About Left Bank Cafe
Inspired by the tradition of the artists, writers and philosophers who frequented the Parisian bistros in the Latin Quarter during the sixties, the Left Bank Café provides a delightful ambiance for breakfast or lunch.
A feast for the eyes and the senses, the extensive breakfast buffet offers traditional French pastries, locally sourced organic yoghurts, a variety of cold cuts, cereals and fruits. Impressive cooked options complete the experience.
Light lunch menu embraces international flavours incorporating the best local ingredients on offer.
The service is awesome as the waiter and waitress are warm and helpful on the menu. The restaurant environment is welcoming and comfortable! Love seafood chowder and dessert the most!
We had the raclette and it was absolutely delicious. Very good value for money considering we are on the other side of the planet from where it’s orginaly made from. Thanks to the staff very attentionate. Excellent service.
AMAZING food and service, great atmosphere. Definitely will be back!
Really nice food almost everything just a French fries weren't crispy even we asked extra crispy that was 2nd time I had a soggy flies so I won't order anymore next time. Other food were so good really enjoyed that. However when we paid they charged extra few cents I nearly asked why? but can't be bother as just a few cents.
Great service with fantastic food
Very nice staff meals supurb good atmosphere great wine list and thank you for organising the cake your service could not be faulted cheers.
See my TA review. Restaurant had no booking despite a booking confirmation. We were sat at the exact spot we requested not to sit (at the entrance). Two of the dishes were very poor. Despite our complaints no remedy offered. Never to return.
Something perfect, just to remind me how fantastic this city is ! I' m from France, and i have to admit, if there' s one thing that i miss, it' s the food !! Cheese, wine, and so much more that it would be too long to list it.. What a great surprise, when, a few weeks ago, i heard that the "Raclette", a traditional French winter dish, as famous as a Fondue or a Tartiflette, usually eaten in the mountains (Alps, ski resorts) is coming to town ! Served on a large wooden board, you can find all of the ingredients for a successful meal : charcuterie (delicious thin slices of cold meat) and potatoes, covered by melting cheese, that the amazing team on the floor pours just in front of you, at the table.. It is as good for your diet as a greasy Burger, but .. You can even find salad on your board, just in case you' re feeling guilty.. You can ask for more cheese if you need to, for a little extra of $6.. I advice everyone who hasn' t try this dish yet to run over there and do it ! you won' t regret it ! it is of course not dairy free, or vegetarian..
One of the best in town! Always great food and very friendly and nice staff! :) we couldn't make it on the date we booked it for, and they happily changed us to go tonight instead, which was really nice of them and as we didn't want to miss such great dinner:)
We had a wonderful experience! The waiter (I don't recall his name) was superb. He attended to our every need! Not to mention that the raclette was delicious! Will be coming back very soon.
Really nice service. Cool atmosphere half bistro half savoie style!
Lovely meal with our family, nice waitress and tasty food
Everything was excellent entree, main , drink, ambient, service but dessert not quite good, we order... crape it too much alcohol that they put on top , waitress didn't mentioned that will be alcohol. Pudding date very dry. Lemon tart way too sour ...
Good drinks selection, and varied food menu. Onion soup was delicious. My duck was delicious. My friend ordered medium-rare lamb, but it was served more like medium/well done. Nice ambience and setting. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Amazing as always!
Perfect place for a birthday celrbration.
An impressively authentic French restaurant in the heart of QTown with exceptional service and high quality cuisine.
Left Bank has amazing food, and service! Cheers to Tamara and the other girls for the excellent service!
A really great dining experience, will recommend to everyone I know
We had a fabulous meal and dinning experience. The meals are generous and of high quality. The wait staff are simply fantastic its nice to receive attentive, polite and welcoming service which is sadly lacking in Queenstown. Thank you
Thank you for another wonderful evening. Most definitely the best bloody marry in town.
Amazing food and probably the nicest staff in town :)
The atmosphere and setting are lovely. The steaks ordered were cooked to perfection. The onion soup was delicious and the mussels were great. Sadly the chocolate mousse was grainy and very bitter. The creme brûlée had a weird lump of fruit on top of the crisp sugar. The custard was smooth and creamy. We will definitely be back and would recommend the left bank to friends.
