Our first time staying in this hotel in August and we absolutely loved it, from the minute we checked in we were met with a friendly smile and chat ..highly recommend couldn't not fault anything at all with this hotel 5star rating from us
I have to say I had the most amazing stay with my Husband and 6 year a few weeks ago.We are regular visitors and the Galmont never fails to disappoint .
Disappointed with the bed breakfast and evening meal package that we booked. When I initially made the reservation over the phone I wasn't told the evening meal was only two courses, so upon checkout we had to pay more which came at quite a surprise. We found 3€ for swim caps at the leisure centre quite steep also. Overall a nice stay, but the add on payments did take away from it all.
Overall a good stay
It’s difficult to evaluate the hotel due to Covid restrictions in place . Also I would recommend you install electrical car chargers in your car park this would be a big plus for these car owners .
The Galmont is a fantastic place to stay in Galway. It's a very nice hotel and just a 2 minute walk to Eyre Square. I had a sea view room and it was great to wake up looking at the water every morning. Really enjoyable stay and I will definitely be returning and recommending to friends / family.
We are years going to this Hotel and we have always been very happy. Value for money. Great position 5 minute walk to Eyre Square.
Staff member at the pool couldn't be bothered with us when we arrived to check in for our pool booking. Staff member who showed us to our seats for dinner really uninterested in us at all. Seemed like our presence annoyed her and she kept looking at me up and down very off putting. It's a joke that hotel guests have to pay for parking the meal was average. Upside is the younger guys who Work on the breakfast are really friendly and helpful. The staff member who checked us out was so nice and friendly too. Overall slightly disappointed
All great except one night disturbed by people in next room at 1.30 am with loud music and shouting
All great except noisy neighbours in room next to us disturbed our dleep
Staff were friendly at this Covid times WHEN EVERYONE IS ANXIOUS its so nice to get away. Thank you
Great location and very friendly staff. Rooms were very comfortable and although not serviced routinely because of Covid, requests for extra towels and toiletries were delivered quickly. The front desk staff were excellent and any problem was promptly sorted. Look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Galway.
Great hotel in perfect location.staff friendly, restaurant and bar served lovely food.will come again
Due to Covid 19 restrictions placed on Dublin I was unable to travel to Galway for my three day break in your hotel. As I had prepaid for the accommodation via Pigsback I contacted a lovely man Paddy in reservations who was so helpful to me. So while I cannot comment on any of the above I would like to compliment this particular gentleman for his assistance and good nature.(One star given as it is a required field)
We all felt very safe in the hotel, the attention to cleaning and sanitizing was so impressive. The staff are friendly and any requests were dealt with promptly. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms are so comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Really enjoyed my stay will be back
Fabulous hotel . Young family . Beautiful terrace which our 17 month old loved. Friendly staff , pool was gorgeous , food was lovely , could have a bigger menu in the bar in the evening but other than that we loved our stay . Reception area inviting and spacious . Our room was cosy but modern and very clean. Bed very comfy . Would stay here again no problem . Gym also is decent.
We are so happy we booked another stay for a months time
We stayed in The Galmont for two night and loved every single minute of our stay. The staff were so nice, atmosphere was relaxed and calm, food and drink were exceptional. We didn’t want to leave and will def be back! Thank you for this experience.
We stayed in 133 .. bathroom totally dated and the bath/shower is not what we were expecting.. room otherwise ok.. the windows could do with the frames and hinges being cleaned they were totally rusted. Asked for a high floor , were given the 1st floor . Lack of areas outside the hotel to sit or relax we could see from our room a big open area that was not being used for some reason and the other outside area was full so that meant we had nowhere to go after dinner only the bar which we didn’t feel comfortable in. The leisure centre is just that .. a cold pool and gym , we didn’t get to see the spa ? We asked at the desk and was told it’s separate .. ? Big stand out was our dinner .. prob the best wings I’ve ever had .. fish and chips were delicious and desert was fab. Unfortunately it’s not enough to warrant a return . For what I paid I could have went to a far nicer spa hotel an parked for free.. had a superb room and walk in shower.. great atmosphere and a spa / pool to relax at .
This is my second time to stay in the galmont Hotel. Everything, starting with booking the rooms, the great deal we got & the customer service from norah who arranged everything for us & was so so helpful, you couldn't fault this hotel. The hotel itself it gorgeous & the food was really good. The location of the hotel just finishs it off as its only 3 mins walk & your in eyre Square! Fantastic place!
A very pleasant stay at the Galmont Very Covid conscious with plenty of sanitizing stations and everyone complying with face coverings. Look forward to visiting again
