About Lunya Manchester
We want Lunya to be a place where anyone who loves good food and drink feels as though they belong. We want people to feel as comfortable when they are eating or drinking here as they would do at home. Like all great restaurants in Spain, we want to be a place where you can come dressed up or casual, however you want. Whether you are a binman, politician, pensioner, mums with babies, stockbroker, everyone belongs and people come here because we are all about the food and drink and a great social environment.
The waiter split a whole glass of wine all over myself and my friend. We were offered some shots of spirits as compensation. I feel it would have been better to have given us the round of drinks for free.
Helpful staff, authentic taste, good service. Go there hungry!
Another great evening introducing some friends to Lunya. They loved it! Our first mid week experience so it was pretty quiet.
Everything was generally very good as we have found on previous visits. This time we came with our two children and we noticed that the children's menu offered a choice of one tapa. On our first visit with the children we seem to remember that the children could choose more than one (although we may be incorrect about that). Anyway we were thinking that it would have been better for them to have been able to have more than just one tapa (maybe doing away with the free drink and ice cream to compensate). Our food was mostly very good as we have found in the past. However, the crispy chicken dish was very bland, potentially under seasoned, and the sauce that accompanied was not to our taste. The bravas we found on this occasion to be a bit underdone also. The calamaris, morcilla bunuelos and the chocolate brownie dessert were excellent.
Food was good no massive complaints, only thing I would say is last time visited the chocolate sauce with the churros was nice and thick, this time it was very watery
Plates of tapes for £10 is expensive and the portion sizes were small. The paella was £34 and only contained squid and prawns. We also told you that it was our anniversary prior to attending but this wasn’t acknowledged at all by staff. The food was nice but it wasn’t any better than tapes we’ve had elsewhere in the UK but was by far the most expensive.
Fantastic service, great food.
Consistent and enjoyable
Dreadful experience the food was presented out of order, the portions were far too small and overpriced and the staff just couldn’t wait to get rid of us as the bill was presented without us even asking or even asking if we wanted a dessert! Will not be booking this restaurant ever again.
Very enjoyable as always. It's nice to be able to sit and chat after the meal, too.
A real reminder of our visits to Catalonia - making us want to revisit both Catalonia and Lunya Friendly , helpful staff and delicious food
Fantastic food and great service, thank you.
Josh was very pleasant and helpful, food was excellent, particularly the lamb fillet
Alex was very friendly and attentive. We had a fantastic time.
The food is incredible and the staff are really friendly and helpful. It is good that they have the deli attached so you can buy products that you like as well. The smoked anchovies in particular are delicious!
Great food, service and atmosphere. We had a great evening. Thank you.
The food was nice, very tasty, there was very little of a Spanish atmosphere and I would have expected Spanish music at least, on at least 2 occasions our food was presented at the wrong table and 2 of our ordered dishes didn't turn up at all. I wouldn't personally go back unless I was dinning in the Deli area as the restaurant wasn't as expected.
Waited 10 mins at the door to be seated only two people ahead of us in the q When seated food and wine was great and the service from then on was great
Very tasty food but distinctly un-generous portion sizes compared to other tapas restaurants we've eaten in.
Tasty as always. Slight miscommunication from our first server re: what was included in a platter, but this was soon sorted, and everything was very nice.
We visited on a Monday evening so the restaurant was fairly quiet - but we got a table by the window which was perfect for people-watching over Deansgate. Eduardo was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was divine, good wine too. One tiny thing - we asked for water when we ordered drinks but this never came so we had to ask again when the food came. Overall, we had an excellent trip to Lunya and would definitely recommend. We were able to use a Manchester Confidential voucher which made it incredible value for money.
Had a lovely time for my boyfriends birthday meal. Loved the sangria and the deli platter!
This was a fantastic meal and experience. One of us was gluten intolerant and the kitchen and waiting staff were fantastic at accommodating this. Food was lovely and we weren’t rushed and could relax and catch up watching Manchester go by beneath the window. Would definitely recommend.
Every dish was delicious. The staff were lovely. Will definitely be going again.
