Ogni ingrediente, ogni prodotto è frutto di un’accurata ricerca fra le eccellenze dell’enogastronomia italiana e le specialità di piccoli produttori. Marzapane è semplicità, genuinità, tradizione, immediatezza: per un’esperienza sensoriale completa.
Nasce nel 2013, da un’idea di Mario e Angelo e si presenta con una location ispirata alla vecchia Parigi, dal gusto minimal, essenziale, in stile un po’ bistrot. Giorno dopo giorno, conquista Roma anche grazie al talento della giovane Chef, Alba Esteve Ruiz, vincitrice del Premio Gambero Rosso Chef Emergente 2014.
A poco meno di due anni dall’apertura, Marzapane si presenta in una veste completamente rinnovata ma in linea con l’anima del progetto originale. Una cucina-laboratorio a vista, intonaci naturali a base di calce, pietra, legno massello, drappi di lino, un’atmosfera calda e accogliente per un racconto del gusto che continua.
Fantastic food. The only dish that was somewhat average was the falafel, the rest was really good.
Great experience. Food was great . Will come back. Don’t like the slide of hand when you pay for complimentary bread. Although This seems to be a Roman thing. Not something we are used to in a Michelin restaurant. Didn’t over shadow the food though. It was good. Hard to judge atmosphere on an early lunchtime seating. Is probably better at night when full and happening .
MARZAPANE pasta is out of this world. I would have eaten a thousand plates and not tasted anything like it. Amazing!
Great dinner, best in Rome. Highlights includes the fettuccine with squid and the tuna starter. Restaurant called a taxi upon our request as well. Good service. Would definitely recommend for friends and family.
Marzapane is a real find. It is moderately priced for a very high quality restaurant. The service was solid, the wine list was small but well selected, and there were some exceptional dishes. Presentation is very modern and the chef and cuisine is imaginative in presentation for many dishes. The octopus starter and the pigeon entry were exceptional in all ways—cooked and spiced to perfection and lovely in presentation. The fregola pasta dish is one that is hard to be creative about but the baked Alaska desert was good though not exceptional. The one big error is in the handling and serving of red wine. We had an excellent red wine, however it was served at a temperature of 19 or 20 degrees C, way too warm. Most fine restaurants keep red wine in a cooled cellar and serve the red at 13-14 or for some 12 degrees c. The staff when asked to provide an ice bucket did so reluctantly, did not understand the value of chilling red to bring out the full set of flavors and then provided an inch of ice and water—inadequate to chill any wine bottle. They must be trained on this essential issue. But red wine aside, this is a best buy in all ways.

It is rare I won't finish a plate of food but this was and occasion where two out of the plates were returned to the kitchen barely touched
Sono un cliente abituale. Sono soddisfatto di tutto : cucina, vino, servizio . Ma non si potrebbe migliorare la comodità delle a Sedute ? Si sta proprio scomodi ...

Food, except for the octopus, was underwhelming. When a menu is this limited, everything should be superb. Veal carpaccio was tough and inedible. The skin on the chicken was seared to the point that it could not be cut with any of the three knives the staff provided. The wine list was overpriced.

The Sunday Easter menu was completely overpriced for the quality, quantity and presentation. Starter was basic, the meat was one lonely single small piece with wilted leafs, dessert: a store bought (or it felt like) colomba. Unfortunately it doesn’t live up to the standards that normally Marzapane has delivered in the past. Hopefully a one off bad experience....wouldn’t recommend it if this is the new Marzapane norm.

Great service and atmosphere in the restaurant. The most exciting thing to say about the food was that is was not bad.. Most of all just a bit boring and ordinary. Had expected more from the place.
Our waitress, a young woman, spoke beautiful English which was helpful in explaining the menu items. We had a delicious cheese plate, carbonara, and lasagnette, as well as wonderful wine. This was the best meal we had while visiting Italy, and possibly the best meal ever. Thank you!
Très belle découverte, loin des foules et de la nourriture touristique. Ici, on célèbre la cuisine italienne dans la richesse de ses textures, saveurs et parfums. Très belle carte des vins. Service avenant, discret et aimable.
