About Loch Fyne Oyster Bar,Scotland
The original Oyster Bar and Farm Shop started in a small shed in the lay-by at the head of Loch Fyne in the early 80’s, then in 1988 moved into the old cow byre at Clachan Farm. The thick stone walls of the original building have seen politicians, celebrities, film stars, royalty and visitors from far and wide pass between them. Inside décor and furnishings have evolved from what was initially an indoor picnic area to a restaurant equipped to equal standards found in cosmopolitan locations.
Delicious seafood & friendly service in lovely surroundings - perfect!
We have eaten several times over the last 10 years or so and have always been more than happy with both the food and the service
A lovely birthday lunch as usual - a while since I have been but always so good to be back!
Excellent Scottish seafood that doesn’t disappoint. It’s a must to stop off and enjoy the fruits of the sea at this lovely restaurant.
Enjoyed our visit a lot...
great ingredients, solid cooking
Excellent scallop and mussels
Great food and excellent service
After driving by this restaurant many times, we had a lovely late lunch. Both the staff and the food were amazing, and if you love seafood, you will love this place. Can’t wait for a return visit.
Good food as always
Quite slow service initially whenever first sat down. My partner wasn't feeling too well unfortunately and needed some tap water. I ask 3 different servers for some tap water while we were sat at the table to no avail - I ended up walking up to the bar to speak to one of the same waiting staff whom I asked before who was just clearing away glasses. However, after we finally got some water and my partner was feeling better, we had a very enjoyable meal. The scallops main was to die for! I worked in many loch fyne restaurants before it was bought out, and loved my time there - it's been 10 years since I left and I have made a dream come true by coming to the place it all started - the place I always saw in pictures in all the restaurants I worked in, and many more I still visit. Thank you
Nice food, great service
an amazing experience ,i would highly recommend to everyone to visit ,will definitely return as soon as possible ,thank you so much for making our visit very memorable.
Excellent produce, well prepared
Lovely ambience Friendly service Fantastic langoustines! The best fish and chips!
Unfortunately the power cut shortened our visit but we’ll be back!
We visit nearly every year we are in Scotland and always lovely but this year it was really terrific - so, so fresh, beautifully cooked and with the usual smiling, friendly service - see you next October!
A fantastic meal with great attention to detail where nothing was too much trouble for the staff, would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you to everyone who prepared and served our meal it was extraordinary. David
As expected - Excellence in all things!
This was the quickest 3 course meal I have ever been served. When we arrived at 4 oclock as per reservation we were shown to our table by the server who began telling us about the menu before we got our coats off or even pulled our chairs out to sit. We soon discovered why - everyone seemed in a rush to get out. This is the first time we have ever sat eating our meal while the place was closing all around us. When I booked on-line it mentioned we had 2 hours to have a meal. We were out by 5 o’clock. From the time we ordered our first course to the time we were finished it took 45 mins.
Very good but pricey staff are very good
Another wonderful meal at our favourite restaurant in the whole of Scotland. Only one small quibble - the quality of the bread served at the start of the meal. It’s white and pappy and tasteless. Perhaps we came on a bad day?
My wife was disappointed to find the risotto was off, she as so looking forward to that
Delicious food in a beautiful location. Well worth the drive.
