booking in advance recommended.
Very relaxed and inviting welcome, lovely setting and great service from the attentive staff, particularly the waiter from Poland, who was interesting to chat to. The tea was good and the scones delicious, as were the sandwiches, just disappointed we didn’t get trifle or fruit cake as was advertised for the full afternoon tea. A little quiet, would have been lovely to have some gentle piano in the background, but my husband played a few tunes on the baby grand, as he is a jazz pianist, so that was a bonus! Many thanks.
Thank you for making our visit so very enjoyable. My mother really appreciated the quality and style. This sets you apart from the other afternoon teas in this area. I know that you want to continue to push the high standards so some constructive comments would be. a) slightly more frequent circle into the room to see if there was anything we needed as it took some time to get the tea refreshed. b) the welsh cakes could have been a bit thicker and less crisp on the outside - I appreciate this may be the style you wished for. These did not detract from an excellent afternoon tea and we will be back.
Family birthday afternoon tea. Very enjoyable first visit even though we live locally. Will not be the last. The staff were friendly ansld excallent with just the right amount of attention. Jim Wilson
The heating was not very efficient
The bedrooms are cold
Very attractive location which is easy to find and reasonably accessible. Charming 'old world' house, very friendly and attentive staff and delicious food.
Elderflower champagne was just elderflower fizzy cordial and 2 of our guest were given that when they only requested normal afternoon tea
Outstanding dining experience.
Absolutely wonderful food, attentive service and an amazing ambience. Definitely to be recommended.
Would have liked to stay longer to enjoy house, artwork etc and grounds.
Dinner was excellent. The presentation very attractive, and the tastes and flavours were sublime, even down to the smoked butter! Staff were attentive and very helpful, especially Robert with his well-judged wine recommendations!
Absolutely delightful, food was amazing. we regularly travel and the dining experience at the Llangoed hall was one of the best we have experienced the a very long time. Staff were attentive, friendly and no request was too much trouble. Can’t recommend highly enough Kate & Keith Evans
We stayed with our 8 year old daughter and really enjoyed our amazing experience the accommodation was amazing and the staff made us feel like royalty. Would highly recommend
Beautiful place. Been with u many times but the tea was very disappointing. Welsh cakes were hard and burnt. Scones were tasteless. Shame because I love coming to Llangoed
This was a gift which was a wonderful treat and hugely enjoyed - the wonderful art was an unexpected extra!
Some subtle background music would add to the ambience. Waiter, whilst pleasant, appeared to be rushing us!
We enjoyed the stay, however, we feel that the Autumn Break price of £375 for our state room, including afternoon tea and dinner for two, was a little overpriced.
Professional staff, beautiful property, comfortable room, all add up to a great stay...thank you all !!!
A great stay. The epitome of what a country house experience should be. Unobtrusive but excellent service, food is modern but trusted flavour combinations and perfectly cooked. The bread and butter which was "smoked" was creative, fun and mouth watering. A perfect compliment of wines completed the meal with the full stop being a glass of Penderyn Merlin by the fire in the elegant sitting room.
Fantastic stay. All staff were great and Josh is a fine young man who will be a star in the hospitality sector. Robert also was the perfect host at dinner. Lovely room and little extra touches were spot on.
All staff were very attentive ,welcoming and polite and I have sent a letter of thanks to Sergio the manager
We loved our stay at Llangoed Hall. We regretted only being able to book1 night! Everything was first rate!
Wonderful stay and dinner
An absolutely beautiful venue with delicious food and service which was second to none. Would love to come for another stay one day. Perfect.
It would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room
