We are a smaller version of our famous big sister, Lunya, although we have 90 covers inside and 30 covers on our glorious sun terrace, so we are not that small. Serving breakfast (classic Spanish breakfasts and modern British and European ones too. At lunch, thin over-stuffed sandwiches, large deli platters, huevos rotos (posh Spanish egg & chips), lhealthy salads, a daily changing large bowl stew and daily changing soups. In the evening, we go for our relaxed vibe of the best tapas you will find with ever changing fresh daily specials.
We are in a superb location next to the Beatles Story, overlooking the dock on one side and the big wheel on the other. Upstairs, we have a fabulous champagne terrace where you can graze and watch life on the dock.
We are on two floors with a staircase leading to the first floor. Toilets are on the first floor. Our guests have access to Albert Dock's disabled toilets which are about a 20 metre walk, under cover in the colonnade
Lovely to be able to visit again. Food was good as usual, service was brilliant. The staff really helpful and friendly.
Great service. Food was excellent and great views and atmosphere. Planning to go again.
This would definitely be somewhere I’d recommend people to eat! The food is excellent and service is outstanding. Nathan in particular was fantastic and was a major reason we were able to enjoy the evening as we did. We’ll definitely be going back!
Staff are really lovely. It was just a shame our dishes came out straggled over 30 minutes, and one of the dishes were forgotten (4 plates of the same dish), so everything else went cold. Nice food, shame about this mishap which ruined it a little for us. Would still visit again, but maybe not for a special occasion next time :-/
Excellent service from staff. Value for money and great food.
We had a fantastic meal, thank you to everyone. The only downside was the churros which I think (?) were not dusted with sugar and cinnamon, and sadly were not at the same high standard as the dinner. Everything else was delicious and the service was extremely friendly and caring. I can imagine how demanding it must be for the whole team in these Covid times with extra sanitising and distancing; many thanks for keeping the show on the road and serving some truly fabulous plates of food with a smile.
It was great to be back at Lunyalita! The service from everyone was fantastic. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was second to none. This was a really special evening! Thank you!
Fabulous as always.
All staff were lovely, young blond girl and lad, both super friendly and professional, it was our 1st time back in a restaurant and felt very safe and welcoming. Thank you.
A very enjoyable evening, the food was really enjoyable and the staff very friendly me helpful.
Amazing experience. Food was fabulous as always and all the staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
Fabulous evening, will be returning
Great to have Spanish tapas, selection of Spanish beers and sherry selection
Food portions are ridiculously small for the price. 1 small chicken thigh for £7/8? Especially in comparison to other local tapas a restaurants. ‘Wild mushrooms’ were not wild mushrooms but were rather tasteless chestnut mushrooms. Arancini balls were completely bland. Overall completely disappointed with the food and would not return or recommend.
Our waitress was fabulous however our food was quite poor.
loved our visit thankyou - we will be back
The most incredible range of dishes, the menu was clearly explained and every meal was of outstanding quality. Cannot wait to return.
Very lovely food and lovely staff but staff weren’t always that attentive! That took nothing away from the meal and the hospitality though.
Service could have been a little faster as the staff forgot about my dessert, but they were all really busy and working hard so it is understandable. The staff were all friendly, and I enjoyed my food. They took my allergy seriously and made me feel confident. It was well worth the trip up from Manchester and I will hopefully return again.
First visit and had a lovely eve. Staff were extremely friendly and the manager on duty was great. He was obviously wearing many hats on the night but did really well without jeopardising the level of service. Happy with our experience and will revisit
A little noisy as sat by the kitchen, but absolutely stunning food and drink. We will be back for sure.
Friendly helpful staff. Restaurant seemed very clean and tables well spaced out. Delicious food and huge portions. Good value on the eat out to help out scheme.
We had breakfast in the outside seating area overlooking the dock.Food and service were great and all safety precautions were taken. We will definitely be returning. Peter- you should be very proud of your team.
Absolutely fantastic! I would urge anybody who is unsure of going to eat out again after lockdown has eased to please go to Lunya/ Lunyalita. They have it nailed in terms of social distancing and hygiene measures. Fabulous food, fabulous service and despite the fact they have had to compromise on the number of tables they can have in the restaurant, it did not have an effect on the lovely atmosphere. If you are unsure, try Lunyalita (I imagine it’s the same in Lunya!). We booked to go back before leaving! Salt and pepper squid is a must!
