About Liberte Liverpool
Liberté is located on the third floor of the Bentley Building on the Strand, boasting ‘breath-taking’ views of Liverpool’s waterfront, including the Three Graces and panoramic views of the city.
The name Liberté, meaning freedom, was chosen to reflect the venues New York influence. With views of the river Mersey in the backdrop it was important to keep some of the city’s grand heritage and the statue of Liberty being the first Landmark you see when travelling on the infamous Liverpool – New York cruise line route
Have you got a special occasion coming up? We have got you covered here at Liberte. We can accommodate up to all sizes in our restaurant and will go above and beyond to make sure you have the perfect night with the most amazing food.
From birthday parties, baby showers, works Christmas parties, corporates meetings to conferences, we can do it all. We suggest you book in advance to save disappointment.
Didn't dine in the end. Due to weather the roof-top restaurant was closed and although we were offered dining it would have been on the same floor as a very noisy disco/function was taking place so we declined without fuss. So star ratings based on that in that only service could be judged accurately. However, on our next visit to L'Pool we will probably make a new booking for Liberte...
Absolutely smashing night. What a place 🤩 amazing staff, great food and good vibes!!!! Will deffo be booking again xxx
Still waiting for my refund from february been promised it week after week with every excuse under the sun an all my messages via insta are been read an ignored. Awful customer service. Still posting and advertising on insta an social media but read an ignore customer messages.
You cancelled on me, and still have not had a refund.
The food was very tasty but got cold very quickly due to the air con and my party which had 2 elderly parents had to put their coats on to finish their meal. We were planning on staying for a few drink but had to leave straight after meal as the temperature was too cold. We did ask for the air con to be switched off which was done but it came back on shortly after.
Went for Sunday roast, served on a wooden board for two people, nice presentation but it was only adequate for one !!! You then transfer food to a cold plate which was already on the table when seated. Staff very friendly, nice to hear live music.
The venue is ok....not as 'exclusive' as I expected but it's ok....the food was fine, Sunday roast was pretty good but not as warm as it should have been. Service was pleasant but pedestrian (had to reorder drinks a couple of times). The entertainment - a lady playing guitar and singing was superb....very talented ! My biggest concern however was that there was no hand-wash in the gents so I mentioned this to a member of staff and by the time we left some 25/30 minutes later, no one had gone to change it....and they weren't exactly busy (lunchtime, Sunday 15th, etc)....
Food was amazing Staff were so friendly and lovely deffo come back again
Food was cold no draft beer and lots of the menu unavailable although what we did get was nice
I celebrated my 58th birthday there and thoroughly enjoyed every minute Amazing food, cocktails atmosphere, and very friendly welcoming staff;especially Becci. You made me feel young again. Thank you 😊😊
Had groupon voucher 5 small shared plates 2 glasses or prosecco was told cannot be used on a Sunday as the kitchen can’t cope and there was no tapas, there was no one in there for the kitchen to not cope. Was completely disappointed. Booked it for my partners birthday.
we arrived at 7pm, and was greeted by lovely bar staff, they showed us to our table and we ordered drinks, a little disappointed that they had no Malibu or dark rum, but the alternative was just as good, we had a carvery meal which was a very tasty chicken with all the trimmings..veggie options were available..followed by a cheese cake and fresh raspberry..also a cocktail to follow. .real carrabean feel, and great views from the window..I would recommend this hidden cocktail bar and restaurant.. very good value for money, and around the corner from James street train station..
Exceptional staff, great food and fabulous atmosphere, will definitely be booking again!!! Xx
Just great! Fast service, quality food an friendly staff :)
Sunday Meal was beautiful really enjoyed the afternoon, singer was great
loved this restaurant it was so unusual we got a lovely booth overlooking the docks and liver building fantastic funky house music was being played in the background perfect for a Friday afternoon. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the food was delicious when I next visit Liverpool I will definitely go back x
Lovely surroundings, lovely food and lovely staff
Excellent food, good service and nice atmosphere, will be returning sooner rather than later.
Enjoyable Sunday afternoon lunch service, and meal left us with no complaints
Food and service was great
Very impressed with your food served for Sunday lunch, yesterday, 23/02/2020 & the New York cheesecake & ice cream was delicious. The staff were all very attentive & welcoming so we'll be returning in the future. Thank you Liberté, you made my partner's Birthday a special day!
We had a lovely Sunday lunch. My husband is vegetarian and was not particularly enamoured with Butternut squash as the veggie offering, and less so when it was not available and roasted carrot was offered. Our waitress was quick to resolve it by offering a much more attractive fish option. 10 / 10 for such flexible service. Well done to all who work there.
We came for a bottomless brunch on Friday, we were seated and then had to wait 20minutes to order a drink and the service was extremely poor throughout. I think the waiter was Italian, he was quite rude, kept just shrugging when we asked questions and saying he was tired as he has been busy. Made us feel really uncomfortable initially and it was clear he was making the girl behind the bar uncomfortable too! Having said that Food was absolutely lovely and it wouldn’t put us off coming again, we would just have to hope it was on a day he wasn’t working!!
We arrived on time and were standing around for ages for our table, when we sat down no one came over to take our drinks order for ages so we had to go and grab someone to take our order, when they brought the bills over the staff were rude and pulling faces when we were only trying to sort our bill out, we don’t know how much was spent or anything especially considering there was a service charge of nearly £50 we didn’t get the service we expected when we constantly had to get someone to come over.
