Consistently great food and excellent service!
Fantastic all round experience. Cannot be faulted.
Stay and spa fantastic Service shocking waited a hour on our food 2 burgers which after a hr we walked out of resturant with no food as people were coming in after us and being served wasted our whole day staff brought our meal to room which just killed the feeling of dinning out DISAPPOINTED !!!
3rd time in restaurant and hotel. Will look forward to the next time too
Lovely dining experience as always though did have a bit of a wait for our main course. We were given 2 complimentary drinks to make up for this though.
Staff were ok but I’ve never been hunted down the way i was after my dinner to sign for a bar bill when I was in the lounge drinking on in lounge rather embarrassing and degrading think I was going to do a runner for a £45 bar bill👎🏻👎🏻
Great food and drink. Service was fab. Only thing was that tables were quite close together so not very private but everything else was brilliant.
Everything was lovely from the welcome to the food to the staff - we could not fault anything and really look forward to returning. Have already recommended to so many friends and family !
First class service and very well presented food, an ideal meal in pleasant surroundings
Service on the Thurs was attrotious !!!! After asking 3 times for our wine.....it was finally dumped unceremoniously in the centre of the table unopened and unpoured and after we had finished our starters.......Fri night was a little better but still not up to lochsides usual high standards !!!! Breakfast service was as good as ever .......complimented by the ever wonderful and enthusiastic morag
Food was outstanding with plenty of choice from a couple of menus! Plenty of options at the bar as well! Special mention to the chefs for two fantastically cooked dishes, exactly as we asked and to our waiter, James, nothing was any trouble at all for him. All the waiting staff appeared to be at the top of their game and we weren’t bothered by anyone one any more than was required! Would defiantly come back... and soon!
The best sirloin steak I have tasted in years will definitely back again
Very nice hotel with good food and facilities.
Had an overnight stay with a spa deal, the spa was amazing staff were all lovely and helpful so relaxing couldn’t fault it. We then went for lunch which was an experience the food was beautiful but the service is really bad not very attentive, then later for dinner was very much the same experience food was amazing for having the deal we got for the overnight stay was a great choice and food was perfect but the service staff let it down again.. we stayed for some cocktails in the bar/lounge area had a few cocktails but ended up going to our rooms as there was nb atmosphere and the staff couldn’t be bothered to be honest with my party having to go up and ask at the bar every time for service as the bar man/ waitress weren’t really interested in the customers.. breakfast til was an all together wonderful experience we loved it service was amazing can’t remember the older lady’s name but she was lovely and so warm couldn’t do enough for us, she made the stay and the breakfast was really really good and lots of it and lots of choice..
Lovely time , great tasty food in lovely surroundings
Regular visitor but service on Sunday 19th January fell short of Lochside’s standard
Will give you feedback after Victoria Wilson gets back to me 're the way we were treated in your hotel
This is the 2nd time we have dined in the Afton restaurant when we have stayed at Lochside. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is lovely, and the portions are a good size. I would recommend the restaurant. I would also like to thank Moira who does breakfast, she made everyone that came into the restaurant welcome and made sure you knew where everything was for breakfast.
Booked for afternoon tea for 2.30. Food wasnt at table till 3.10 and no one came to say sorry for the wait. All other tables seemed to have very slow service too. Food was ok brown bread wasnt very fresh. Cakes were nice.
First visit. Very impressed and will definitely return. Robyn at reception desk was extremely welcoming and helpful. Restaurant food delicious and overall fantastic value for money. Look forward to next visit 😄
Lovely restaurant with great service, also wheelchair friendly which makes dining out much more relaxing.
Staff very polite and helpful- meal was delicious as usual
Lovely late lunch. Good value and beautiful setting.
