About Le Macaron
Indulge in the ultimate patisserie and delicatessen with gourmet choices from around the world.
Good selection of wines and cheese, pleasant live music and excellent service. Very good value for money. I will come again and recommend it to my friends. Thank you
Absolutely terrible service from the male staff, on Feb. 13rd. This staff is a shame for Sofitel. Female trainee was great and thanks to her, our evening has not been spoiled.
We attended the wine and oyster event qt the wine boutique, the oysters especially from France were very good. Too bad the staff was not able to inform us about the variety of Oysters, would have been usefull for a tasting. Also we were disappointed to only find 2 varieties of oysters, as we could see on social networks that there have been tastings with at least 4 different kind of oysters, which makes also sense for a tasting. The products were good, but we lacked diversity.
i had great time with good wine, cheese and ham. if they have small appertiser, such as salad, will be great
The service was perfect the lady in charge of wine is very good the food is a bit poor cheese was nice but simple quality for a french compagny same for bread very low quality . I think a few small details to plus the event will be great it s not a small price . And it was very few cusomer so i believe you can do much better and can be full as well you have everything in hands ,I will come back and bring people next time .good luck
Would have been even better if there were chutneys to go with the cheese!
I had a good time Thankyou
Staff at the entrance lobby did not seem to be aware of the scheme and the name Macaron is really confusing as this both a pastry and another location within the same place
Bad food and too much people
I think the Christmas reading is a wonderful tradition. I was disappointed that this year it was held in the Lobby. I also felt that Santa could have been more jovial and suited for his position... Also, the story could have actually been a read-aloud that benefitted the kids rather than just Santa. Please consider moving the reading back upstairs and inviting a more professional Santa for next year. Thank you.
I booked for 4 adults 3 children and a baby. I thought the layout of the venue was odd as it was spread accross the wine bar and hotel lobby area so you couldn't sit in one area and see everything or keep an eye on your kids with out leaving your table. If the offer included a Christmas drink for the adults who had paid full price this would have been more welcoming - staff were a bit grumpy in general. Santa was the real disappointment, he was too thin and didn't let the children see the pictures in the book when he was reading, it was hard to hear him also. All the children sat around for the story and within a few minutes they had all lost interest. He read the Lion King, we were hoping for something Christmassy. His presents were super cheap rubbish also. The magician and balloon lady were the highlight, thank goodness for them or I would have really resented paying and spending the afternoon there. Food was ok, glad there was a gluten free option which I had requested when booking.
Simply the best cheese and wine in town .
Best value for money.
Had 2 thoroughly enjoyable nights two weeks in a row. Groups of 16 both times. Great value for money.
The food and beverage selection dramatically exceeded our expectations. I thanked them for making my wife's birthday so special and then they brought us a complimentary chocolate mousse! I would recommend this to anyone and cant wait to go back!
The guy serving the wine wasn't friendly at all. This made me feel really bad and uncomfortable. This is the only thing that wasn't satisfying for me.
C’est une soirée très agréable.
Cadre très agréable , personnel à l écoute. Seul bémol : trop bruyant, impossible d entendre la musique.
An excellent evening. Great food and great choice of wine
We had a lovely evening and enjoyed the food and wine very much indeed. The service was excellent.
We were two and did enjoy the wine and the cheese. We liked the explanations given to the wines. Also positive was that there was no hurry to finish a wine and taste the next. The wines were all tasty only the white wine from Chile was very sweet, nearly an old fashioned Riesling. I'm sure we will repeat this wine drinking
Oyster was fresh and had many varieties of oysters to choose. The same as wine. Many countries and many grape varietal to taste. Very impressive!
