About Lusty Glaze Beach Restaurant
ABOUT LUSTY GLAZE BEACH RESTAURANT
*Please note - our £30 hot rock deal is not available during school holidays
Nestled in a secluded, privately-owned cove, just a short walk from the centre of Newquay and down the infamous 133 steps, the Bar & Restaurant at Lusty Glaze Beach provides a unique setting for, lazy lunches, cosy coffees, and seaside suppers.
Whatever the weather, the view from your table is breath-taking. Sit on the terrace and soak up the sunshine with a cold drink in the summer, or on wild winter days, cosy up by one of two roaring log burners with one of our famous hot chocolates.
We take pride in the creation and presentation of our food, and our relaxed and family-friendly environment provides a quality casual setting for dining, so don’t be surprised if your waiter is wearing a pair of flip flops.
We can cater for all dietary requirements if you make us aware of them before visiting.
Well behaved dogs (and owners!) are welcome in our bar and restaurant all year round.
We very much look forward to seeing you at the beach. If you have any questions about your visit, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly team on 01637 872444.
Simply a lovely place to relax and enjoy an evening meal with the stunning backdrop of our beautiful Cornish coast.
Beautiful meal in an even more beautiful setting. Our waitress couldn’t have done any more for us and the live music made for a lovely atmosphere. Thanks Lusty Glaze x
What an evening, wonderful location , relaxed atmosphere, amazing tunes supplied by Ezmay Grace, the monk fish kebab was the best dish we chose but everyone went home happy and smiling
The setting is stunning, the food was lovely with plenty of variety to suit even our picky diner ! Staff were friendly and efficient
Its a beautiful place, truly magical. The food was good but a little expensive for our pockets, meaning we would only ever come here for a treat . That's not a complaint though, just that we like a little more value for money.
First visit we absolutely loved it food was fabulous staff were very friendly and efficient would definitely recommend x
Fantastic venue. Perfect place to chill and watch the sun go down. Staff all very friendly and helpful.
Our first visit. Spent a wonderful afternoon enjoying the sun and surf and your beautiful beach cove. Meal in the restaurant a unique experience with a sea view and live music. Super attractively presented fresh food, with friendly and efficient service. Have already recommended (although slightly wish we could keep this special place a secret!).
Ben was an absolute delight he was extremely friendly and pleasant and the experience was great - food amazing and location to die for. Would definitely visit again even the steps back up didn't put us off. Kellie & John (Bella and Charlie)
We had a great night and I left smitten with the place we will def be back thank you
The restaurant itself is in a beautiful setting, the food was good and we enjoyed our visit. However, although the waiters and waitresses were very pleasant, they were not the most attentive, our drinks took 15 minutes to arrive and we had to prompt one of the waiters to get them. When we arrived the restaurant it was quiet so we struggled to see why there was a wait.
My son, daughter in law and myself had a fantastic time in this ‘gem’ of a place. The setting is amazing. We had the ‘best table in the house’ which looked out onto the beach. A lovely young girl was singing throughout the night, very tastefully and not too loud, background music. The food was simply delicious. The staff very friendly. All in all a very enjoyable night. Thank you.
All around excellent, friendly & helpful staff from entry to exit and throughout the evening. No apparent premium added to prices for the more exclusive location. Food was excellent, the atmosphere was excellent, even when the ‘Sundowner Session’ artist was taking a break. All you could ask for for an evening out, looking forward to a return visit. Thanks especially to Crystal & Ben!
We had such a lovely lunch. Good choice on the menu and even the dog had a dinner! Would definitely recommend and will return.
Wanted to visit here for a number of years, I am so glad I did. Information re the car park on the website would be useful (e.g postcode for sat nav) we parked in town and walked 25 mins - worth the walk though !!
We had a fab evening the food was delicious and service efficient and friendly . The singer made for a lovely atmosphere. We have been coming to Lusty Glaze for years and it was one of the nicest evenings we have had . Thank you
We alway visit Lusty glaze when were are on holiday. As ever the food was amazing and the staff were helpful and polite. We always visit on a Wednesday so we can take the dog to Woof Wednesdays where if you make a donation to the local dog charity your pooch gets a lovely meal!! My Labrador loves her visits and I have to say even her meal looked lovely too x
An absolute gem! It would be hard to find a more beautiful setting to watch the sun go down in the UK. We booked at the last minute but the guys were able to accommodate us by putting together ‘the best table’ in the restaurant. The views were incredible, the food delicious and we had the pleasure of listening to Matt Penhaligon play a sundowner acoustic set. One of the best atmospheres I’ve experienced in a long time.
The location and food were amazing! The atmosphere was lovely, especially with the live music too.
Great experience, food and service as always. Only negative was that I had put a request on the booking for us to be sat in a good a table as possible given we have had some health challenges of late and were looking to celebrate these. Instead we we’re put in a corner where the view was obscured by other tables, it was quite dark and behind us was a dirty high chair.
We enjoyed our starters and mains and the dogs enjoyed their dinners. We wanted to have our dessert sat in the marquee but we were told we couldnt do this so we settled the bill and left
Everything was amazing... The breakfast portion however was 'overly generous'.... Majority went to waste Veggie breaky -Two eggs -Two large hash browns -Two large saussages -Two very thick slices of toast -Baked beans -Mushrooms -Spinach -Whole avacado -Whole big tomatoe Please reconsider your portion offering. It was enough for two people, maybe even three.
Amazing restaurant and just magical down on your beach
Totally fabulous visit - food great, doggie dinner great too! Waiter and the table he gave us was wonderful.
We had a lovely meal here on the last might of our holiday. The food was good sized portions, and delicious! The team were all friendly. And the setting was just beautiful. Thank you for a lovely night :)
