About Mhor 84
Mhor 84 is a restaurant, café and bar. All three are intertwined. We serve food all day from 8am-9pm, for motel guests, walkers, joggers, cyclists, the odd pet dog, and everyone else, too.
There’s always something good to eat at Mhor 84. We source a lot of our food from our own farm at Monachyle Mhor. Breakfasts come in all shapes and sizes, including the Big Breakfast, our fabled eggs benedict, or a simple flat white with Mhor Bread sourdough toast and homemade jam. Lunches include stonking soups, homemade bread, Scottish steaks, and gourmet burgers, as well as bowls of mussels, or seafood chowder, or a few choice loch oysters, and plenty of sumptuous salads from 12-5pm. From noon until 9pm, additional specials are added to the menu.
Cakes and pastries come freshly baked from our sister bakery Mhor Bread.
There’s plenty of food that kids will enjoy, and high chairs for the little ones.
We’ve a cracking wee wine and beer list, too.
The bar is open for alcohol from 11am to 11pm, Monday-Thursday, till midnight on Friday and Saturday, and from 12.30-11pm on Sunday. You’re welcome to come in for a pint, anytime.
We had a wonderful lunch, with all three of us opting for the special of the day, a chicken curry. It was absolutely delicious, and it wasn’t overly busy, so the atmosphere and ambience were perfect. We’ll definitely be visiting again for another pals lunch.
Lovely food; friendly service; amazing cakes 😋
Atmosphere was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious with an exception to the pakora. Did not taste or have the texture of pakora. Bland and dry. We still would return again.
Lovely ambience, attentive staff and delicious food. We shall definitely be back. Thank you
Only used the restaurant but nothing to fault.
Lovely wee place. Food was good and staff were very friendly.
Amazing food. Great atmosphere. Staff wonderful and extremely child friendly
A lovely night spent at Mhor84, will certainly return.
2 bed cottage absolutely brilliant 2 couples and a toddler. Travel cot was ready set up and extra towel provided. Lovely cottage, little touches are lovely. Stylish inside and practical. Evening meal was absolutely lovely, great child friendly restaurant and food great. Breakfast not so much waited 1 hour for food but it was very busy and staff were rushed. Overall would definitely stop at this hotel again.
Mhor 84 is a wonderful spot with incredible views, that feels very secluded, even though it's just off the main road. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is laid back and warm. We were here the previous day for lunch and coffee too, which were good. All the staff are very friendly. Only complaint was, the cakes were a little dry.
Food was very nice and our server was friendly and helpful, however thought it was a bit pricey, the starter of pork belly was quiet small (about the size of a postage stamp) and only 3 pieces, main course was ok for the money but the dessert was wildly overpriced for the size , my creme bruleè was served in a teacup and was probably only about a tablespoon in amount.
Excellent once again ...great vibe and good service , don't mind paying for that ,please keep it up
Relaxed atmosphere with lovely food. Easy to move from restaurant to bar. One star lost on service because our drinks order wasn't picked up despite table service. Had to go looking for our drinks at the bar. Just a small thing and didn't spoil our night
The steak was not cooked correctly sent back waited 15 minutes and was sent back to me the same. Wish I had spent £10 on one from the store and cooked it myself.
Food was great and a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. Two of the three waiting staff were very good. The third, a blonde waitress was grumpy and quite abrupt.
Great afternoon lunch and back for evening meal too. Great scenery from the restaurant. Good service and friendly staff. Would recommend and will be back.
Food was terrible on the night. The leak and potato soup was watery. It looked and tasted nothing like leak and potato. The white bread was not fresh. The ckicken burger bun was burnt and the skinny chips where obviously from a frozen bag. We ate and left as we where in a hurry. So didn't complain at the time. We have eaten at 84 many times in the past but we will not return after this experiance
Really enjoyed our meal here on Sunday evening but couldn’t fully enjoy the experience as they had run out of two deserts. Really disappointed.
We had a lovely meal here and would certainly go back. Thanks Bill
Everything top - like always!
Always cheerful & good food. Love the view of the hills
Food's getting better & better, deco lovely as always & friendly staff. I do hope that tank gets removed soon though...
Fantastic food in a great setting. Would definitely recommend.
