About Mini Grill
Beneath street level on Glasgow’s lively Bath Street, Mini Grill is a cosy eatery serving a range of steaks and predominantly Scottish themed dishes.
Close to Charing Cross and along from the Kings Theatre, our venue is in a prime location for a quick bite to eat at lunch, a pre-theatre meal before a show or an elegant dinner. We use only premium grade and ethically sourced local produce.
Excellent food as usual
Steak was phenomenal. Chips were great. Wine was superb. Service was very personable, polite and attentive. If I had one criticism it would be the diner who insisted making a hell of a racket when his passing friend popped in and there was zero consideration for fellow diners. I thought the staff might have managed the situation. But the restaurant, staff, food and drink were all top notch. Highly recommended.
Nice food, good atmosphere. All a bit cosy with some tables, but well worth a night out. You won't be disappointed
Excellent food and great value
Superb food and very nice service 👍
Food was lovely!
Could be more variety of desserts. Food is always 10/10 though.
Phenomenal service and brilliant food. I can’t wait to come back and will recommend as much as possible. So well done to the lovely staff and chef. My favourite restaurant in Glasgow. .
My partner and I have been big fans of yours over the years and have been for dinner many times. Unfortunately our experience on Friday was really disappointing. The service wasn't great, the gentleman serving us wasn't very attentive - didn't provide any options to my partner when he asked for a pint (walked off straight away before he got the chance to ask what was on offer), forgot our water for the table etc. There was quite a wait for all of the food, the starters had obviously been sat waiting for some time to be brought out as they were look warm. We waited around 30 mins between each course - I had to ask where our deserts were after over 30 mins. I am 6 months pregnant and my back was starting to get really sore from sitting for so long so this was again disappointing - especially when our deserts arrived and were all cold, including the sticky toffee pudding which I could only really describe as a cold carrot cake with no frosting. Our steak was cooked perfectly but again the steak and sides were look warm and unfortunately the extra sauce I requested never arrived so there wasn't enough of this. All in all the experience wasn't great - I appreciate it was very busy for Valentines Day but there was a set menu and plenty of staff around and so I don't feel that the slow service and look warm food was justified. We have always highly recommended this place but don't think we will return for a while and would definitely recommend to avoid during valentines day/other occasions.
Felt like a real treat, lovely food and service made for a perfect evening out
This was my second time coming to Mini Grill. The first time I was blown away with everything, especially the service and the food was outstanding - but this time around (also for for a special occasion), I was far from impressed. Staff seemed stressed, sloppy mistakes were made. Wrong drinks taken to the table, one staff member didn’t even say anything while dropping off drinks at the table that were originally taken away from the table. Staff were so flustered that there was a couple of ocassions where things were dropped and smashed causing a disturbance to the atmosphere. I’m aware accidents do happen, (I’m not overly upset about that, more so for pointing out that the staff were stressed). The food, everything was fantastic bar the desert. Left in the fridge/freezer for too long. I couldn’t even put my spoon through the ice cream and cake... The wait between our main to our dessert was 30 mins with our dirty plates still left sitting in front of us. It felt quite uncomfortable as the table is very small in general. There was a cello and violinist playing that evening. They were brilliant whilst they were playing. I was under the impression that they would be playing the full night. Not only witnessing a few songs. But overall I wasn’t impressed this time around. I was very disheartened actually. For the occasion for my partner and I and also for the money I paid. I’m actually pretty upset that I felt the need to write a review like this, because I know what the usual standard is like.
Excellent customer service and knowledge about the cuts of steak. Atmosphere was warm and cosy, felt like a homely environment. Would definitely be back again.
Amazing!! Best steak in Glasgow! Will definitely be back.
We loved everything about this place. The food was awesome with large portions. My husband and I had the On the Rib Sharing Platter. Short but good wine list at very reasonable prices. Service was superb. We will be back.
The Glasgow burger is top notch. Girlfriend had the hanger steak and says it was lovely. Staff were great too. Would definitely recommend.
Loved the food was the best steak iv ever had although the house wine could have been better! Staff were lovely! Would recommend and visit again
My boyfriend and I went for Valentines day and got the set menu. The cellist and violinist who were meant to be there for the evening left as soon as we sat down (8pm) and didnt return till 9. This was a little disappointing. The main course was outstanding, but I was underwhelmed by the starter and dessert. The portions were small and it was just simple. For the money I would have expected more and better. I'd go back another time but not for the set menu
steak was cold and tasteless. Sticky toffee pudding was also cold while icecream was frozen solid. Really really poor especially At £49 perhead plus drinks
Best food/meal ever had and great service Staff all very friendly and helpful Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back
Starter was excellent. Main was ok. Steak was a bit dry. Desert was very sweet. Went on Valentine’s Day and it was very congested. Understandable but not the best experience. Steak pie was magnificent.
Food was amazin the haggis starter was class
We absolutely loved our visit. The food was delicious and Sam our waitress so helpful and friendly,
Everything was lovely as usual, my only concern was the 10% service charge which we thought was a wee bit over the top.
