Afternoon Tea is served daily 13.00 - 17.00
Staff were super friendly and attentive. Lovely afternoon tea, very much enjoyed.
Service on the day was appalling...staff not trained properly
Excellent food in a nice location - although afternoon tea in the same area as the main bar is a bit strange. However the biggest failing was the deplorable service. Too few staff available and the few that were available were all badly trained with little customer focus and that ability to walk past customers whilst failing to pay them any attention. Really surprised at the management of this 'top class hotel' for allowing such sloppy service. They should go to the Conrad in London to learn to serve afternoon tea and provide top class customer service.
The service was incredibly slow and considering it wasn’t particularly busy it made no sense! Won’t be booking for next year!
While appreciating it was Christmas Eve, there was a good bit of confusion around my specific allergies, despite them being provided at the time of booking well in advance and the service was somewhat slow. While the food was good, it was a little on the light side in terms of sandwiches and the whole experience was somewhat frustrating because of the delays around allergy confusion.
I wanted to have a meal and was told by phone that I could have it in Lemuel`s all that was available were snacks to accompany drinks. Very disappointed
Staff on the floor were really attentive to us. Could not fault them. A great way to spend an afternoon towards Christmas.
Very nice afternoon tea! Thank you!
Such a disappointment yet again! I don't understand how a hotel with 5 stars can produce such bad food and slow service. We raised this to the staff but were in such a rush to eat and go (waited 45mins for a toasted sandwich) we didn't have time. My sandwich was cold and not even garnished! My friends sandwich, pre-prepared was average. We have had to endure the slow service in both Lemuels and Coburg. Absolutely not good enough.
I booked for afternoon tea for four people, we arrived at 2.45 and were advised it would be 30 mins or so for our order, fine, we ordered a bottle of Proscecco, came about 15 mins later, a big act of making the tea which when poured was cold - not surprising as "boiling" water remained in a not heated jug for about 10 mins - at this stage requested an ordinary pot of tea and coffee be brought to the table, savory sandwiches ok but it was now about 4 pm, the desserts arrived about 15 mins later and what a dissappointment - we complained and were charged for two afternoon teas which was still excessive, overcharged for a bottle of Proscecco which was reduced on questioning the price. Luckily I was with close friends and could laugh it off but what a dissappointment - might I suggest you revert to orignal Afternoon tea, dainty sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and petit fours served on a three tier serving plate. Regards. Anne Desmond
Hi we had Tea for two today, it was absolutley disgracefull. We booked for 2.00pm , we got seated in a very quiet bar the two lads on duty very nice. First off i got a dirty cup & then we waited for 45 mins for sandwiches to come out, which came out on plates. Our tea was cold , we then waited another 20 mins for desert . Absoluted disgusted we were offered a free drink but sure our experience was ruined. On your tea time photo your food comes on a little stand ours came out on plates not the full effect of afternoon tea & what you have advertised. I wont be recommending the conrad for afternoon tea to friends & family. Yours sinceraly Margaret Lowndes
Overall experience somewhat disappointing. The decor is nice and comfortable. There was only one experienced staff to look after all guests, prepare all drinks and collecting food from the kitchen, while trying to train a new staff member. Despite all his efforts the waiting time for everything was unacceptable. Some of the dishes and cakes were nice, other were actually stale. Dishes were poorly presented cramped in dark pink plate, not the type of presentation I would expect for a 5* hotel. I guess it’s cheaper than alternatives in the area but I’m afraid no way close to the level or service and quality of dishes.
Dmitri and his staff were incredibly accommodating, and made our experience perfect. Thank you!
Enjoyable afternoon catching up with friends for teatime!
The Afternoon Tea Fare was good. The service was excellent (thank you, Malcolm). We were made feel very welcome. The time lapse between arrival at our table & the first serving of food was quite long at circa 40 minutes. Perhaps, this could br improved upon for the future. Overall, a good experience. Thank you David Browne
We had a wonderful afternoon at The Conrrad, the afternoon tea was fabulous, the service was fantastic. We will be back soon!
We were served by two gentlemen for our bottomless frizzante afternoon tea. Both were only recently trained but they each highly professional and friendly. One was called Dominic and unfortunately I can't remember the other mans name. The food was incredible and the service was attentive but not interfering which I've experienced at other venues for afternoon tea. There was no rush to get you off the table. The staff were extremely knowledgeable of each dish served and of the various teas on offer. This was my second time here for afternoon tea and I will definitely be back for more. Highly recommended.
High tea before attending NCH. Excellent service and very tasteful treats. Disappointed that my pre order of one vegan serving did not appear to be on record and delayed service somewhat.
Our Afternoon Tea was excellent. One if the best we've had, however I feel it needs to be in a separate area from the bar in order to give it a more "special occasion" feel. Sitting in a bar is fine for drinks or bar food but Afternoon Tea is generally a celebratory special occasion and in our opinion it should be treated so. But the food itself was excellent. The bar was busy so the staff although very nice were somewhat stretched. A dedicated area and staff member for Afternoon Tea would have greatly improved our experience.
Endroit calme et feutré. Idéal pour ma première expérience d’un Afternoon Tea. A refaire.
Lovely very relaxing
I have had afternoon tea on Christmas Eve as a tradition over the last number of years in various hotels including the west bury and the Westin They were far superior in terms of experience and value for money , overall very disappointing
Our annual family gathering at Lemuel was the best we have had, thanks to the excellent service. Our waiter Sebastian could not have more helpful and attentive- nothing was too much trouble. Lemuel is the ideal spot to meet no matter what the occasion.
Myself and my two college friends thoroughly enjoyed our Promenade at the Iveagh afternoon tea yesterday. The food was superb and the presentation incredible. However it was the service and staff that made it extra special. I could not commend the experience highly enough, by far the most friendly, professional and courteous service I have experienced in memory. Also, thank you most kindly for the extremely thoughtful personalised platter of chocolates marking our mini student reunion. Our college memories are intrinsically associated with not just the Iveagh Gardens, but also with the Conrad Hotel. Thank you again and we all very much look forward to re-visiting.
Many thanks for an utterly fabulous experience
