About Little Ships Ramsgate
With stunning views over the Royal Harbour, Little Ships Restaurant and Café takes its name from the armada of 'Little Ships' who set sail from Ramsgate during the Dunkirk evacuations in 1940. Open 7 days a week, we serve an all day dining and café menu which specialises in fish and local produce from Kent farms. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options available. Enjoy coffee and drinks overlooking the marina.
Excellent in all respects
The food is always excellent, and the clever decor always a pleasure. Yesterday the staff was stretched, but there are usually enough to handle the numbers of guests. My only complaint - and its probably because I’m old and deaf - is that the music ALWAYS overwhelms conversation; even the delightful gentle jazz was too loud for comfort. Otherwise five stars as always.
A warm welcome and excellent service. There are lots of choices on the menu and all prepared really well. The Gin menu was fun too with Kentish gins to try.
The food was delicious, and beautifully cooked. However, for the portion sizes, it was a little on the pricey side. Loved the restaurant and the reference to the Little Ships used in the evacuation of our troops from Dunkirk! Service was helpful and friendly!
When we walked in from the cold we were greeted in such a friendly and warm manner. The service was brilliant all night, the food was incredible and we will definitely be back again.
Really had a nice evening, but was a little disappointed that both of our wine choices was out of stock! As it is not a vast wine list could not understand why 2 were unavailable.
Very good food and service as always
Went on Valentines night as we'd visited before on the same night a few years before, no real effort made to make the restaurant feel romantic, no roses or decoration on the tables, the menu was the normal everyday menu with a small specials menu with three starters which was made up of three different types of cauliflower and not a great deal else. Disappointed taking my wife.
We've eaten at Little Ships many times but this was our first Sunday lunch there. Excellent meal and service.
Lovely restaurant, great food friendly staff. Soft drinks too expensive £5 for a pint of coke !!! Shame not to look after the drivers. Lovely cocktails again too expensive for the quality of expertises.
We always have a great time; delicious food and fantastic service. See you again soon.
Lovely meal with family. Staff attentive and friendly.
The monk fish special was absolutely delicious, hope it becomes a permanent dish on the menu
Lovely lunch! Food amazing and staff really helpful and friendly.
Banana cake to die for!
Had a fabulous date night with my husband on Sunday night. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t believe the size of my pork chop dinner! I will be recommending my friends to come down to your restaurant. We can’t wait to come again. Xx
We booked online, very easily, and indicated that two of the party needed gluten free meals. We were very impressed with the service, the meals were well presented and delicious, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Highly recommended,.
Fantastic service, Matthew is a credit to your company! We were made to feel like we were the only customers in the restaurant. You made my husbands birthday meal very special. Thank you.
We had a great lunch here. Lovely view of the harbour and interesting food well cooked and presented. Good value all round - will go again.
Excellent evening with friends who were very impressed
Fabulous food and great atmosphere
Great location overlooking the harbour. Delicious food and friendly atmosphere.
When the two of us have a sudden impulse to eat out we find The Little Ships is the most enjoyable place to go in the town centre of Ramsgate
We enjoyed our food at lunch very much- interesting and tasty. Our waitress was good, but could have done with some help as she seemed rushed off her feet! Our wine arrived in an opened bottle -hence it could have been decanted from elsewhere? It was not warm enough in the restaurant. These are small niggles but worth mentioning as we'd like to make a return visit. Please make sure we are kept OFF any marketing or promotional emails
There was confusion with our order and when I got home I realised we had been charged twice for two tiny pots of marmalade...at a pound each one it's steep enough but to be charged £4 for them is adding insult to injury, the food was delicious as always but check your bill carefully
