About Mains of Scotstown Inn
The Mains Of Scotstown Inn is an multi award winning family pub, famous for its local sustainably sourced food, community engagement, beer, wines, live music, big screen sport and for running amazing events throughout the year. We do so much that it is hard to list everything, so imagine this…
Take a wee wander off the beaten path into Bridge of Don and relax in our restaurant, where you’ll find a menu with some of the freshest local & Scottish produce with traditional favourites and something new for the adventurous.
We’re all for keeping things informal, so we have a couple of menus for you to choose from, if it's a bar supper you're looking for then you can sit back in the bar and even watch the sport. If it's traditional Scottish pub fayre step in to the restaurant. Just choose the area to suit your mood or crowd. Whether you dine in the restaurant or congregate in the conservatory, the friendly informed staff are on hand to offer mouth watering descriptions of the tried and tested menu and wine list.
The ultra environmental and sustainable Mains of Scotstown Inn occupies a converted granite stone farm steading, The Inn oozes old farm house character on the outside and contemporary looks on the inside. The spacious restaurant, with its impressive granite pillars and high ceiling and classic granite arches, makes it an excellent dining venue, with a touch of modern design giving a relaxed ambience and great cuisine in a landmark building at the heart of Bridge of Don.
I have given a one star grade as I actually didn’t get a chance to enjoy what would have been our first experience of Mains of Scotstown Inn. I did my booking online, due to current guidelines. Received a confirmation email back. Turned up to the venue to be met by a locked door and empty premises!!! I appreciate times are difficult right now but if you are closed the website and phone messages need to be updated! Disappointed and hungry family. We had been travelling home from a break away and would have been a lovely way to finish it off! 🤷♀️🙈
Great lunch, great service
Very nice clean restaurant. Waitress was very pleasant and nice. Food was amazing.
Excellent food and value for money. Great portion size as well. Prompt service. Highly recommend
Good food and a few beers, very good signage and management of the C19 procedures.
Excellent food and a very relaxed environment. My son proclaimed the shoestring fries the best he'd ever had.
We had a lovely meal. Staff were excellent. Would fully recommend.
No one ever asked if the food was ok with each course which is normal in most eateries, the staff were very busy so can let them off here. When we were first seated we were given paper menus but we found each one to be different - not sure if this was an error as maybe one was the lunch menu? We ordered macaroni and one person had chips which the menu said were £2 added to the dish but we were charged £3 and they weren’t the best quality, it was like they were the bottom of the bag where they were mainly tiny bits - not what I remembered the chips being like when previously ate here. Final ‘moan’ was the coke tasted funny - wasn’t sure if down to residue on glass from cleaning or if it was the actual coke that wasn’t quite right - didn’t want to moan to staff as there was only 2 really and they were off their feet - kind of put us off coming back which was a shame. Will add that the actual macaroni cheese was SPOT ON!!! Very yummy and filling and cheesy 👌🏼
We really enjoyed our lunch with you today. This was our first time eating out in a long time and we were impressed with how safe and well organised everything was! Thank you!
Great food and service, felt safe eating there during ongoing covid restrictions.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal on Tuesday 04/08/2020. The service was fantastic. We felt safe in this weird time. Would definitely come back soon.
Wide ranging menu. Food was really good.
Good food & good service!
The only negative was no kids menu but we really enjoyed the food and the set up was great.
Food and service good,
Fantastic menu, resonably priced. Food was lovely. Will be back again.
Lovely food and service
Was here with a table of 17. We pre ordered our meals, so would be hard to comment on wait time for food normally, but were very impressed with timings and standard of the food overall.
staff was very polite and helpful our food was served very quick and hot staff were also very attentive
Consider adding some specials to the menu for the weekend?
Lovely meal, attentive staff without being in your face, first visit since under new ownership will definitely be back
Staff superb, food all well cooked and presented- good to be back after swearing never to return after previous poor experiences- new management having a good impact, a welcome return to good quality in the local area. Thank you.
Uncooked chicken. Stodgy mac n cheese. Cancelled cups of tea after they didn't appear in 20 minutes. Not rushing back!
We all loved the food the fish was really nice with the chips in a little basket, the scampi was so fresh , the deserts menu was really lovely, could do with some apple pie or cheesecake..could you make for gluten free food options..thanks lovely night ..
