We are a smaller version of our famous big sister, Lunya, although we have 90 covers inside and 30 covers on our glorious sun terrace, so we are not that small. Serving breakfast (classic Spanish breakfasts and modern British and European ones too. At lunch, thin over-stuffed sandwiches, large deli platters, huevos rotos (posh Spanish egg & chips), lhealthy salads, a daily changing large bowl stew and daily changing soups. In the evening, we go for our relaxed vibe of the best tapas you will find with ever changing fresh daily specials.
We are in a superb location next to the Beatles Story, overlooking the dock on one side and the big wheel on the other. Upstairs, we have a fabulous champagne terrace where you can graze and watch life on the dock.
We are on two floors with a staircase leading to the first floor. Toilets are on the first floor. Our guests have access to Albert Dock's disabled toilets which are about a 20 metre walk, under cover in the colonnade
Service was much slower than expected despite not being busy. When we wanted to order drinks and desert there was no one available to take the order; We were sat upstairs but there was no staff upstairs at the time and didn’t seem to appear for a long time!! Once ordered the drinks then took a long time to come to the table. We then had to go downstairs to ask for the bill, as there was no staff around again. When purchasing goods from the deli counter, again we had to approach a member of the staff to pay for goods despite waiting at the till! Food was good though
Excellent service, delicious food and friendly atmosphere.
Great food. Highly recommended. Shame they didn’t have the specials that were shown on the specials board. Sold out by lunch time?
Excellent food, excellent service. It can be hard to find really good Tapas. Lunyalita is a great exception
Great food and lovely staff. Would definitely recommend.
Unlike other tapas bars we have been to the dishes did not all come out at once but individually which gave us the opportunity to really taste the different dishes, most of which we had not tasted before.Great food and friendly efficient service.
Excellent service and food
We reserved a table for two at Lunyalita and we’re seated quickly. We were taken upstairs where the atmosphere was quiet and a bit boring compared to downstairs. Considering we booked a table weeks in advance, and upstairs was half empty, we were seated in the middle of the room, squashed between other small tables. It would’ve been nice to be given priority near the window to enjoy the view of the docks. The waitresses were all very nice and friendly. We ordered huevos rotos and iberico ribs which were delicious, and then mixed paella which was nice but the tapas was better. The wait for drinks was very long, both times we waited over 20 minutes for our drink order. We enjoyed our meal, but wouldn’t rush back in a hurry.
We arrived early for our table for 3 on Bank Holiday Monday. We were sat upstairs where there was only one other table taken, not an issue but clearly demonstrates that they were not busy. After studying the drinks menu we had to wait a while to get someone's attention to order drinks. We were then told that they only had one draught beer out of the three on the menu. Then only had rose Cava, not white for my daughter. It then took 10 to 15 mins to actually bring the drinks. After one pint for me and my son they ran out of draught beer all together. We ordered 9 dishes. Some were luke warm, some piping hot. Quality was ok at best, but quite obviously microwaved. We had to chase the last dish - fries, chorizo and fried egg and it eventually arrived 15mins after we'd finished everything else...complete with hard yolk!! A disappointing £96 spent. Pity really as we used to love the original place in Liverpool One.
Great food with a great view. Kitchen closes a little early at 8:30
Delicious food and lovely location. Would definitely recommend Lunyalita.
Over priced for what we got. The tasting banquet at £27 a head for two people was barely enough for one person.6 courses was less than what was advertised. The service was appalling. The wrong wine was on briught to the table, then the right one but already opened. The first came quickly, but there was a 50 minute gap between that and the next ones as we'd been forgotten.
Most probably a bit too expensive value for money
Food was lovely and the quiz was great fun. Once Melissa became our waitress the service improved vastly but to begin with it was very slow, and the other waitresses were abrupt, slow, unattentive and brought the wrong drinks.
enjoyed lunchtime Tapas. Staff ere friendly and the food was excellent
Very friendly atmosphere in a lovely setting overlooking the Albert Dock. We had a wide range of dishes between six of us; all the food was excellent and we especially enjoyed the parsnips.
Booked a party upstairs here recently. Great night, excellent service, Brad was amazingly helpful with choosing the right food and drinks packages for our group. Highly recommended and can't wait to return.
We attended sherry tasting In the beautiful upstairs room. Ian Lunya’s general manager in Hanover Street, is very knowledgeable and gave lots of information about the delicious cherries. With delicious food to go with them.
Lovely evening spent here. Thanks
Gorgeous food as always, delightful setting and great service! Keep up the good work!
Always enjoy Lunya in Liverpool and Manchester so had a lovely time experiencing the Gourmet Night and the extra twists from Chef Fran Aparicio across the 6 course menu. Lunyalita provides a gorgeous venue looking out over the water. A pleasant, relaxed and informative evening of great food and wine for hubby’s birthday!
There was no sangria and the bread had run out by 7.30 p.m. Our waitress did not fully understand all our our requests due to language barriers and was quite abrupt.
Served very quickly despite being busy. Mix up over drinks sorted without a problem. Would good again.
Service was very slow even though we had pre ordered our dishes, it took a total of 2 hours for a lunch, various dishes where missing off the order. Dishes came out at separate times meaning that people where all eating different times and often waiting for another dish to arrive.
