Group bookings welcome.
perfect meal as always. love the new cocktails on the menu. michael provided excellent service and advice on food and wine. thanks
Super friendly, helpful staff, and delish grub that didn’t disappoint. The Venimoo burger was epic, whisky fries insanely tasty, and the deep-fried Mars bar bites were heavenly.
The price was perfect. We were 3 and we paid around 20£ per head but we used Code App with 50% off the food. The service was poor because the waiter was rushing way to much. He literally took the menu away from my boyfriend hands while he was still ordering. Not really nice.
The heritage vegetables were a big disappointed. Some cubes of fried leak which weren't seasoned were just not good. It was a very mean portion too for the price.
Very impressed. Will be returning and spreading the word
Amazing quality meat and delicious. Good service. Had a later booking and most of the smaller cuts of meat were no longer available (particularly the venison) so disappointing that some of the menu was not available. Also preferred wine from menu was out of stock too.
Whilst the service was very good and the food very tasty it arrived at our table cold. The waiter apologised and our breakfasts were replaced. However the beans came back cold for the second time.
Disappointing dining experience unfortunately. Firstly there were only 400g steaks available which were too big for us, however we ordered them as there was nothing Smaller available. Steaks arrived over cooked and we had to send them back. I was then convergence as the waitress crossed off the 400g steak from the board but was told they would just cut some more?! Could they not have done this with the smaller steaks and people can order the actual size they want? Steak was delicious when it came but the dining experience had been tarred by then.
Good food, pity service was not great even though it wasn’t really busy. Missed out on drinks orders & service had no care or attention.
We loved our evening at Mac & Wild and will definitely be back with our friends!
Food was awesome, however device very slow. Seemed under staff and forgotten about (we waited 20 minutes for our drinks and my main meal came 5 mins after my boyfriend's).
Always exclent food, drinks and service. Great food done simply and well
I cannot wait to go back already. Great vibe, service and food is to die for 😍.. If you love everything Scottish go and literally the best Mac & cheese I’ve ever had x
Excited to try out Mac and wild. Our table was being hogged by some mahoosive tarts who just needed ‘5 more minutes’. The manager was huge apologetic to us and got us beers and haggis Bon bons whilst we waited. She was very kind all evening. I have venison fillet and we shared mac and cheese and chips. Mac and cheese with haggis was a delight. Chips were not as good as the menu made out. Meat was really good. Unusual and cooked very well. Have to say though, one of the highlights was the red john sauce which was delectable! So good!! Want that again for sure. Had a cocktail with the manager as we were last in and then a little scotch as of course we had to. The manager and server (Ellie) were incredibly friendly and attentive as well as simply just good people. Really made the night extra special. You should def try it!
We had a lovely evening and the banter with the staff made it extra special Thank you
Had a very nice evening - two waiters in the basement worked much better than the last time I went when there was only one.
Brilliant Scottish food. The deep fried Marsbar sundae was amazing!
We thought the burger was lovely and the mash was amazing. The steak for the price it was we were expecting something amazing but it was what we expected from any average steak house.
The general atmosphere and decor was really nice. The haggis bites were delicious. The burger was unfortunately disappointing- it was over cooked and the cheese was cheap plastic style, which didn’t work in this. It was impossible to differentiate between the 2 patties. For the price I was expecting something on a par with say, Dirty Bones or the pricier chain burger joints. And it wasn’t as good as either. The chips were ok.
Would recommend to all my friends
The food is amazing, and the prices (considering it's That London, and I'm a northerner) were fair too. We had the venison and the haggis balls, followed by the house take on the Eton Mess (I would suggest renaming this to a Gordonstoun Mess or a Stewarts Melville Mess to keep the upper class, public school connotation!). The service was a bit patchy - had to ask for water a few times before it arrived, and the young waiter guy was a bit ditzy - but overall it was a good experience. If I'm ever back in Fitzrovia I'll have a tomahawk steak - the table next door had one and it looked cooked to perfection (as was our venison)
This is my first time to this Mac & Wild and for brunch, having only previously visited the other site and for the evening menu. The produce is good (as expected) but the actual meals were pretty average. I had the black pudding Benedict - the muffin was barely toasted & the black pudding was cold - however, the presentation of the dish and the Benedict sauce was nice. Similarly on my Fathers Scottish breakfast - the meat was good, black pudding cold. The potato scones weren't really potato scones - had more of a mashed potato consistency. We mentioned about the black pudding on both dishes to the waitress who said she would feedback to the chef. I gave a 3 for Atmosphere as it was pretty empty, the service would have maybe been 5 star if we had a check back, hadn't had to sort our wobbling table ourselves etc. It was friendly enough, could just have been more attentive.
Warm and friendly atmosphere with great food. The staff were *happy* and all had personality, and the good music selection really rounded out the whole experience
Loved the food and service was great too. Liked the soundtrack as well which added to the fun atmosphere. We’ll definitely return.
