About McGrory's Hotel- Front Room Restaurant

McGrory’s Hotel offers a unique dining experience with menus that reflects the excellence of local produce - stunning fish landed nearby in Greencastle, excellent meat and poultry carefully farmed and butchered in Inishowen, and seasonally selected local vegetables from Ballyholey Farm. The team here at McGrory's are passionate about sharing the richness of our local produce and present it with pride and creativity.

We are known for an excellent pint of Guinness and also stock superb local craft beers and artisan gins. Our wine list has been personally selected by John Wilson, one Ireland’s leading wine writers.

The Front Bar and Front Room both display the original stone walls of this century old building as well as carefully crafted woodwork creating a cosy, enlivening atmosphere which adds to the many pleasures of eating and drinking in McGrory’s.

We booked a table in the restaurant - we were advised to do this as we had kids - this was good advice as the bar was very busy and the restaurant worked better for us. I thought the staff were really friendly and helpful, in a nice natural way, and whatever we asked for they brought promptly, despite the place (bar and restaurant) being really busy. I've put the service down a bit lower just because there was a bit of a gap between people being served at the table, but could see that the kitchen was busy serving the bar and the restaurant, so hard to know how they would get around that. For a party of 4 adults and 3 children it was great value, and food was really tasty, from the mussels with a lovely treacly wheaten to the home made chips to curry on the value menu. I love it too that they serve Kinnegar! We've been coming to Culdaff for years and love McGrory's, the place wouldn't be quite the same without it.
