About Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill
Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill take pride in offering great service to their customers. This stylish new bar & restaurant is a great place enjoy a fine dining experience or a relaxing drink with friends or family.
Very disappointed with our meal at Marco Pierre white restaurant. We were seated at our table and had to ask after 5 minutes for a drink order the restaurant only had 3 other tables in. I ordered the rump of lamb and husband ordered the burger. The dishes were presented very well. After 2 bites of the lamb I realised it was very very rare actually cold in the middle deep red colour and the burger was dry, there was hardly any staff around so I couldn't ask them to heat more. When waitress came over I explained why I had left half of the lamb she said she would let chef know. No response from kitchen. After having to ask for further drinks we ordered dessert. The banoffee Eton Ness was recommended so I was looking forward to it. It arrived and instantly I seen there was hardly any meringue just a very small bowl of whipped cream and chopped banana. Again I couldn't finish it and let the waiter know. At this point we just wanted to leave asked for bill. On the bill I seen £25 deducted I assumed for my lamb, paid bill then realised I had made mistake that money off was my voucher. Now since paying the bill I was told they couldn't take anything off as transaction went through. Reluctantly the manager came over with a 20% off future order card for us, safe to say we will not be using it and not returning to the restaurant!
I gave a four for atmosphere only because it was a quiet time in the restaurant, being a Wednesday at 6 pm.
Poor menu choice and not what expected
Ribeye steak not a ribeye, but a cross cut upper rib steak. Tough as old boots. Service poor, waiter didn't; know how to use a waiter's mate to open bottle of wine. Left waiting for 45 minutes to clear table and in the end had to call someone over. Mid range Malbec poor quality, for what is meant to be the house speciality with Marco's name on it. £5 Tesco special as good quality. Ate in the hotel restaurant the next day (marriot) and much better quality food and service. (but the bar was set very low) Very disappointed. Place empty on a Friday night when the European champs on says it all.
Staff and surroundings wonderful. Also loved the mocktail I had in bar.
We have dined with you before and stayed as guests in the hotel but this time, although it was peak lunch time there were only 2 other tables in a x2 and a x1! This did not help create a great atmosphere. Also the food was really nice and of course we were there with a voucher but we added value by having 1 large and 1 small glass of wine and 2 coffees but our bill was £20 +!!! We were very unhappy with a ‘service charge’ being added. Our voucher was poor value - our added purchases were overpriced - we would have been better just buying a special 2 course lunch!!
Lovely dining area. Food superb. Great value for money. Spotlessly clean. Staff very attentive.
Great food at a very reasonable price. Had a lovely evening with friends and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recomend.
Had a great night good food and great company. Was really good meeting Marco
Nice restaurant. Good food but had to wait too long for food. Friendly staff
Had a lovely lunch . It was a Groupon deal and was well worth the money. The service was brilliant and the food excellent. Would definitely recommend the restaurant and will absolutely go back.
My wife &I had lunch, and chose the preset lunch menu.Could not believe the four main meals, that was on offer, were as follows. Fish&a chips, Macaroni cheese,Shepherds pie, or Hamburger. If I had wanted this type of food,I would have gone to a pub,or cafe. This is not what you would expect from a. Marco Pierre White restaurant, very disappointing?
I purchased my 2 course lunch for 2 people with an itison voucher, but I certainly wouldn't have paid full price for it.
I took my Aunt here for her birthday and we had a wonderful evening. The food was fantastic!
Perfect as always. Big fans of the restaurant. But please put the brownie back on the dessert menu!
Great food great wine and great service as always
My fav restaurant of all time. Tasty food and outstanding service. Haven’t been in over a year and was still as high standard as my last visit. Kitchen even made my husband and I a sharing desert on the house as they knew it was our wedding anniversary.
Service and atmosphere marked low because the staff started clearing/setting tables for breakfast when we were eating hit mains. The clattering if crockery was unpleasant and tablecloths being bundled and carried off made us feel we had reached the end of our evening! Food was excellent though
Excellent food and friendly, competent staff. Quality is well worth the price. Can’t fault it...
Some of our drink orders were wrong but it’s not the worst thing to happen! Had a brilliant time here celebrating my graduation.
Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. The beef bourguignon was outstanding.
First Class Service As Usual, Staff are polite, friendly and take the time to remember you from previous visits. Food is always superb. We will be back sooner than later.
We asked for steak frites as a change to the menu which happened to bevinthet day. Sometimes it’s one of the choices. £3.50 each, a bit harsh. Any accompanying things £3.50 each. You want a sauce with your steak? You’ve guessed haven’t you? ....£3.50 each! To be fair the chef relented on the latter when we protested. All in all great service but too much relentless pursuit of profit.
