About Maggie Mays
Award winning live music venue, bar & kitchen.
Natalie who helped with our booking was great, like some sorry of cherub angel type thing ye get in films. She should get some sort of award for her pleasant phone manner or at least a free burger or something
Enjoyed the burgers and wine. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Just a bit noisy for me.
Really relaxed atmosphere. Good with kids. Very nice!
Food was delicious service excellent would highly recommend
Great food and lovely staff, will definitely return!
Food good, premises are filthy. Furniture desperately needing replaced.
Mid week catch up with friends, great atmosphere, loved the music & burgers were tasty & staff very attentive & friendly... great value for money!!
Had an Itison meal deal, well worth the money,, burgers where delicious, food was well presented and cocktails where amazing, will definitely be back soon. X
The staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Food was great, good value for money.
Food was great but the staff made the whole experience! Constantly checking on us and chatting away. Brilliant atmosphere.
Great value, food and service highly recommended
My friend and I visited Maggie Mays last Sunday using a Groupon voucher and cannot recommend this pub highly enough. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The burgers we had were to die for, as was the Zombie....definitely a must if cocktails are your thing! Thanks for a great afternoon, we will most certainly be back!
We booked via itison on the morning of our visit, so a cheeky wee cheap offer. The burger and fries took about 40 minutes to arrive, which seemed rather a long time considering the tables were far from full. However very tasty when they arrived. They were served on a metal tray which although looked cool, were rusty, even though a sheet of greaseproof paper was placed between the food and tray, it tore on cutting the food, not what I want my food sitting on top of. Our table was a little on the sticky side, perhaps from spilt drinks the night before. I was facing the service hatch where the female chef was leaning over the prep counter eating away whilst the male chef was prepping customers food. If it's your break then eat away from this area and not in plain sight of the customers beside the prep area.
Food was great and staff were friendly.
Really good food, nice staff, toilets could be cleaner.
purchased a voucher which was a great price/value for money, staff were nice, would go back and recommend to family/friends. Lots of seating indoors/small outdoor dining. only issue with sitting outdoors was "homeless people" came up to myself and friend (as well as others) 4 times looking for spare change ...
Our waitress was fantastic! There was 10 of us and she handled the orders perfectly. Taking my mum this weekend so she can try it..food was delish!
The blonde girl with the tattoos serving us was brilliant! Super friendly and chatty. Prices were value for money and the cocktails were to die for! We will definitely be back soon.
Freshest and best food ive had in a pub in a long time compliments to the chef! Staff so pleasant helpful and attentive all round great visit will definately be back have recommended this place to all my family and friends WELL DONE to all og you!!!
Great food and atmosphere!
Service was great. Burgers fantastic. Burger buns are rubbish! Coffee was poor. I’d definitely come back though.
We arrived as the first diners at 5.45 but because my friend and I were chatting so much and catching up we didn't realise that it took a whole hour to serve us, whilst other diners were being served before us - maybe they forgot about our order, we did get an apology. Food was delicious and it was part of an Itison deal, excellent value for money but would happily pay full price for the burger - just maybe a bit quicker service.
Booked before the Bruno Mars gig for a late lunch. We ate Philly steak sandwich with fries & chicken tenders with fries. My friend had 2 beers & I had 2 mojito cocktails. The skinny fries were really undercooked & on complaining the waitress had a wee bit of an attitude although she did refund my friends meal completely. We were happy for the fries to be refunded only but she insisted. I also asked the waitress whether my mojito was a mocktail as I could taste no alcohol at all, again attitude insisting to me that she saw the measure go in the drinks. I find that hard to believe as the place was really busy and she had confirmed to us that 3 staff were sent home earlier on in the day as they weren't busy then so how she had the time to watch cocktails being made astonishes me. The cocktails definitely did not have alcohol in them and if they did, it was clearly watered down. I'm not a big drinker and I feel the effects of alcohol quite quickly and I didn't at all from the 2 mojitos purchased in Maggies. Really disappointed as we were hoping to come back later after the gig to end our night there but I now won't be back at all which is a shame. In the end, we had a wee chat with the waitress and we ended up giving her a Fiver tip as the situation with the food and alcohol was clearly not her fault and she did seem a sweet girl. Waited 40 minutes for our food as well which we couldn't understand as when we arrived, there was only 2 other tables taken within the restaurant, granted, within 20 minutes of arriving the restaurant was almost full.
lovely setting and food and good service..
