Minnow is a laid-back independent neighbourhood restaurant overlooking Clapham Common.
Our menu is focused on modern, seasonal dishes using the freshest ingredients and local produce. We offer a selection of cocktails, wine, freshly pressed juices and hand-roasted coffee.
Friendly & welcoming service
Excellent dinner and the best Moules Marinér starter ever!
The venue is lovely, albeit a lot smaller than I had imagined. The table they gave us was right next to the door and it became quite chilly because people wouldn’t close the door as they walked in. The food was lovely. I ordered eggs florentine which were so nice. My friend, however ordered eggs benedict and it was served with bacon! Her poached eggs were very runny compared to mine and she was disappointed with it. We ordered the oat matcha latte which was lovely. Our brunch was cut short however, when the waitress announced she had another booking in 5 minutes. Talk about rushing us out! She mentioned this was mentioned in the confirmation email which it is definitely not.
Thanks we had a lovely relaxing evening with some great food, wine and service. One of our party said the tuna was the best she has had in the UK since returning from New Zealand ayers ago. Minnow has become a local favourite
No Sunday roasts left (pre 3PM) Eggs royale took 30 minutes to be prepared (when all that is needed is to poach two eggs and toast bread) No cakes or desserts Service was poor - had to get up on two separate occasions to get the attention of a waiter/waitress
Poor service, no dessert available, unable to smoke outside, food was good but too small (2 small chicken thighs),too expensive given the overall experience
Had reserved sunday lunch. Arrived at 120pm and they were sold out already so we left disappointed.
Great vibe, great food.
Too busy- very chaotic service, had to wait 15 minutes for our table. BUT amazing roast dinner!
Great food, great atmosphere - can’t wait to come back!
Literally only the roast potatoes could have been better. Everything else was sensational
beautiful surroundings and great food. Would highly recommend.
Lovely!! Enjoyed ourselves immensely. Hardly any vegan options despite being told on the phone there would be. But what I did have was delicious!
One of my favourite places to go in Clapham
Another disappointing experience here. Too busy to cope and can’t deliver good service. Having reserved a table for 10am, we were told we had to leave at 11am as the table was reserved for 11am. Literally a 60min breakfast. This is the 3rd and last time i’ll eat here - just not worth it.
The service was slow and they forgot a lot of our food. When it arrived it was cold. Very expensive for what it is.
Friendly, attentive service, lovely food and beautiful surroundings. Thank you
A very enjoyable evening with great food and drink served by friendly attentive staff.
Great food! Great date spot
Food was awful - I had the mussels and they were the worst I've ever had. Not good atmosphere for a weekend, very quiet. Terribly slow service considering there was no one in there - the staff stood around chatting. Wouldn't recommend.
Had a lovely brunch for my sister in laws birthday , staff were so lovely and very helpful even looked after our little pooches to. Food delicious turmeric latte amazing followed by cocktails . Will definitely be back to the very pretty minnow xx
A delightful restaurant. The menu is imaginative, both for drinks and to eat. A good selection of things are offered you haven't had a dozen times before. Service friendly and attentive.
Lovely setting with courtyard seating option. Good food, reasonably priced, with friendly and attentive staff.
One steak was cooked completely wrong, the aubergine starters was like a bowl of crisps, the gnocchi dish had hardly any sauce and was pretty tasteless for the strong ingredients that should have been present, the cocktail we ordered was tiny and supposed to be sweet and was disgusting, the cabbage side dishes were tasteless and unseasoned.
The beef roast was not a carved roast at all. The piece of thin steak was over cooked and had a lot of fat on it. By the time we sat down to eat at 3:30pm most of the items on the menu were sold out. Very very disappointing Sunday lunch.
