Very nice welcome, fairly attentive waitress. We had carvery the beef was exceptional but unfortunately the veg was all lukewarm. So spoilt a potentially excellent lunch.

Understandably this review isn't brilliant because of your current drain problem meant eating in a function room. The service was excellent and the food was tasty, although the choice was limited as part of a Spa Day option. I enjoyed the non-alcoholic cocktail too.

Many thanks to Melissa and the team for a splendid lunch party for my mother's 80th birthday. I was anxious given the occasion but all the guests had a lovely time and have mentioned what a great venue it is and how good the food and service were. You advised me well, really looked after us and everyone went home happy. Thanks again and best wishes.

A lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. The carvery food, although delicious, was not very hot. This did spoil our enjoyment of our meal. The pear dessert was a little disappointing. Overall though a venue to recommend.

We will definitely be returning soon, the hotel staff are fantastic, the surroundings are stunning. We had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant too. It's a shame it was only one night.

My partner and I had a lovely experience. I cannot fault the food we had within our offer nice choice. The spa facilities were lovely but lockers available didn’t work so had to leave my items unlocked. I paid for an upgrade on our room which was nice but feel there are some parts that need touching up. Our bed was two put together which I don’t normally like but this was ok the only downfall was the double duvet in the king duvet cover. I wouldn’t have said this was a deluxe double.

For an overnight spa break, was amazing value for money, was so nice that it was quiet during the week as well! The only negative was that the water pipes in the wall woke us up, as well as the creaky floors above us! Also, we wanted to use the spa again on the second day however an Aqua aerobics class prevented us from doing so, might be better to do it later in the day during change over as we paid for 2 days in the spa but didn’t feel comfortable relaxing whilst that class was going on! Apart from that, enjoyed it and would come back!

Our beds were very hard and uncomfortable. There wasn’t a lot of diverse choice on the evening meal menu, both for starters and mains - we both found something to eat, but neither of our choices left us feeling that we had had good value for money.

We have had an amazing new head chef that has joined us just before Christmas, however over this period he has bee working with the previous head chefs menu . When you do a steak sandwich, please warm the caramelised onion as well and don't add it at fridge temperature! Your staff are wonderful.

We have only just recently had our amazing new head chef come on board just before Christmas, and so he was working with the previous chefs menu and had changed it to give the best possible dinning experience to our guests during I'm sure you can understand busy time. As the new year heads on Head Chef will release a new menu around February time which will have more choice and see the Head Chef add more of his own flair and style to as he settles in.
