Fantastic Setting Very Peaceful Great Food
Young man who served us was extremely helpful.
The quality, variety and quantity of cakes offered was poor. The savoury offering was dull. The staff were great and the hotel stunning, but spoiled by poor afternoon tea which was not good value for money. Would not recommend to friends and family sadly.
This is the 4th time we've stayed and dined, another great experience, relaxed environment, beautiful surroundings, great service. We'll be back
Thank you for making our stay so special. Everything was great. My only comment would be to perhaps play some different music at dinner as I found the current music somewhat depressing. This may of course be to do with my age rather than my standard of taste in music. Thank you again
We have had a wonderful few days here - away from everything and everyone. It is so perfect in every way. The staff are so helpful and always have a smile on their face. We will definitely be coming back at some point in the near future. Thank you all for making our stay so lovely.
We enjoyed our meal very much. My wife's main course needed to be hotter. We were the only people there, so not quite the same atmosphere as if others had been there. We feel the wine by glass price really is very expensive for a 125ml serving.
A beautiful place for a break during these very trying times. I would very much like to make a suggestion regarding the lack of any form of grab rail in the shower and on the bath. I feel it is essential that these should be fitted as a matter of course as they are in the majority of hotels and I should imagine there would be many guests who rely on them.
We had such a wonderful afternoon tea, absolutely fabulous and would definitely recommend.
Very enjoyable stay and highly recommend
Considering social distancing etc we had a great 3 days at Llangoed Hall. Highly recommended
Llangoed Hall is a real treat. Beautiful hall, incredible art, large comfortable rooms and delicious food. And set in one of the most beautiful parts of Wales
Enjoyable stay, delicious food highly recommend!
We had an amazing time at Llangoed Hall everything from service, room and food were excellent. Would definitely recommend as luxury break.
Llangoed is a wonderful building and has really grand interior spaces furnished and decorated in style with lovely paintings and furnishings. It's really special. Our room was a state room on the front which we have occupied on a previous stay. Along with the rest of the building it really is a fabulous room. Dinner was excellent and considering the latest restrictions, there was minimal disruption and we felt well spaced and safe. All staff were friendly and polite and the whole stay was brilliant, finished off with a very tasty breakfast in the dining room. We love it and for occasions or just for a bit of luxury, then this is the place. Yes it's traditional but it's a fantastic and classy place.Lovely gardens and a great walk down to the river at the back of the hotel too.In a word Fantastic!
Thank you for a very pleasant afternoon. Very relaxing and enjoyable , just what we needed. Hope to pay you a further visit soon , maybe a three day break. Special thanks to your very friendly and professional Staff. Well done Llangoed.
Lovely location and afternoon tea was delicious.
A new experience for my wife and myself - much enjoyed - many thanks. Richard Phillips Brecon
My only 'negative' is that the food servings could have been more generous as I left the table feeling I could have eaten more and when we arrived we had no idea where to check in although I do appreciate Covid has made everything way more difficult. Perhaps a sign at then entrance to advise would be useful. Otherwise everything was lovely particularly the staff who were welcoming, friendly and very polite
As always food was exceptional, drink was not as expected. When questioned about a soft drink not being available the reason given was the manager was away so supplies were short!! This was evident as the overall service was not up to par either, staff were obviously run off their feet, check in was slightly rushed (we were not informed about the new billing system and only found out by being told by another guest). This is not acceptable for a 5* hotel, if you cannot run a hotel without a manager you should not be opened or at least let customers have the choice and supplement it in the price.
Great food and great service in the difficult circumstances of Covid. My only criticism is value for money especially when you add a gratuity without any reference to it at time of booking or on the menu - makes it an extremely expensive meal
This is my second favourite hotel, with Portmeirion my first. This was the third occasion I stayed here. Beautiful comfortable rooms, full of comfort & character. The building and grounds are fabulous, with far reaching breathtaking views. All very well maintained. Staying here is a special experience and the hotel Team are friendly and very accommodating. They make you feel like you are very welcome & cared for. Highly recommended
The breakfast is wonderful, with varied choices for cooked, continental and healthy. The breakfast rooms are very spacious, comfortable & contemporary. The service is professional yet friendly.
Fantastic food. This latest chef is a big improvement from the one about 7 years ago. Now more on a par with Portmeirion.
