About Meejana Weybridge
Welcome to your Lebanese home-from-home. Recently refurbished and extended, Meejana “Maison” builds on our ten-year history delivering exceptional Lebanese food with a new bar area, comfy sofas and a baby grand piano (played on Saturday evenings by our resident pianist Pasqual). You are welcome to drop in and relax, sip a coffee, enjoy a cocktail or sample our great food. We are now more than just a restaurant, we are a place to wine, dine and unwind.
Our philosophy for our food is simple: use the best ingredients and prepare each dish fresh to order with unparalleled attention to detail. Our menu includes many seafood dishes from the coast, alongside dishes from the interior (often lamb or chicken). Our mezze is extensive and includes delicacies such as sweetbreads and frogs legs. Our main courses include family recipes from the owner’s Lebanese family which are unique to us. We also offer a wide selection of grills and other traditional dishes so there is something for everybody.
Our desserts are home-made and include Lebanese classics such as Baklava and Maamoul as well as a small selection of crêpes, Om Ali, Halva and artisan ice creams and sorbets.
Couple this with an extensive wine list, including many wines from Lebanon, Syria and the New and Old World and you have a Lebanese restaurant unlike the others, gaining international recognition with the LUX Tourism Award for Best Middle Eastern Dining Experience in Surrey in 2018.
Myself and my partner came to yourselves for our first Valentine’s meal land We were very disappointed. I’ve visited your restaurant before and I couldn’t say a bad word against it. Food and Service was great. However, that wasn’t the case on Friday night. We were seated in the back room, which was fine apart from the very cold draft coming from the kitchen area. We waited a whole hour for someone to come and take our drink choice, and we only managed to get their attention by putting our hand up and asking someone to take our choice. When arriving we were told someone would explain the menu choice to us, this did not happen and we could not see the limited choice advertised on the main website, if we were to know, we wouldn’t have come. We finally ordered drinks and food. The drinks took another 30 - 35 minutes to get to us, and again that was only because the table next to us had to ask for their drinks. I understand that Valentine’s Day can be busy but this service was beyond poor and honestly, if we thought we could get another table elsewhere last night we would have left. For our first Valentine’s together, this ruined our night. Regards, David.
Amazing food, love this place xx
received a bill for over £100 higher than it should’ve been after waiting 10 mins to get someone to bring me the check . Took 15 mins to fix the issue. Finally bill fixed but the boss decided to automatically add service charge on the new bill which wasn’t on the old one. Can’t say if it’s simply weird or just tacky to automatically add service charge after guests have service related issue. I’ve been to plenty of places that offer to cover the cost of a drink or appetizer when they screw up but never had them automatically tip themselves.
Been loads of times; food always great!!
1 - There should be Kids menu or option to order small portion sizes - ordering a child full size adult meal that costs close to 20£ is way to expensive 2 - Usually its relaxing ambiance, this time the lights were too bright 3 - We ordered Lamb Tagine and checked description & with the waitress if it has sultanas and prunes etc, she said it is not moroccan tagine hence does not have prunes just has mild orange flavour - when it turned up it had apricots, sultanas. At the same time couscous was too bland
1. Food was overpriced but we had gift cards so it did not bother us that much 2. Service was average, lady who was serving us was speaking very quietly and it was very hard to understand her. We were allowed to chose a table as at the time when we arrived there was only two people there. As we have booked a table prior to our visit we have chosen a table in the corner. Once we sat down we were told to move because it’s booked... even though we booked a table too? Then we were served by a guy who was very friendly and confident 3. Absolutely nowhere to park. I hate driving 20min to the restaurant just to find out that there is no parking available 4. Spaces between tables were so small that once it got a bit busier, customers and staff were touching our table with their bodies... it was so awkward 5. Short waiting time but it wasn’t busy at all when we arrived 6. Tasty and fresh food Overall, the restaurant is not bad but I know so many better places where you can get amazing service and great food for cheaper. It was a pleasant evening but I will not be returning for the above reasons.
Coffee served was cold and pudding ordered was not as described soggy pastry in a bowl of milk with artificial cream squirted on top. Disappointing end to meal and then a ten minute or more wait for bill sadly would not return or recommend to friends .
We have eaten at Meejana since 2007. The food is always first rate. Never had a disappointing experience. The meze range means you never have the dame meal twice. The vegan and vegetarian options are extensive and flavoursome. Great value for money for a quality dining experience
We had a fabulous evening at Meejana on Saturday. We took friends who had not been there before, they absolutely loved it. Wonderful food, fabulous atmosphere and delicious Lebanese red wine! Thank you.
Reliably excellent! The food is always beautifully spiced and meat is tender and moist. The decor is stylish and elegant. Heartily recommended.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at your restaurant. The meze were excellent with fresh, subtle and balanced flavours. We enjoyed them very much. The service was courteous and friendly and the atmosphere pleasant and relaxed. The live pianist was a particularly nice touch and he played a lovely medley of tunes. We would certainly return for special occasions and recommend it to others, but felt that the prices would prohibit frequent visits. At a little over £25/head for one drink and one course it makes your dining experience, whilst delicious, quite a bit more expensive than the many gastro pubs and restaurants in the area. The low aclohol lager was a very reasonable price but over £9 for a 175ml glass of wine is little expensive and pushed up the price of the meal considerably.
Fantastic food. Probably the best Lebanese I’ve had in years! Staff are very attentive and pleasent. We will definitely be back!
Relaxing, comfortable environment. Flavourful food freshly prepared. Meze means extensive choice. A different meal each time we go. Large selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes. Friendly, knowledgeable serving staff.
We were there for lunch and food was really tasty as usual and the service was good. We ended up staying really late but didn't feel that we were rushed even though we were the last ones there. Thank you
Lovely evening great food
We had a lovely Sunday lunch of tasty food and a relaxing atmosphere. Service was good and not hovering, pressured or forgotten. We will be returning again.
I enjoyed my meal at this resturuant, I came during its quietest times which is a Sunday lunch time, therefore they're wasn't much of a atmosphere which is absolutely fine, I prefer quiet place. However I can tell, during the evening this place must get busy, it's gives a romantic yet comfy vibe. With a gorgeous pianno I can imagine it's lovely late at night for a date. Food was good, loved the hummas. It was garlicky, smooth to perfection yet thick. I would prefer a bigger portion, I think if your paying £5 a bigger portion would be great as your usually breaking bread and sharing between 2. However flavours where 10/10. My meal was flavourful, I loved the salad, it had an amazing dressing aswell as pomegranates. My wrap was nice, the meat was thicker than usual which I don't mind, tasty. Again I would prefer a thicker wrap, I'm all up for a fuller wrap. Otherwise was lovely. I will come here again for a nice meal, maybe come during the evening. It has a private area also which I like.
Wonderful restaurant with an extensive list of food choices. Service was excellent, as was the baclava at the end of the meal.
Lovely venue, we’re always bringing friends here they love it. Nice that you have the corkage option, I can have my favourite New Zealand Sauvignon which isn’t on the menu. A great evening we even had a fabulous piano player last time we came....Jackpot 😀
Absolutely delicious dinner. We had the Ambassador sharing meal for three. There was just the right amount of food for us. The Lebanese Chardonnay was tbe perfect accompaniment to our dinner. The service was very good. We will definitely be back.
Food and drink were good, but the bread was stale The waiter spoke only basic english, it was difficult to understand Finally we were charged £8 for water, this does nog sound reosable "value for money"
Had a couple of dishes to pick at , then had something from the main dish menu . Was absolutely stuffed and despite best efforts couldn’t clear the plate . Will definitely rebook . Staff friendly and welcoming , food and service fantastic.
Consistently excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere created by friendly staff within a stylish setting. What's not to like?
