About Llangoed Hall
Open 7 days a week.
booking in advance recommended.
Certainly one of the best in Wales never disappoints looking forward to our next visit
Llangoed Hall is a truly beautiful place to stay, we had a warm welcome from the staff as we drove up and parked the car. We were shown to a very spacious room looking out to the countryside and the surrounding hills, it has very pleasant gardens to walk round. Inside the rooms are all very neat and tidy it also has a snooker table. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommended.
The hotel is lovely and the food is good and the staff friendly. The alcoholic drinks are unnecessarily expensive and these prices should be reviewed. Overall we had a great experience.
We felt the drinks/wine were overpriced. We felt the snack menu was unimaginative and also would have preferred the choice of a traditional light supper menu. For example cheese and biscuits at a realistic price. A guest lift would be a great asset. On the plus side Sunday lunch was an absolute delight!
Difficult as I love Llangoed Hall but our table and two adjoining ones had to send back dirty plates, at the adjacent table waiter put the cake stand down, some slipped off onto table which he picked up (bare hands) and put back! Sandwiches were fine but not very inspiring -eg plain ham on white bread, curried chicken? But cakes/pastries were wonderful . Would have preferred to be in sitting room rather than 'echoey' garden room - all that said it was a good tea and I would come back and try again..
Lovely grounds, lovely service and delicious food. Excellent!
Both the food and service were excellent. The staff were there and attentive when you needed them yet invisible when you didn't …. I really don't know how they do that!
We are coming again next week
An amazing place to stay for a short break. Worth every single penny. Everything was perfect from check in to check out and everything in between.
Enjoyed an evening meal with tasting menu and good wine choice. Tried to book a table using online diary on website but it didn't work, I was able to book by phone and at very short notice for a weekday evening. Hotel was reported to be busy but staff found a quiet spot for us to have a pre dinner drink. Looking forward to returning to this venue.
The staff were all very professional but at the same time very friendly and personable. The extra touches of our stay much appreciated. I also want to specifically mention my gluten and dairy free requirements were expertly catered for and I didn't miss out on the menu at all.
We took friends as a treat for Lunch, knowing from previous visits the cooking of Chef Nick Brodie was of a High Standard. On this occasion the outcome was stunning a Lunch that many a 3 Star Michelin Restaurant would have been so proud of. Congratulations Llangoed Hall, Kitchen and waiting Staff and Chef Nick Brodie.
A lovely.afternoon in beautiful surroundings. Attention to detail was second to none
Lovely afternoon tea. Excellent service from a lovely young man . Thank you
Lovely location, great customer service. Dinner was delicious, room was clean and delightfully decorated with nice view. Only negative would be the bed: the mattress was a bit lumpy and uneven and the location of the Deluxe room was right next to the cleaning cupboard which was a bit noisy even though you could hear that the service staff was trying to be as quiet as possible but since the bed is right by the entrance door this was impossible not to be aware of.
Absolutely first class afternoon tea in a beautiful place with excellent, unobtrusive service. You made my birthday extra special.
Lovely country hotel style atmosphere. Unstuffy , pleasant staff who look after you well. The delicious smell of fresh flowers and Noble Isle diffusers wafts in the air as you walk through the hotel. I particularly liked the drawing room - pretty linen sofas and stunning views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. Food very good and well presented. Gardens immaculately kept with pretty wild flower meadow areas. We look forward to returning!
Such a beautiful place. Wonderful food, and very friendly and professional staff. We couldn’t be happier.
Food is great if you where only staying the one night more than that then it would be good to see a little more variation in the Menu, apart from that we loved it and we would come back , the room we had was outstanding . Thank you
Excellent food, great location and service
I booked afternoon tea as a special treat for our wedding anniversary. It certainly did not disappoint. Fantastic!!! We couldn't have had a better afternoon. Thank you.
Service excellent, Grounds and building excellent. Very pleased, may return for longer stay. Small , small things. More available soft water bottles to transport on grounds. LIttle Little tiny thing. Front entry way has a slight smell of " farming" due to the boot storage. May , may, may be a problem for some guests. Loved it. really.
Great place with superb food and service
Exceptional in every way and I have been fortunate to stay in some of the best hotels in the world. We stayed 2 nights this trip, but the Dinner Menu was the same both evenings, which was slightly disappointing. We will certainly return, and next time stay longer. You have a great team of young enthusiastic staff which is a credit to you.
Always a pleasure to have afternoon tea here.
