About Love Lane Brewery (Formerly Tap & Still)
In the very heart of Liverpool, L1, Love Lane Brewery Kitchen and Bar offers a unique experience. We have our own brewery, distillery, bars and tasting room complemented by food inspired by beer halls all over the world and simply cooked using local & quality ingredients...
Explore the fascinating story and heritage of Liverpool’s historic Higson’s with our brewery tour.
Discover how we make the famous Higson’s beers, just a stone’s throw from where it was once brewed.
Hear how a brewery founded in 1780 became one of the most significant names in brewing heritage, see the story of a famous brand and try it for yourself.
Thanks - whole experience was brilliant. Will be back.
Nicely renovated and laid out building, good meal, pleasant atmosphere., would have preferred table ordering but didn't detract too much ..well worth a try
Such a good experience! The beer tour was interesting and Mikey was lovely (and it helps the beer is amazing!)
Excellent brewery tour, great tasting beers - enjoyed every minute
First visit since change of name. No longer table service. Food was nice but not as nice as previous visits. Multiple menu items and drinks not available. No soap or toilet rolls in toilets. Unfortunately did not enjoy as much as previous when tap and still. Is it different ownership? Disappointing this time.
Great relaxing night. Good food and live music along with perfect pints.
nice meal & good selection of beer about 15 on tap &bottles&can in fridges good service look forwared to coming back
Pleasant evening spent celebrating our anniversary. Attentive staff and special thanks to Xavier for waiting our table. Would recommend and intend to visit with friends in the near future.
Excellent food and drinks for a first time visit. Will return
Had a great night at Love Lane brewery! Fantastic beers and food and excellent service!!
The fact that you brew on site it was disappointing that on arrival only 1 out of four cask pumps was on . After asking about it , another beer was added but still 50% were not on . It’s a great place and I’ll be back but I would recommend a trip to Hawkshead Brewery. They have a full bar of beers on all the time . The empty cask pumps really shouldn’t happen in a brewery
The food was once again very good but the service was awful. We arrived and had to find our own table. We ordered at the bar because nobody acknowledged our arrival. Starter came quickly but then the roast took an hour to arrive. We ordered cheese afterwards, after 30 minutes of waiting we cancelled it, paid and left. Massively let down by the service.
It was my birthday treat off my brother, couldn’t have gone better. I’m recently disabled so can be anxious going to new places so when I rang to make sure it was disabled friendly I was reassured. It was perfect. Will be going again.
I was really impressed with the quality of the food served, as were my companions. The drinks were also interesting and very enjoyable. This was the first session of service for the new Spring menu, so it was understandably a little slow, but I am sure that this won’t be an issue going forward. A really enjoyable night.
Excellent Sunday lunch menu with a nice choice of beautiful craft beers brewed on site, all for a very reasonable price. Take in the brewery tour as well and it’s the perfect Sunday afternoon.
Excellent tour and very good food with quick and friendly service
Great space, friendly welcome, delicious food and love the marshmallow gin !!
great, place, service and cool decor.
The place had a really nice vibe and a relaxed friendly atmosphere . Loved my marshmallow gin ! Food and staff great . Will definitely come again . Many thanks 👍
Beef brisket and the black pudding and pear salad were wonderful 😃
Such a fun experience to do with friends. Learnt lots from our fab host and got to try new gins and flavours.
Nice tour, very relaxed. Nice to have the 3 beer tastings at the end, and a pint too - I didn’t know this was part of the tour so was a nice surprise.
Quiet at lunchtime - but lovely lunch - small plates hit the spot - love the sausage rolls!! Couple of nice Love Lane DDH’s and thankfully didn’t have to go back to work! Good Wi Fi!
All 7 of use had a good informed tour and food was top notch
Took nephew & his girlfriend for lunch & we had a great time. Good atmosphere with good background music and the roasts were tasty and really good value. Beef was the best, pork pretty good and the chicken & mushroom pie was delicious. The best bit was the sticky toffee pudding / only two between 4 people - grave error - we all wished we had had one each. Love Lane Mango IPA was really good and the DDH was fabulous and did not drink 5.8% abv. Keen to return soon!
