We will not be coming again
Food excellent, service excellent, just a little to expensive
Some confusion over which menu applied as website did not make it clear that the £35 menu was only available to large groups. Overall service was very good and the food was good quality.
Great relaxed pre-Christmas lunch. Good value and quality to boot! Even though it was a busy race day in Cheltenham, we didn't feel like we were being rushed.
Restaurant service at dinner was erratic My meal arrived a long time after the others Brussels sprouts were an awful accompaniment to my meal Breakfast waiter was attentive and charming Reception staff were helpful and professional Jessica very helpful at booking stage We stay on a regular basis but not since take over Food not as good as on previous occasions Bedroom carpet needs replacing and bathroom in room 123 needs improvement. This is a charming room otherwise. Drinks should be served to guests in the sitting area near reception This used to be the case Very nice to have parking Thank you for seeking feedback
A good lunch, thank you.
The starters were fine , as were the desserts. The turkey was awful- trying to be too fancy. We wanted Christmas dinner- the stuffing was a smooth pate texture and shoved in the middle of the meat- ridiculous. The potatoes were not roasted properly(even Aunt Bessies would have been better) and were then reheated in a microwave so had gone a very odd texture and colour. The bread sauce was wiped on top of the meat - didn't even know it was there(had to ask). The brussel sprouts were like cannon balls- I was given 2, my colleague- 1, and further colleague had 8. Very disappointing. The only part that stayed hot were the sausages. The gravy was just drizzled on the meat( otherwise it might have stayed hot longer). The pumkin main course had jerusalem artichoke root- 3 huge pieces. A colleague said ooh that's quite nice and then tasted it and said it wasn't cooked properly. There was far too much of it anyway. I gave you the 2 stars for the chocolate brownie.
Food was perfect and staff are so friendly
The starters & main course were exceptional, I had the cheeses for desert which was lovely, my wife had the strudel which she said although it was tasty was quite heavy on the pastry. The service throughout the evening was magnificent all of the staff were warm friendly & welcoming, the oustanding member of the team being Alice, what a treasure you have there.
I have an allergy to eggs and the service from the team members was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. First class.
Hanburger is very good! Risott is too solty so I could not eat this.. Service and atmosphere is marvelous.
The food was very good, although the portion size was very small. It is incredibly expensive for what you get. Would not go again. Service was excellent
