Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location with exemplary food and service.
Your hotel is beautiful. Your food is great but your service is absolutely terrible. The only person who has any sense of service is Sam. If he’s not at your hotel, the service is abysmal at best. It is such a shame because I would never recommend your hotel to another simply based on the lack of service. Every night my husband had to wait more than an hour for a drink. Breakfast service is an absolute nightmare.
Breakfast was very slow arriving. We appreciate the lower staffing levels, and the difficulties that Covid regulations have imposed, but thought that a wait of 50 minutes for 2 full Welsh breakfasts, without toast or a refill of coffee being offered was too much.
Lovely place to stay. Everyone so friendly & helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Food is lovely. Rooms are gorgeous So good we’re having our wedding there! Thanks everyone
Disappointed that 7 course dinner was unavailable. Choices on menu were unexciting and execution ok but far below standard expected. Paid for 2 nights, stayed for 1, nobody asked why?
A lovely hotel in traditional country house style. We had a comfortable and relaxed visit at a difficult time (Coronavirus pandemic). Staff were friendly and attentive, nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Food was excellent. We had afternoon tea, sampled the lounge menu and also ate in the restaurant. All were of excellent quality.
We would love to come back when the hotel is busy as coronavirus had put somewhat of a dampener on everything.Considering the circumstances all the staff did a wonderful job!
Very friendly, nothing too much trouble
Had a wonderful one night stay to celebrate my Husbands Birthday, Attention to detail AMAZING! Thank you
Really loved the artwork on display, the furniture, the setting - everything worked together to create a great atmosphere. And of course the food, drink and service was excellent.
Couldn’t fault it
A very enjoyable afternoon tea in a beautiful setting. The food was expertly presented and we had a superb host who met us at the entrance. This was our 3rd visit but our first afternoon tea and we will return.
Delicious food and excellent service. Would highly recommend.
Very pleased, great food, delightful staff. Thanks very much we look forward to coming back.
The welcome and service we received was excellent after our arrival. This continued throughout our entire stay at Llangoed Hall. The room was recently refurbished and was first class. The evening meal and service was faultless. We had a really great time, thankyou
Everything was wonderful, the service brilliant, the food outstanding, the location marvelous, the room magnificent. My wife felt she was treated like a. Princess. Only very minor points, overall a little too warm (easily solved by opening window), and more menu choices needed for a longer stay.
Beautiful surroundings , attentive staff and excellent afternoon tea . A perfect day .
A wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. The icing on the cake was meeting Sam Bowser your new chef. The food was sublime and en par with food we have experienced in Michelin restaurants. A superb, innovative taster menu was devine! have not stopped recommending you to all my friends and family.
Will definitely be back. Our experience was wonderful. Loved your rice pudding soufflé with rhubarb and white chocolate!
Bit confusing on the different wine lists. As in, got given small booklet to book wine, ordered rose £27 and red Malbec Las Palmas £29 to have with dinner on Saturday night. A bit surprised in morning when charged £82?
I had a lovely afternoon with my mum and sister. Llangoed Hall is a beautiful building in a beautiful setting. We had afternoon tea with bubbles, which was delicious along with a variety of teas and coffee. Very relaxed atmosphere and staff were very attentive, polite and friendly. Would definately recommend a visit.
It would help if one could spell my surname correctly. Very weak coffee at breakfast which was undrinkable, so asked for stronger brew which was supplied. Some areas smelt a bit musty which was quite surprising for a hotel of this quality..
We loved it! Comfortable, relaxed, friendly, attentive & of course superb food. We’ll be back when it’s dry enough for a game of croquet.
Few Comments 1- Appalled by food hygiene rating of a 1 had I know this would not have booked. 2- Customer service started off very good but then petered out to the point we had to wait 10 minutes to find someone to give our vouchers too. 3- On several occasions I asked if anyone wanted to see our vouchers but the answer was no, had the vouchers been taken the staff they would have know we had booked for the Laura Ashley full afternoon tea because of this we had to ask for our glass of Elderflower champagne to reply from waiters oh your having that one.
A lovely two night stay. Very relaxing with attentive staff and beautiful surroundings. We loved the building, the decoration, with attention to detail like the flowers and the fragrance diffusers which were stunning. We would return tomorrow.
