About Little Ships Ramsgate
With stunning views over the Royal Harbour, Little Ships Restaurant and Café takes its name from the armada of 'Little Ships' who set sail from Ramsgate during the Dunkirk evacuations in 1940. Open 7 days a week, we serve an all day dining and café menu which specialises in fish and local produce from Kent farms. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options available. Enjoy coffee and drinks overlooking the marina.
The waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful, he couldn't do enough. The food was full of flavour and good quality.
Smashing restaurant. Good food, good service, plenty of choice on menu. Highly recommend.
I took my mum and dad for breakfast on Sunday. The food was lovely. Not greasy. I had the breakfast flatbread it was amazing. My dad had the light breakfast and mum had boiled soilders she said the eggs were perfect and the bread was lovely. Service was lovely. I already have recommended to several of my family and friends.
Brilliant in every respect - as always!
We were a group of 8 and all of us had great food. The staff could not have been more helpful and were a credit to the restaurant. We will definitely be going back both as a group and as individual couples.
lovely food and great service.
I really like Little Ships, in my opinion it serves the best food, service and value in Ramsgate
We had a lovely evening the food was brilliant have not had a meal at that level for a long time. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone and now have made this my number one choice to eat. There is not one thing that could fault
Much better since Xmas eve when we came in for breakfast that day Lunch time special offer is very good and the scotch egg lived up to its reputation
Completely delicious - can’t wait to go back!
We had a fantastic meal at little ships, the food is fantastic and the service excellent. Big thumbs up.
Booked a table in advance and and thankfully it was right by the window with a lovely view of the harbour. Food was delicious staff were friendly and will definitely recommend to friend's, relatives, complete strangers and will certainly be going again.
Very nice visit. Thank you.
Thank you for a really enjoyable lunch on Father's Day. This was our first visit to you, but certainly won't be our last! x
For the past several months, and following my first very enjoyable visit, I have used Little Shops many times, these being for dinner, lunch and, on a couple of occasions, for breakfast. Today I visited just for drinks. On every visit the service has been consistently friendly, attentive, efficient and knowledgible. The menu offers a wide range of tasty and wholesome dishes which are well presented and reasonably priced. I have never had any reason to be critical of Little Ships in any way, and nor have the many friends and relatives who have visited on my recommendation! Looking forward to my next planned visit for dinner with friends on 5th July - although I’ll almost certainly visit “on spec” before that time
Food is great quality. Service is warm and friendly. Great interior and lovely views of Ramsgate harbour. Can’t wait for next visit
We had a delicious meal at The Little Ships, the service was excellent as was the food and ambience. Would highly recommend!
Great food Great service
Excellent food and service . A very caring and lovely waitress. This is now our favourite restaurant
Really nice place, good food and service.
As always impeccable service and delicious food, love it here. Thankyou
My mother-in-law, my wife and I were on holiday in Ramsgate when we booked at the Little Ships restaurant. It was the National Fish & Chips day. We ordered two fish & chips, one dover sole and an artisan bread basket. The fish & chips were a masterpiece of culinary art. The dover sole with French fries was delicious. One could at once guess that everything was cooked by a highly professional chef. The artisan bread was hot, amazing taste, and served with an olive oil and vinegar dipping which complimented to our meal. As all three of us are quite mature people, we had only main dishes and coffees and ice creams for a desert. The waitering staff were very professional and well presented. We had a table by the window and could enjoy a beautiful view of the Royal Ramsgate Harbour. There is also a view from the restaurant onto the the Military Arches. There is a homely and warm atmosphere in the restaurant. It is very clean inside, no annoying flies flying around, and the toilets are sparkling clean. The Dunkirk theme of the restaurant compliments to the World War II history of Ramsgate and blends well with the surrounding historic iconic sites. Although it was raining and windy, our visit to the Little Ships made our day.
Amazing food a real little hidden gem in ramsgate
I soo wanted to like it but the whole experience was disappointing. Wine presented in a small carafe but a cheapy old glass on the table to drink it out of - even though when asked they provided a very nice red wine glass. Just serve the wine in a decent glass in the first place! We both ordered baked camembert - they must have used a cheap version as it wasnt "gloopy" as it should be - we had to cut it with a knife. It was edible but not really as a baked camembert should be! There was one waitress who didnt understand anything and the other who was rushed off her feet - clearly she was very good but she cant do it all. This place appears to be trying to be something it isn't - its a limited and expensive menu but the service and quality of food didnt match up. At £44 for 2 baked camemberts and chips, a bread board and 2 glasses of wine it was an expensive and disappointing lunch. We won't be returning which is a shame as there is clearly some promise here - just not fulfilled!
We booked a window seat and got one! We had just placed our order when my partner became suddenly unwell. The server was helpful, she had our food boxed and kept an eye out for him while I got the car. I was grateful to her and could not have managed the situation without her assistance. The food was delicious and she even put our wine into containers which I enjoyed once I got home and put the patient to bed! We will be back.
