Beautiful food and great friendly service. Although I would have liked a little more savoury/sandwich selection. Bakes and cakes absolutely amazing. Took leftovers home :)
Excellent afternoon , superb cream tea -
visit regularly and always enjoy food and atmosphere. usually find that if an event is being held at same time service can be a little slower but still good and always very courteous.
Absolutely amazing meal. Can't wait to get married here in 4 weeks
The only downside was having 2 leave the conservatory and go outside, back through reception to get to the toilet with my grandmother in the wheelchair. Not a problem today as weather beautiful but would be unpleasant in rain/cold weather.
Salad mains were a bit small and we were hungry after the meal.
had a smashing sunday lunch. already booked again
The quality of the prawn cocktail starter was very poor very few prawns lots of lettuce. The service was very poor took around 2.5 hours which with a small baby was not ideal. Had to ask twice for bread for the table. Vegetable portion small for table if 3. Ordered extra which took a while to come. Service overall was very poor.
Lovely Sunday lunch, was a little bit slow with the service, but guess as there was a wedding at the hotel it was busy. A bit dissapointed with the dessert choice, had the cheesecake but it was quite stodgy and sounded nicer that it tasted. On saying that was still a lovely meal.
I have had many afternoon teas and have not had to complain about any, however the room we were put in had no atmosphere, we were the only ones in there, there wasnt even any background music. When the food came out I had to ask for more sandwiches, there were 6 small fingers between 2 grown adults. I took my parents there for their golden wedding anniversary and can only say we were all very disappointed. The waitress was lovely. I would not rate it to friends.
Some background music would be nice
Lounge quiet and soothing - restaurant noisy and characterless. Excellent service but food, whilst tasty, was very poor value for money. Vegetarian main of stuffed pasta at £15 comprised 3 small ravioli on plate......Chicken main was just that...a piece of chicken.....and sides were all extra. Very meagre, overpriced meals. Won't be back!
We attended for our wedding menu tasting. The food was amazing and the service was good.
Amazing food, couldn't fault the staff very friendly and helpful
Wonderful service, the staff were genuinely lovely. The food was great and tasted fresh. Would highly recommend and will be booking again
Great service and food quality within wonderful surroundings
Service was shocking will not return
Staff friendly everyone worked so hard to make sure our family Father’s Day lunch was memorable.
Great service, fab food and good value for money.
A very pleasant afternoon. Lovely surroundings and great food.
We had a lovely time for a friends bridal lunch! Service was great. My only comment would be that the menu needs more vegetarian options if possible e.g. a veggie burger
Not recommended for a lunch. Just simple dishes with chips like at McDonald's. Drink like martini is presented in a water glass. Probably never seen a James Bond movie. The chairs were wobbly It was just a young woman who served us. She was very nice and polite, but the food we wanted she couldn't offer us. A la carte is only available at night.
Fab place for lunch and reasonably priced
