About Loch Melfort Hotel
Stunning sea views with relaxed, attentive service and quality food, freshly prepared using Scottish ingredients, all cooked from scratch, mostly coming from within a 20 mile radius.
Choose whether you sit outside or inside when you make your reservation - enjoy a relaxing lunch on our heated terrace overlooking the sea, or join us in the cosy lounge bar with fire for a pre-dinner cocktail, beer, Scottish gin or whisky.
What a beautiful setting to have dinner with really lovely staff. Our starters were good but Unfortunately my fish was over cooked. The breakfast was really good - great choice and all freshly prepared.
Cannot fault anything. Accommodation, restuarant , hotel setting all excellent.
Lovely hotel, good staff, great food and wonderful views.
Amazing food and great service. Spectacular views to go with.
Wonderful stay at Loch Melfort hotel, staff could not have been more accommodating or professional. Food & location fabulous. Stunning views from our private deck. Genuinely pet friendly with dogs made to feel very welcome! Cannot recommend highly enough, this was first trip away since the end of lockdown and it exceeded all of our expectations! Thanks to the wonderful team who made that possible!
We love this hotel. Excellent service. Friendly staff and owners. Our favourite hotel
Only given 3 stars for atmosphere as the Chart room was not available. The alternative was comfortable but not as open and relaxed.
Brilliant food and service with a wonderful view.
a lovely wee night away - amazing!!!
Friendly, warm hotel. Great fresh food. Fabulous service.
Lovely hotel with stunning views. Great breakfast. Friendly staff.
Our daughters wedding could not have been any better, anywhere else. The service and atmosphere were excellent. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done .
A delight as ever.
Excellent location, service and food - will definitely be back
Could not fault a single thing.
Very friendly staff, spotlessly clean rooms, nice food, will be back soon
The refurbishment undertaken has taken the hotel to a new level and we thoroughly enjoyed the new surroundings.
Sadly we were disappointed with the standards set. In their defense it was possibly due to Covid restrictions however that said, I emailed on 3 occasions intimating it was my wife's special birthday and could we bring a cake. On arrival not even a mention of the occasion. Not even during our full stay. Every drinks order taken had to be re served due to mistakes. On the night of her birthday we waited one and a half hours for our main course and still waiting , eventually we walked out. Staff were friendly but lacked the professional touches we expected. The scenery makes the hotel. Points to look for, dust in reception entrance. Having to ask for towels and loo roll ( we accept covid restrictions) Consider leaving fresh towels and loo roll out side each room in a sealed poly bag. Possibly we were unlucky but sadly let down. We would recommend this location for views but not for that special touch .
Wonderful location, good food and friendly service make for an excellent stay
Staff were very welcoming and efficient.Would definitely stay there again.
My first proper meal out since the start of COVID. It was my birthday and I enjoyed every moment of it including having our predinner drink under our umbrella in the hail. The food was delicious worth waiting over a year for. Our waiter from Peru was a delight, nothing was too much trouble for him. It was quite special for us as we had visited his home town and had happy memories. I must congratulate you on the work that you have done to make everything COVID safe. We loved the new lay out. Many thanks
Really wonderful food. Beautiful view. Attentive staff.
Could not fault anything about our stay at Loch Melfort Hotel. Found the staff very warm and friendly. Food first class. Beautiful view of sea from our room.
After lock down service needs working at, but a great stay as always, fantastic location and local produce
I would have expected better service for the price paid. All staff were nice however I think there was a failure in how they were organised, resulting in communication breakdowns. Even though it seemed there was a lot of staff on, none seemed to be working in the restaurant much or around for attention. It took one hour, with two reminders to receive drinks ordered and have our water filled again. It also took 45 minutes between courses. The food was nice but not not nice enough for the price paid and lacking in seasoning. The main reason I would recommend to anyone is for the view. I know these can be teething problems with things opening up again but there is so much potential. I think it would be better to have staff assigned to sections rather than roles for service. Would help with the communication failure. Good luck and I hope you take the feedback on board.
