About Lythe Hill
Enjoy a relaxed dining experience at our Tudor Restaurant & Bar.
Serving old-school classics, new creations and big flavoured steaks, The Tudor Restaurant is known for it welcoming ambiance and friendly service – not to mention the panoramic views across Lythe Hill’s gardens and lake area.
Beautiful hotel. Comfy rooms and social areas. Staff were nice and helpful. Will definitely be visiting again.
Lovely staff, great bedroom, very tired spa with small average facilities. Food was great especially for a dinner B&B offer. Overall great value for money but this is a hotel break with a swimming pool not a spa break with overnight stay.
Lovely setting, staff lovely, afternoon tea beautifully presented
Accessibility a problem. We had a spa day package. One of our group had mobility problems so getting from spa to restaurant was difficult. There was no wheelchair available for us. Therefore I would not recommend you to anyone with similar mobility problems.
Excellent service. Every member of staff went out of their way to help
From arrival we were made to feel very welcome and staff were attentive but not over bearing. Afternoon tea was perfectly sized and the scones were light and fluffy. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning very soon.
Both my partner and I specifically booked for the "spa". I know it's always difficult to tell for the photos, but it was very limited. The pool was no way near warm enough, especially as it was cold, wet & windy outside. Also the whirlpool is connected to the pool, which meant it was obviously too cold to use. The staff were all very polite and lovely at reception and the room we had was clean, spacious and had a lovely view. The dining staff were very slow to serve drinks and seemed to lack organisation, which left them exposed to poor service, of which did not reflect the high standard of food. Breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Thank you, Grace
Had a great overnight stay at Lythe Hill with a group of friends. The food on Saturday evening was lovely. The staff were extremely busy due to a wedding and several large parties but still managed really well. A special mention to Pete who looked after us exceptionally well.
There wasn’t much choice for the evening meal. The food came out fast which was good. Although there was not time in-between starter and main. It all felt very rushed. The staff were new and had no knowledge about the food. No feedback was asked when the main came out. And we weren’t asked if we had finished our main. Our plates just got taken away. The staff weren’t experienced or just undertrained. Breakfast was a buffet which is limited. Then to order hot food was simple but came out cold which was disappointing. For a beautiful restraint the food wasn’t good enough and a let down to a 4 star hotel.
We have been meaning to try the Sunday lunches at Lythe Hill Hotel for some time and did so this weekend. We were very impressed with the food, the ambience, the caring service and general location - a great place for a special meal. We will be trying the evening menu sometime soon, amd would definitely recommend this to others without hesitation.
Really lovely service and friendly staff very good value for money. Will definitely be back.
Lovely staff who went above and beyond, some dishes were a little under-seasoned, amazing puddings!!
Fantastic food not rushed at all great staff will come back
Great range of choices on the menu, for all dietary requirements. Starters certainly had finesse to them, especially the duck. The service was ok, however we arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and had to wait 20 mins for our table to be ready. We also had to ask for things more than once as they had been forgotten (sauces to go with our food and the bill). There were not that many staff considering how busy it was.
Thank you for a wonderful overnight stay. We had a great time and feel relaxed. The dinner and breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice. The staff - in particular the breakfast waiters and girls behind the reception were helpful and very friendly! Special thanks too to Jade who did my fabulous facial! I feel so relaxed...it was the best I’ve had! Nice pool area and sauna and steam room was fine. Thanks again!
Thoroughly enjoyable experience, and excellent value for money. Would book again.
Excellent service throughout, brilliant staff, the most comfortable bed ever, scrumptious breakfast, what more could you want!!!!!!!!! Highly recommend this secret gem.
We realy enjoyed our afternoon tea, and were very well looked after. The only issue was they had run out of Earl Grey tea! This was a birthday treat for our daughter who only drinks Earl Grey, so it was a bit of a problem. Non the less, we would visit again.
Overall dinner was good, but what spoiled by a Chocolate dome dessert that had a lot of drama (melting chocolate by pouring hot sauce over it), but it was lacking in flavour and texture. After melting the chocolate dome I left with puddle of melted sorbet and passion fruit sauce. I felt it needed something like a biscuit, crumble or sponge to absorb the liquid and elevate it to the next level.
Arrived for afternoon tae on sunday the 15th February. The hostess was very professional and very nice! Would definitely recommend
We found that the Carvery was not in fact a carver but a prepared meal. We were disappointed with the bland roast beef meal lacking flavour, though nice slices of beef. The veg was too al dente for our liking.
We had a lovely time rating with you and just a few small issues:- The shower was not good, no power and just a sprinkle The card system had failed to had to keep getting reception to let us in, he was very nice about it though :-) Me and my friend were both pregnant so couldn’t have the Prosecco, I did request however some kind of mocktail but there was nothing they could do. Overall though the hotel is lovely, dinner and breakfast very nice, grounds lovely and service :-)
Our waitress was so lovely, food was amazing
Overall a very pleasant experience - the setting was gorgeous. However, if you're offering 'High Tea' a variety of black tea should be offered - I would have liked Assam and I'm sure you're frequently asked for Earl Grey. The sandwiches and cakes were tasty but nothing special. Also the website price doesn't specify per person - it appears that the price is for 'Tea for Two'
Fantastic experience. Both the spa and hotel were lovely, and the service was great. Gemma was incredibly helpful sorting our room and Bridgette at the spa was lovely.
