Located just outside the entrance of Vale do Lobo, at Monica’s you can enjoy an exquisite and varied menu prepared by our talented Chef João Duarte.
Originally founded in the 90s, this spot has always been a firm favourite for both locals and visitors alike.
Presenting a cozy, sophisticated and romantic atmosphere, the restaurant is further complemented by a pleasant garden, a rustic terrace and a lovely dining room designed to make you feel at home.
A sumptuous wine list is paired with a varied menu, where a vast selection of tender and succulent meats takes centre stage and is also accompanied with the freshest fish and some vegetarian options to suit all tastes.
Fabulous food in traditional setting 🥂😁
Lovely meal as always. Our go to restaurant in Vale do Lobo.
Enjoyed a lovely evening at Monica’s, delicious food, beef wellington was wonderful. Service was excellent, attentive without being obtrusive. Would highly recommend for couples, families and friends.
We love this restaurant. Food was delicious as always.and service was impeccable.
Excellent venue. Was just quiet when we went so not much atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
Lovely evening - we will return- thank you.
Great place, first visit and booked to return. The best service and food excellent
Just lovely! Relaxed atmosphere, attentive service. Great food. Would definitely go back.
The meal and service were both excellent. Would definitely recommend.
A very enjoyable meal in a good setting.
We had a fantastic meal here. We really enjoyed it. Food and service were excellent.
Absolutely amazing. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Menu, service and ambience is magical
A bit disappointed by the food - nothing special and fairly small portions. Seemed a lot to pay for an average meal. Location very nice and staff attentive and helpful.
Great food and service
Lovely setting and atmosphere. Staff very friendly and were especially good with the children. We all really enjoyed our meal and would definitely recommend. Kids playground was great too.
Monica's is a friendly, well run local restaurant. It's very special sitting in the very comfortable seats on the Terrace in the early evening with a light warm breeze, sun going down, massive gin & tonic infront of you and on occasions a talented guitarist serenading you (but not expecting a tip!). The Octopus starter is fantastic, as is the Steak & Ale Pie. (with gravy!)The wine list is great with good value especially at the upper end wines. Suitably indulgent puddings as well. This is a great restaurant and well worth a visit.
Great food and very friendly service, went back for a second visit. Overall the price was similar to meals we had at nicer-looking restaurants on the beach front, which you would expect to be pricer, so this did seem a bit expensive (particularly 8 euros for a starter/dessert).
A superb meal with service to match. Staff were incredibly attentive and friendly and we’ll definitely be back.
Fantastic food, service, location and setting, couldn’t fault even if I wanted too! 100% recommend
Excellent food and staff.
Great restaurant with excellent service and food. A rustic feel to the place but the quality of the food is more like fine dining.
Food was Amazing, and my wife who is a Coeliac and requires Gluten Free food was totally catered for , will definitely return and recommend to friends .
The food at Monica”s was fantastic. I had pork and my wife had lamb. Both were beautifully cooked. Sad that I don”t have enough days left in my holiday to go back this time. But I will be back!
Lovely atmospheric restaurant and bar with high level food at reasonable prices. Thoroughly recommended.
Had a really enjoyable visit to Monica’s. The food was exceptional and honestly the best we had while visiting the area. Intact probably fair to say it was the best meal out we’ve had ever while on Holiday. This was the opinion of everyone and we were a party of 8. All the staff was lovely.
