About Forge Bakehouse
Serving up all day breakfast and brunch, monthly late nights and supper clubs. Fully licensed with a wine, beer and cocktail menu, we are psyched to finally have a larger cafe space in which to kick back, flex our creative muscles and entertain.
Our ethos is one with the bakery. Food made slowly and from scratch, from the ketchup and mayo on your plate, to the jam and bread for your toast. We’ve expanded the menu that folks came to love in our original little bakery cafe and switch it up with the seasons. We’ve got egg brunches as far as the eye can see, and lots of vegan options too.
Best brunch/lunch in Sheffield
excellent menu, but very little kale in the creamy kale/mushroom baked eggs dish (lots of sloppy grey goo), and pancetta very undercooked. Eggs underdone, too. Sourdough toast superb. Other menu options in our party looked better so maybe I was just unlucky.
Lovely visit as always. Friendly staff and great food, thanks!
Great food, great people, great time. What more could you want!
I would be happy to come back every week for brunch. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere amazing and accomodating staff
The upstairs cafe was a little loud so it was hard to make our orders
Lovely food, prompt and friendly service. Can’t wait for the next one, thank you !
It was excellent as always.
Had a great full breakfast on Sunday. Delicious. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Food and coffee always good. A little on the pricey side but worth it for the quality. Have you changed the cheese you put in the grilled cheese toasties? Believe you used to use this lovely cheese called comte. Still delicious though. Thanks.
Our favourite place for breakfast, fantastic
Friends and family visiting Sheffield are so impressed by Forge Bakehouse. It's great to be able to showcase the bakery and cafe as part of a vibrant food community in the City.
Awesome. Thank you xx
Good food, good service, fantastic bread
Great brunch Lovely staff
Excellent menu, delicious food, good service. A really great theme - only improvement would be a bit more on the theme; decorations, lighting, etc.
A chance to try a different style of food in a relaxed atmosphere with confidence in the quality of the ingredients. We especially enjoyed the fried chicken, crab cakes and beignets. Pricing was fair.
I was disappointed that the menu didn’t have the cooked lunch options as the previous time I visited and dessert choice was just a few left over pastries.
Really enjoyed a work lunch out. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Highly recommended all round
food was absolutely delicious, I think we were only given the house kimchi juice instead of the bloody marys that we ordered though, which was a shame.
The food is lovely and of a high quality. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Service was very slow at lunchtime on Sunday. We got our drinks quite quickly, but didn't get any food until an hour after we had sat down. Staff did apologize just before it finally arrived and offered us a second round of drinks on the house, but it's a long time to wait!
Sufficient choice on the menu and possibility to adapt the dishes to your preferences. Some varied flavour combos and not just the standard brunch items you’d expect. Refreshing change!
Always good my family love it here
We had a very unfortunate outing to forge bakehouse this weekend. Firstly the extremely rude staff in the take out area of the establishment were a red flag straight away. The man serving the take out coffees whom I just asked a simple question about the doughnut flavours rudely snapped at me saying I can’t speak I’m making a coffee. When upstairs in the cafe to be seated for our booked table, all of the staff just stared at us rather than greeting us, we then sat at our table and waited but no one came to take our drinks order. Cannot review the food as they didn’t have many items and in particular the dish we had actually l requested on the phone as part of the booking that we wanted to order. I can understand having a busy morning but we did ask for this and I rang up the day before and day of to ensure. The food we wanted was French toast and were told there was no toast, which in a bakery is quite I believable, this made us think the bread used must not actually be from the bakehouse?. Coffee we had was luke warm as waiter used cold milk, really not good. We will not return and will be warning others of the rude, uninterested staff and poor customer service of this place.
