About Afton Restaurant at Lochside House Hotel
Set within 20 acres of land, overlooking the Loch of the Lowes and with the nearby Creoch in sight, the hotel boasts magnificent views of the surrounding Ayrshire countryside. The individual and welcoming hotel with private grounds invites you to discover Burns country, and view the landscape that inspired his poetry.
Very good organisation in hotel to deal with the effects of Covid-19. Staff were well kitted out with masks and we're very efficient.
Couldn’t fault anything ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Was lovely to be back at Lochside after a long time away. Staff were as friendly as ever and very cautious of social distancing. Made us feel welcome and safe. Food was lovely as usual and we did enjoy some drinks too :-)
Fantastic food served in comfortable restaurant, with great views of the loch. Staff can't do enough for you, a perfect place to visit.
Lovely settings , good food staff very friendly and helpful , also they all had their face masks on and kept their social distances we felt very safe .
The food was amazing. Service was great!
Another lovely lunch at Lochside . Many thanks.
It did take some time for our afternoon tea to be served but I appreciate there may be restrictions in the kitchen because of the current situation. There was a lovely atmosphere in the function room and the tables were far enough apart to ensure distancing but it never felt too spaced out. Thanks and well done
Brilliant lunch with brilliant service. Highly recommend
I knew from past experience that this was a great facility but the meal and service , especially under covid restrictions , could not have been any better . Great service from very friendly and attentive staff . Can’t wait to revisit
First night of a 3 night stay in hotel. Dinner choice on DBB package very good. The meals we had were cooked to perfection and served by very friendly and attentive staff.
Food was outstanding but ended up having to take our dessert to the lodge as time was marching. Even then, staff didn’t listen to what we were saying. Understand that staffing is limited due to circumstances but felt service was slow even taking that into consideration.
Great menu selection, was so hard to choose! Food delish! Service very friendly X
Our 2nd experience with my wife at Lochside and they say first impressions are the most important for me it has improved every time staff where lovely place is beautiful and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal compliments to chef
Had a lovely time at the lochside hotel as usual, staff very efficient in all aspects, nice friendly atmosphere, coped will in the present climate, would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone, lovely surroundings overall a great experience
Food was lovely but service was very slow. We were there for around two and a half hours
The food and service were both very good. The cocktails were nice too.
First family meal out since lockdown. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, food was delicious and service was great.
Good hygiene and social distancing observed
Very enjoyable experience, staff very friendly, excellent menu with gteat variety of food on offer. Presentation of food was excellent. Certainly will return.
