About Le Deck by Laurent Peugeot
Restaurant Lounge Bar by Laurent Peugeot
Place is nice. Nice cuisine but the meals were far too much salty. Supervisor was really helpful and friendly. Waiters are not at the level required for this high level restaurants. Worth the visit anyway.
There was a woman manager and she was really rude and not smiling and she was like what the hell are you doing here.
Wonderful and amaizing restaurant
Très bon dîner. Très bon service. Vins trop chers . Il faisait un peu froid et l’aération n’est pas suffisante donc très rapidement les odeurs de la cuisine prennent le dessus .
This restaurant needs improvement in it's standards of service for it to shine. They offer gimmicky menus that don't work, rocks as serving stones, no butter except for $7 compound butter, which is just a silly way to gouge customers, under seasoned food, lamb racks with no rack and poorly rendered fat, and waiters that have never been given training on the proper way to serve food and clear plates. Overall it was a terribly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend to anyone that they visit this restaurant.
The place is awesome and the service is perfect the waiter was very helpful The portion was very little for it's value and The local wine was over priced comparing to any other restaurant or bar The is a very weird rule that you have a plate can't be served for one person from the table and can't be shared Overall my experience was less than fair and i don't recommend your restaurant or bar to anyone
Fantastic location and great food, what more can one say
Excellent ambiance. Very good food taste and service. Need more menu variety. One of the most romantic spots in Cairo.
First waiter on the entrance was extremely rude and unprofessional. Manager was good. Food was below average.
Good atmosphere and music Overrated food Overpriced
-Music was too loud -Small drinks portions -limited food menu
I thought to have a great culinary experience, but it was just good. We took the 6 courses degustation menu, the octopus was not a Michelin star presentation and the taste was a bit bland, nice combination though. The egg in the cauliflower purè was overcooked to my taste, I expected it was poached and not boiled. The sea bass was excellent. The meat was over medium, but i asked rare, and for my wife was well done, but tasteless. The steak knife also was not a good one! Roquefort mousse was good, but too heavy in a 6 courses menu. Dessert was anonymous, the white chocolate ganache had the pistachios not toasted, and the biscuit (I don’t know how to call it....) was too dry. Nice combinations but not really up to Michelin standards. Maybe the French Chef was in day off?.....
Thanks u made it special.
Great setting. Food was good, but far too much. We had the Discovery 6 course meal and the portions were way too big
Amazing place to go
At a fancy restaurant we expected more. Our table wasn’t ready for us... plus when they prepared it. It wasn’t clean... your closing time is written till 2am while it’s actually 12:30... plus i added a note that it’s a romantic date so, I expected at least to find the candle on our table to be working fine!
Overpriced with quality not meeting expectation or prices, lighting reflection prevents you from enjoying nile view. Not prepared for hot days.
The music was too high it should be lower a bit
The music was so loud Very expensive
It may be a better idea to allocate shisha smokers to a different location other than the dining area. Otherwise, it was a truly wonderful experience. Thank you.
Food:& drink - The main dish and the amuse-bouche were very good; the meat was excellent. Bread very good. - The dessert was too sweet and shapeless. - Pimm's was not served with lemonade and mint and the right fruits. It was clear that no one had ordered it before at Le Deck, and the staff were not trained for it, although it is on the menu. Atmosphere: - The music was too loud. This was already highlighted to you by comments on Trip Adviser. We told the waiter, but no action was taken. The playlist, however was good. - The high step at the entrance caused people to trip.. - The intense lighting of the bar was reflected on the side glass preventing us from seeing the Nile. I would have thought that lights from the deck lighting the water would have been more successful. Service: - A waiter came and introduced himself as being the one who will serve us, then disappeared for the rest of evening. - Another waiter replaced him, but wouldn't stop talking. Again, staff training needs reinforcement.. General, This remains one of the best locations in the world to have dinner.
Amazing atmosphere and music , prices are kind of expensive , food is awesome but portion is very small
Superb location. Service a la francaise. Far away from the noisy and smoky places so called trendy, Le Deck provides a unique experience worth remembering.
All staff were extremely helpful, professional, and politely friendly. However, the quality of the food is quite below expectation.
