The buffet was excellent and all the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful; we all enjoyed ourselves very much and would certainly use you again if we need a venue for a similar function.

We booked a carvery (as your email confirmed) for Fathers Day but when we arrived it was a sit down menu meal and no explanation offered. The food was not served very well and was missing items (Yorkshire puddings) and some items were not available either. Not what we expected for a special day and the cost!

Pros: Staff are friendly, views amazing, hotel building looks great. Breakfast was nice. Cons: Spa is basic, no grounds to explore, no free fruit or mini fridge in room. Dinner was over priced. Of note: There was a wedding on when we went and the noise from the party was extremely loud. Had to listen to their music all night. Try to avoid being near this. @deancousin

Enjoyed every aspect of our stay! The view we had while eating our meals are the best we ever had in this country. Staff from reception to spa to restaurant all where very helpful and friendly. Will be returning that is for sure.

Amazing stay, beautiful grounds and building. Had a really relaxing time. Julian was particularly helpful and very welcoming. Will be staying again.

The food was tasty but overpriced. It was fine dining prices without fine dining service and still in need of some further tweaks to justify the prices on the menu. The servers were slow to respond and need further training from strong leaders. The gins were £8 a gin and served with the wrong fruit. If you charge £8, the gin has to be served at its best. E.g. strawberry gin with strawberries, silent pool with orange and so on. As it is now trying to be fine dining, I am unsure I would come back unless further training and tweaks were given.

A la carte lunch menu was lacking in choice (misleading given the a la carte menu on your website); all four of us had to have the steak as a cauliflower dish was the only alternative. The steaks were poor quality and all had a third of chewy fat on them so only two thirds meat; one dish had string attached to the steak; the service was slow although the staff were pleasant and clearly stretched; the desserts looked industrial and probably came out of a freezer. Just a very bad and disappointing experience, compounded by it meant to be a Mother’s Day treat. You need to completely review your restaurant offering and a serious revamp with a focus on quality is required.

Full body scrub was amazing by Roberta, clean changerooms, warm pool, amazing carvery lunch and just left to my own devices to relax and enjoy, no hassles! View outside was amazing and plenty of sunloungers availsble. Will definitely go back for a spa day.

Very nice welcome, fairly attentive waitress. We had carvery the beef was exceptional but unfortunately the veg was all lukewarm. So spoilt a potentially excellent lunch.

Understandably this review isn't brilliant because of your current drain problem meant eating in a function room. The service was excellent and the food was tasty, although the choice was limited as part of a Spa Day option. I enjoyed the non-alcoholic cocktail too.

Many thanks to Melissa and the team for a splendid lunch party for my mother's 80th birthday. I was anxious given the occasion but all the guests had a lovely time and have mentioned what a great venue it is and how good the food and service were. A lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. The carvery food, although delicious, was not very hot. This did spoil our enjoyment of our meal. The pear dessert was a little disappointing. Overall though a venue to recommend.

We will definitely be returning soon, the hotel staff are fantastic, the surroundings are stunning. We had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant too. It's a shame it was only one night.

My partner and I had a lovely experience. I cannot fault the food we had within our offer nice choice. The spa facilities were lovely but lockers available didn’t work so had to leave my items unlocked. I paid for an upgrade on our room which was nice but feel there are some parts that need touching up. Our bed was two put together which I don’t normally like but this was ok the only downfall was the double duvet in the king duvet cover. I wouldn’t have said this was a deluxe double.

For an overnight spa break, was amazing value for money, was so nice that it was quiet during the week as well! The only negative was that the water pipes in the wall woke us up, as well as the creaky floors above us! Also, we wanted to use the spa again on the second day however an Aqua aerobics class prevented us from doing so, might be better to do it later in the day during change over as we paid for 2 days in the spa but didn’t feel comfortable relaxing whilst that class was going on! Apart from that, enjoyed it and would come back!
