Relaxed & informal neighbourhood restaurant with a wine-led approach to French cuisine.
Lovely food and really great service, look forward to coming back soon!!
Went on a Friday lunchtime with three friends all armed with good appetites and all partial to good wines. All I can say is..... Great Food /Wines Great Atmosphere Great Staff A really enjoyable Friday afternoon. To be repeated very soon.
We shared starters of the salt cod brandade and the lamb sweetbreads, both were delicious but the sweetbreads really were superb leaving that rather nice unctuous taste in the mouth 11/10. Mains we had the Pot au feu and the venison, again both fantastic,my only thing with the beef was that the bowl was a little small and was quite difficult to cut, given the amount of veg and bone marrow across the top, both 9/10 we didn’t have room for pud. A special word for the guy running foh, brilliant from start to finish making it a really great lunch Cheers Dave and Karen Jack and will definitely be back later in the year
We went for the dish of the day, with wine, which was tasty and good value.
Fabulous food yet again. Service exceptional
An easy ambience with pleasantly attentive and helpful staff, interesting and well presented food. The starters are a particular delight
Loved it Fabulous food We will be back
My family had dinner here to celebrate a birthday. From start to finish the whole evening was perfect. The food was spectacular and the team that looked after us all night could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. I could not recommend this little gem more for food, atmosphere but key to the venue is their amazing team!
Imaginative food & excellent service
Excellent meal and great service. Thanks for the bread.
Great everything. Thanks!
Had the most amazing date lunch at Little French with gorgeous husband! Its my fav eatery, authentic French cooking and such a welcoming environment! The food was sooo delicious, perfectly cooked rib eye and Jerusalem artichokes, moules frites and pear and almond tart. Attentive very knowledgeable staff so a huge thanks to Nessa and her team!
Just fabulous and the staff were friendly and helpful. We’ll be back
Superb food and outstanding service (again)!
Had to move table due to rocky table. Original and interesting food. Interesting wine list with a special connoisseur section. Delightful service.
Beautiful ambiance, top-notch service, (the perfect and very welcome balance of attentiveness and non-invasiveness), however, both were topped by the food. The Queen scallops must have been sent from heaven, (not a drop of sauce left on any of our plates), the recommended Guineas Fowl with frites to share was such a brilliantly family-oriented way of serving the tastiest and poshest ‘chicken and chips’ I’ve ever had, (will be ordering this next time too). And then the pork belly, little french’s version of my go-to most favourite dish. Oh my life! Melt in the mouth pork, light and crispy crackling. (How do they do that?). Thank you for the great experience.
Great food, service and ambience.
All round fabulous!
We had a great evening with delicious food and wine. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back. The staff were fab too!
Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was amazing! For me soft drinks were limited but it definitely wouldn’t put me off coming again. Overall a great place and I have already recommended to friends who were luck enough to get a table tonight.
Our first time visiting and certainly won’t be our last! Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Delicious food, great service & fabulous attention to all details. A proper treat!
Made to feel welcome by front of house on a stormy January date . Having read the Sunday Times revue which excellent, very keen therefore to experience Little French for our selves. We were not disappointed but not at a fine dining level yet ,but a good bistro standard.
Only there for lunch but will definitely be going back for an evening meal!! Very enjoyable.
A very disappointing sunday lunch. Service was dreadful. Nearly 1 1/2 hours to get to the main course.. Frites were not hot.and had obviously been standing around. before service. Because of a problem with the ventilation the door to the street was left open. Really unpleasant draught.. What a shame after the pleasant meals we have had here. Peter
