Great service and the food was very nice. I felt like I was in a restaurant in Wellington or Auckland not New Plymouth it had that quality about it. Highly recommend.
Outstanding service by very knowledgeable staff the food was superb
we had an absolutely fantastic evening, recently we have had a chance to have a few meals out in town, Meat and Liquor has been the best by far.
Waitress was great
Great food and service. We will be back
Great food and great service. Noise level in the restaurant a little high to have good conversation. Would return.
Lovely meal. The Beef Tartare was outstanding!
Great food great ambience feel very lucky to have this in New Plymouth
very nice meal, short-rib was outstanding
The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and we really enjoyed our night. Not sure if our waitress was in training however, as there was quite a few mistakes with our order. Despite this, everything was marvellous and we would dine again.
Great service and nice meals.
Delicious! Gorgeous sauces.
Perfect for a special occasion
Excellent service from Victor, and great whiskey recommendations at the bar from Rachel!
Lovely meal once again!!!
Great restaurant- excellent food
Great food and service with knowledgeable staff. Was a great dining experience
We really enjoyed our evening at Meat & Liquor along with our two teenage granddaughters. The meal was beautiful & not a scrap of food was left on our plates - the service also was wonderful - not intrusive but always there if we needed anything
For a restaurant promoting the best meat sourced from around the country we were expecting the best but left feeling dissapointed. As meat lovers my partner and I have eaten our fair share of steaks and know our meats. Meat hung for 28 days shouldnt need a steak knife and jaws of steel to eat it. Alas it was from far from their best efforts. The lamb shoulder was more like an entree size with some added grit that wasnt on the menu. The upside from our visit, we wernt charged for the steak. So summing up, nice venue, nice atmoshere, great service but need to up your game on your meat your putting out.
The ribeye on bone was divine!
Absolutely amazing food! I hadn’t the beef cheeks and it was incredible! I didn’t like the cocktail I got but I guess that’s just a personal preference. Service was amazing, we were served by Fran and she done an great job explaining dishes and answering our questions. All in all it was a really good experience would definately recommend to friends and family for a special meal. Thank you again!
We dined on Wednesday evening in support of the Feastival restaurant week. The special menu, food and drink for the event was outstanding, as well as the service from Victor. We dine here often and always have a great evening out, would highly recommend!
Very enjoyable evening, everybody had great things to say about their food. :) Thanks Victor for the great service.
Very much enjoyed our meal
