Good food, great branding but the atmosphere in the restaurant is awful. Bright lights, mirrors on the walls and no decoration that fits the brand as well as awful pop music (biyband Five?!) made it an unenjoyable place to sit and eat.
Nice food and atmosphere. Would possibly go again.
Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, wonderful atmosphere and design aesthetic. Friendly and helpful staff
Good service and the food was amazing! I am planning to hold a corporate event here in April and popped along for a site visit which the staff were not aware of prior to my arrival. They were attentive and curtious and served us quickly. Would highly recommend and can't wait to see what my clients think later in the year.
I booked via redletter day - 30min shooting lunch dfizz combo. On arriving we were not greeted at the entrance and had to guess where to go. We were 20mims early for our booking so found the shooting game room downstairs and went to the bar for advice on what to do, we were told to sit at any unoccupied booth and someone would be over to demonstrate what to do. Nobody came but we played to some level on our own. The reload button on the guns were very temperamental and frustratingly affected the game. Then a lady came over, I thought she may finally be there to introduce us to the redletter experience and offer to take a drinks order but we were told after 20minutes to "finish up after this last last round" our table wasn't due to be ready for another 30minutes however so I had to ask for this to be brought forward rather than hang around for this time. We were shown to a table, the restraint was unbearably loud with music trying to drown out the 3 large birthday groups who were shouting across their tables to be heard over the music.. It was so loilud the waitor couldn't hear me take my order, nothing on the menue was explained and we ended up ordering more than what was included in the prepaid gift voucher landing is with a £30+ bill to pay at the end. Along with a £10 shooting lesson which was never provided. The whole experience was underwhelming and left feeling they were only interested in squeezing more money with hidden add-on's on the bill. Dissapomting and impersonal. Awful loud atmosphere for a restraint unable to enjoy the food through cringing at being unable to even communicate without shouting. My guest suffers with tinitis and no doubt suffered even more than myself.
Food and service was amazing, quick at topping up bottomless drinks
Had great staff serving us and the food was excellent.
45 minutes to get a drink, menu was too limited - nearly two hours to get main courses. Rude service - totally embarrassed to take my colleagues here. Will not come back.
Great food and service. Will definitely return.
Been to both Mac & Wilds several times and had a wonderful time hiring the gun range for my birthday last year. Off the back of this I took my (new) colleagues there for a work social last Friday and the food we received was terrible. I assumed it was just my bun that was burnt & flakey and patty that was undersized & cold so didn't raise anything at the time. However this week I've learnt that this was the case with all our food served yet no one wanted to cause a fuss at the time. Not sure what happened that evening but a couple of my colleagues have e-mailed to raise concerns and had no response. Think it's a great restaurant and brand so would be good to hear back in some form.
I booked a table for 13 people for lunch for a leaving do and was asked to have everyone submit their pre-order beforehand. We sat down at the table at 12.05 but did not receive any meals until 1pm, despite us pre-ordering. There was also a 10 minute gap between the first person receiving food and the last person, meaning some food went cold. We also had to rush our food as some of us had booked the shooting for 1.30pm and some had to get back to the office. Overall I feel it was pointless pre-ordering food based on this and meant the meal was not as enjoyable as we had to rush. The food is always good and recommendable but I will not be recommending a group booking for any of my work colleagues or friends.
Great service, the venison chateaubriand cut like butter and melted in the mouth, best I've ever had..
Not great overall. They moved moved the booking back 15 mins for the range, charged us for 2hrs and we ou got 1.15 on the range. Food is overpriced for what it is. Steaks were good, burgers a let down.
My husband & I came for an anniversary treat of bottomless brunch & shooting & were not disappointed. The food was gorgeous, good selection of drinks & the staff were fab!! Special mention to Luan & Alice & the barmaid downstairs with the short blonde hair....customer service at it's best! We will be back.
After Receiving a red letter day voucher for your restaurants and then an hour shooting my partner and I we’re very excited So decided to use it on a special occasion a birthday. We felt very cheated in the fact that as the red letter experience and when booking it tells you it’s a two course meal with cocktails we were shocked to find that you had to pay for sides to go with your main course even though on your main menu the courses that we’re available for us to order on a deal all came with sides. If it already comes with sides on your main menu I think it’s beyond rude to pay for them in a deal. Not only that The waiter didn’t speak very good English and we had to ask several times how we wanted our Meat done also when we asked for a mock-tail as one of us was driving he said it couldn’t be done as all your cocktails our pre made and it was a soft drink and nothing else. Again your paying for a deal and you can’t even offer a mocktail. After what was a very rushed meal, sit down order the starter and they arrived before our drinks the started taken away and the main was with us within minutes it didn’t give us time to enjoy our surroundings or even order more drinks. We we’re gutted as we we’re so looking forward to the meal and the experience.
I was not impressed at all The Mac and cheese was cold and tasteless The Venison Scotch Egg had NO EGG! and I feel that Mac and Wild has gone downhill as I used to be a customer at Fitzrovia and also Devonshire Square and food and cuisine were excellent It was my wife’s birthday and we were very disappointed 😞
Haggis Mac & Cheese was incredible!
Everything was great.
The beetroot ketchup on the bloody roots burger was amazing!
I was really disappointed. We arrived and for the first 30 minutes didn’t have anyone come over to our table. The food took the best part of an hour to be served, and before it came out the waiter asked us ‘if we’ve had our food already’, that seemed disconcerting. Three items we ordered didn’t turn up first time, including a drink we ordered at the end. When we asked for that and when we asked for a drink to arrive that the waiter seemed frustrated. The food wasn’t great but I must say that the boozy brunch was quite generous with the drinks and lasted over two hours.
Really good food and service, especially the delicious game meat on offer! The whiskies and shooting range downstairs made for good after-meal fun too.
Keep the Haggis, Neaps and Tatties burger....
